Bureaucratic Registration

Episode description

Episode 1: Bureaucratic Registration

What should have been a routine government appointment becomes a nightmare.

On the Solomani world of Jardin, a group of veterans, officials, and an autonomous AI answer a summons to the Hall of Chosen Futures for what appears to be little more than bureaucratic paperwork. As they wait among government workers and fellow citizens, chance reunions and small talk quickly give way to unease when a senior minister rushes past, gunfire erupts, and the impossible happens.

Suddenly trapped in the middle of a political assassination, the group must decide in an instant who to trust: the authorities they’ve served all their lives, or their own instincts. In a society built on loyalty, even the wrong decision made for the right reasons can change everything.

The spark has been lit. There is no going back.

Hello and welcome to Stars of the Past.

0:04

I'm going to probably delete this and have a better intro, but that was

0:04

my intro.

0:07

Okay.

0:09

So, we have our lots of players and everyone's going to gradually kind

0:09

of have

0:14

an introduction as things would go on,

0:16

but I do want to explain some basic concepts of the Solimani planet of

0:16

Jardin

0:21

that you are on.

0:22

You are at Nouvelle-Saint-Jeanin.

0:24

It is the capital of

0:27

The main planet of Jordan in the Soleimani Confederation.

0:31

Now, while it is normally incredibly safe, there are police activity to

0:31

pick up dissidents and

0:40

Random people who are having aggressions against the country.

0:44

But because of all of you having an aspect of a military background,

0:48

it is not uncommon for military people,

0:52

even retired ones, to carry their weapons as long as they have their

0:52

military IDs.

0:58

Because after all,

0:59

if there is a rebel outbreak,

1:01

you want to make sure that you can give your support with the Home Guard

1:04

and stop these dissidents and revolutionaries.

1:10

While all of you were at home in the last month or so,

1:13

you've received paperwork that is asking you to go to the Palace of

1:13

Continuity

1:21

for what some of you might seem as mundane paperwork,

1:24

others of you might think it's a little bit more oppressive.

1:29

Some of it might just be like, oh, you know, we need to

1:34

Confirm your genetic status to make sure that there has not been any

1:34

drift or

1:39

for Maru,

1:42

it would be, oh,

1:44

you've recently declared that you are an active AI,

1:47

we need to do the financial aspects of your costs being now under your

1:47

own piece and

1:53

that we can tell that you are not basically a murder bot that you're

1:53

going

1:57

to kill everyone for a whim.

2:01

Now you have different types of reasons why you need to be there.

2:05

Now, as you gradually take the local transportation from the archaeology

2:12

that you were all living in to the Hall of Chosen Futures,

2:16

you notice that the outside that you are being brought into is very

2:16

similar to a DMV

2:25

or other bureaucratic aspect where you have to

2:28

Go up, they give you a number after you've asked for certain things,

2:32

and then they call up people in groups.

2:36

One of the things that everyone does somewhat notice is as you go up,

2:44

they ask to see your military IDs to confirm that you're allowed

2:48

to have your weapons and whatever armor you do have on you.

2:53

You do notice that it is not common amongst the other people,

2:56

even though there are Home Guard people out there.

2:59

A lot of people didn't want to necessarily come packed for bear going to

3:06

a bureaucratic thing in case they wanted to seem as meek and mild

3:10

as they possibly could be.

3:12

But you guys are all a little bit of a harder edge of a crowd.

3:18

As you guys start putting in your data,

3:20

you notice people are being called up in orders that don't make any

3:20

sense.

3:26

Like someone who walked right in is put in a queue of a group of people

3:26

and

3:30

then sent up an elevator right away.

3:33

Comrade?

4:03

So, any of you can remind one of your other people, like, hey, didn't I

4:03

know you from?

4:08

I'm chin-checking a lot of people.

4:13

What was that?

4:15

I'm chin-checking.

4:17

You're chin-checking.

4:18

You're a chin-checker.

4:20

Gotta do the up-nod.

4:24

Do we have that, like, a screenshot of the

4:39

We do have that web.

4:41

We do have that web.

4:44

Where is it?

4:45

I look over at Kolb's character,

4:49

and I pause for a second,

4:51

and the eyebrows furrow for a second, like there's something there.

4:55

I go...

4:57

Now, if I remember correctly, it starts with a C, right?

5:03

Oh, yeah, correct.

5:07

Cass.

5:09

Yeah, we were on the same ship six cycles ago.

5:18

Yeah, the Venture.

5:20

Yeah, you were Special Weapons Tactics, something like that, if I

5:20

remember correctly.

5:28

Command team, but yeah.

5:31

Yeah.

5:34

You were, were you dockside security, or shipside security?

5:41

I was one of the line officers as well.

5:46

I came up through the ranks, as it were, you know, enlisted and then

5:46

officer.

5:54

Same, same.

5:56

I've probably drank in the mess once or twice.

6:00

Yeah.

6:01

Oh, no, I remember what it was.

6:02

It was the poker game that Carlos used to run, and that's what it was.

6:09

That's what it was.

6:10

Sorry.

6:10

It took me a second to get that guess.

6:12

Carlos was a fucking cheat.

6:14

He was a fucking cheat and a terrible bluffer.

6:19

I...

6:20

I would never say such a thing about such an awful,

6:24

god, terrible cheat, but, you know, a man is what he is, right?

6:33

But loyal to the party, and that's the important thing.

6:40

Sorry, everyone, I got excited about that for a second.

6:43

It's always good to see a comrade.

6:46

I look over at Victor and Dan and give them a wink.

6:51

Did you think that we'll be flying together again so soon?

6:57

Wait, who do you give a wink to?

7:00

Victor and Dan.

7:04

Okay.

7:04

Okay.

7:10

Okay.

7:11

I make eye contact with you, Emma,

7:16

but I don't know everyone,

7:19

so I don't want to give away that you're,

7:22

you know... Yeah, I admit that I am not acknowledging anyone.

7:28

I am like, yep,

7:29

I see you,

7:30

and you see me,

7:31

and we see each other, but we're good over here in our respective

7:31

bubbles.

7:35

Oh my god, I'm so stick to me.

7:39

So we have that idea of what we're carrying,

7:43

because I don't think my character is carrying anything.

7:48

She has capability to carry stuff, but I don't think I have anything.

7:51

Can we double check that?

7:53

I see rifle.

7:56

You could have a rifle over your back if you want, or you could have

7:56

your handgun.

8:00

What would you prefer?

8:03

I don't see handgun.

8:04

Where do you see handgun?

8:05

Under item zone.

8:07

Oh no, it's actually the same rifle.

8:09

I said two things, but yeah, that's where I was confused.

8:12

Let me explain.

8:14

Your gun's very weird, and that's why I have to kind of explain.

8:17

If you take time and go to a shop or, like,

8:20

have time in the back of a vehicle, you can actually change the stats of

8:20

your gun.

8:26

Cool.

8:27

Mine's upgraded.

8:29

Right.

8:29

So, rifle is longer, and it's like basically...

8:33

It's a slower kind of thing, but you have more damage.

8:36

Or you can move it to a corner line where you have like a...

8:41

I set myself off to the side a little bit and I'm just making sure that

8:41

I'm cleaning it.

8:49

It's my baby kind of thing where I've treated it so well and I just

8:49

wanted

8:54

to make sure that it's always at the ready and so I found myself

8:56

a decent little spot.

8:58

Not necessarily in the corner, but I am enjoying

9:01

The camaraderie and things like that,

9:03

but I'm not necessarily actively jovial or anything like that,

9:10

but I am enjoying the proximity of people that I've seen before.

9:16

Oh, okay.

9:18

Does Judith... She's cleaning her gun.

9:21

She's off a little bit to the side.

9:23

Does she look like she actively does not want to be approached?

9:27

You see that this... No.

9:28

I just need space for my rifle, and so I want to make sure that I'm...

9:33

I know how to use my weapon.

9:35

I know how to keep it away from people.

9:37

I know to not have it, like...

9:43

I'm like, you know being safe with the gun but at

9:59

I saw Mark and Victor's interactions and I enjoy, you know, some good

9:59

camaraderie.

10:04

So it's not like I'm standoffish.

10:07

I want to stay away from people.

10:08

I'm being respectful of this piece that I am carrying.

10:12

Sure.

10:13

In that case,

10:15

Kiernan,

10:15

who seems extremely comfortable with people bearing weapons and all this

10:15

stuff,

10:20

will sidle up kind of taking a similar mindset, like not wanting, you

10:20

know, just

10:27

Holding to old military habits,

10:29

not wanting to be in very obvious proud stuff,

10:34

we'll kind of work over to you and we'll just say under his breath a

10:34

little bit,

10:41

glad to see a fellow Solmarine serving solo.

10:45

Yes.

10:47

Yes.

10:48

Your reputation precedes you.

10:54

Not in a...

10:57

Recognize the compliment,

11:00

seeing that at my age now,

11:02

with my many years of experience,

11:05

I have to also recall that I'm not alone in this, especially in our

11:19

I guess you could say slightly awkward convergence.

11:23

I'm also a little wary of immediate pleasantries,

11:29

but I do acknowledge and I say thank you and

11:36

how are you doing and,

11:38

you know, that kind of thing.

11:40

I'm getting back into role play, guys.

11:42

It's

11:43

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course, of course.

11:47

He will introduce himself as Kiernan Shanislav.

11:50

Again, brief description.

11:53

Absolutely kitted out for what seems like active combat.

11:55

It's crazy how much, again,

11:57

weird, lots of religious paraphernalia, big tattoos, big red braid, big

11:57

beard.

12:04

He just seems to be a very militarized man who introduces himself as

12:04

Kiernan Shanislav.

12:11

I am also...

12:13

An old marine, I should not say old, very recently I have become set to

12:13

private service.

12:22

And if ever you would wish to give advice to a fish out of water in

12:22

order to do that

12:29

in a more subtle manner or some such, I would happily take it.

12:34

He is speaking to you very much in the like

12:37

Prison style, where he never makes eye contact.

12:40

He is always scanning the room.

12:43

He is sitting right next to you,

12:44

but he is always, like, adjusting something on his arm or his piece.

12:49

He seems to be very uncomfortable in a,

12:55

not a public space, but in, like, a peaceful space, almost.

12:58

Do I hear your accent?

13:01

For sure.

13:02

For sure you do.

13:02

I look over.

13:03

I look over.

13:05

He is a loud man, he is a very loud man, this Kynin Shanislav.

13:10

I come over to shake your hand.

13:13

I didn't know we have people from same parts.

13:18

Well-traveled is the language of conflict.

13:22

Hello, my friend.

13:22

What is your name?

13:26

I have nothing for you but a Stimsig if you wish to share.

13:28

He pulls from his pocket a very futuristic looking pack

13:34

that very quickly reveals itself to just be a flipped open pack of

13:34

cigarettes he has

13:41

that is very habitually used here but in our day and age would be crazy

13:41

the amount

13:47

of chemicals inside of this cigarette.

13:51

One sec, one sec.

13:55

Do you know where this elevator is going?

13:58

Maybe we shouldn't smoke quite yet.

14:02

If there is an elevator where I cannot smoke, then it best be going to

14:02

hell.

14:06

I do not give shit.

14:13

The thing we should be most... Should we all be vaping?

14:19

Maybe.

14:20

You do what you want.

14:21

He has cigarettes.

14:22

And they are full of chemicals that are bad for the body.

14:25

Um...

14:27

Yeah, I think the one thing he would say is,

14:30

the thing we might want to be most wary of is that one over there.

14:35

And again,

14:36

this sweeping, like,

14:40

not quite making eye contact with anyone for too long,

14:42

this sweeping gaze very briefly lands on the robot in the group that he

14:42

briefly nods

14:48

at and will say, their name is some such as Sochi or Sachi or some such.

14:53

They are of meritorious service, but they...

14:57

I will not lie.

14:58

And then he leans in close to you two a little conspiratorially.

15:02

They showed some quirks.

15:05

He turns her head and just quietly goes, Saiti.

15:12

Saiti is currently standing,

15:15

kind of standoffish in the back corner of the elevator,

15:18

mostly out of artificial habit.

15:21

because this whole being autonomous is new and interesting,

15:28

but also just because she knows that there are social protocols

15:34

that she does not want to interrupt,

15:36

and it's just easiest to pretend like she's equipment and not people

15:36

just yet

15:41

until she's been given some sort of designation or

15:46

...or job to do.

15:46

She's basically just trying to be unobtrusive.

15:50

But she seems jovial.

15:54

She clearly has facial expressions that are complex enough

16:01

that they belie some degree of,

16:05

if not emotional complexity, at least processing complexity.

16:10

So...

16:11

It isn't as weird as some of the machine bots that roam the city with no

16:11

face

16:20

and have cameras and headlamps and stuff like that She is much more

16:20

personable than

16:26

that

16:28

But for the most part, she seems to be standing by herself.

16:31

She's clearly armed.

16:33

The butt of her rifle actually sticks up out of her right shoulder as if

16:33

it's fused

16:40

into her body,

16:41

as opposed to just hanging on the back of her body,

16:45

which is one of those convenient things when you're part Transformer.

16:49

So...

16:53

But, yeah, she doesn't seem to activate any conversation except when

16:53

spoken to.

17:00

So she goes back to kind of,

17:04

you know, her doll-like pleasant smile when the eyes move away from her

17:04

again.

17:26

She points to the 031 on the lapel of her chassis as if it's supposed to

17:26

mean something.

17:38

She points to the 31 and says, Saichi, and then points to the 0 and

17:38

says, Maru.

17:48

As if that explains everything.

17:50

Yep.

17:53

And she says, yeah, and she says, Judith.

17:56

I point to myself, Judith.

17:58

At your service.

18:00

And it comes off more as like a...

18:02

I lift my gun.

18:03

I lift my gun.

18:05

At yours.

18:08

I smile like I've just met a kindred spirit.

18:16

Caspian looks at everyone talking to the robot.

18:21

They're crazy people talking to a toaster and offer Zoey a snack.

18:35

I want to be suspicious just on general principle, but you're not the

18:35

game master.

18:39

Right?

18:41

He's cold.

18:41

How far do we take our food distrust?

18:44

Exactly.

18:50

You have no idea.

18:51

I gave Colba 20.

18:58

I'll take the snack.

19:01

While there's a bit of silence in the elevator,

19:03

a random ad pops up on the side of the wall for the local news.

19:10

And it brings up how Minister Mercer is going to announce

19:15

that there has been some found corruption inside the genetic labs of the

19:15

Halls

19:20

of Continuity.

19:21

And he is going to be bringing this information up on Friday.

19:24

And it is going to be revolutionary for the changes it may do to the

19:24

government.

19:29

And people are talking about, oh, well, what could he possibly say?

19:34

And that is what the news broadcast says in a moment.

19:37

And as the broadcast commentator begins to end, the elevator beeps and

19:37

the doors open.

19:47

I have long suspected there's too much riffraff in the party.

19:54

And all of you are coming off of the elevators at the bottom.

20:00

Kiernan will give a sour look to the mention of Riff Raff.

20:07

But otherwise, I'll just walk through the elevator doors.

20:09

Ah!

20:10

I did that!

20:12

We all walked to our depths.

20:13

Gotcha.

20:16

Why are we all connected?

20:19

Because someone highlighted everyone.

20:23

I didn't think you would actually even start moving your characters

20:23

until we were at that time.

20:28

We're at that time.

20:32

I'm going to be always tactical in the nature of where I am.

20:37

You guys see some couches, and you have your little tickets in your hand

20:37

for who's called next.

20:51

For some reason... Are we still connected to everybody?

20:56

Like, I only see half of the...

21:00

Use your directional pad.

21:04

You right-click and drag.

21:05

It lets you move the map.

21:07

Okay.

21:15

There are two government workers that are taking people up ahead.

21:21

The people that they are calling up first are

21:29

Zoi and Maru.

21:35

Okay.

21:38

I'll report up immediately.

21:41

The lady!

21:42

It's very important that she get her own icon.

21:47

The lady?

21:58

The Government Worker icon, if you would all like to show it, I'm going

21:58

to share.

22:05

Go to Rebooking Artwork and show players.

22:10

This is the Government Worker icon.

22:12

Aye, aye, aye.

22:15

She loves her job.

22:17

It's Border Patrol!

22:20

Nice.

22:21

I was just watching it at dinner, too.

22:26

So...

22:28

You guys are presumably either taking, like, you're not tactical every

22:28

second.

22:33

There's a big cat there.

22:34

You've already been waiting an hour and a half in a lobby.

22:38

You guys probably have a lot of your combat edge worn away by

22:42

the bureaucratic boredom of your hour and a half waiting for your group

22:48

to be called.

22:52

You would say that.

22:54

As probably trying to numb us, inure us to the silliness of the

22:54

bureaucracy, right?

23:03

But I don't know if Judith is necessarily going to be satisfied by that.

23:14

I mean, if that was the case, I wouldn't have brought my gun in a

23:14

situation.

23:20

So, I'd like—I'm sorry?

23:26

Where would you like to go?

23:28

Remember, anywhere that doesn't seem authorized, you could be arrested

23:28

of going.

23:32

I don't plan on moving.

23:35

What I would like to do is get a reintroduction of, like,

23:39

what things is to, like,

23:42

I want to be able to look around and I wasn't sure if that was,

23:47

if that was investigates.

23:50

I don't think it's recon,

23:52

but I just wanted to have a better idea of which thing could I roll to

23:52

be able

23:56

to get an advantage on some idea of what's going on.

24:01

Anything within your general vicinity is investigate.

24:05

Anything beyond that is recon.

24:08

Okay, so then beyond that, I'll roll.

24:11

Yeah.

24:11

And this is difficulty, just average?

24:14

Yeah.

24:21

Am I leaving the difficulty alone?

24:24

Yeah.

24:27

Okay, you had great success.

24:34

The biggest thing that you notice is that there are a lot

24:40

of security cameras up here, even more so than downstairs.

24:47

Okay.

24:52

I will tell you where you came in from that large elevator,

25:00

there are two smaller elevators, if you can see basically on the map.

25:07

Then

25:10

at the left-hand side where you see the edge of those offices is

25:10

actually

25:16

the glass walls of the building.

25:19

That is, you see light streaming from that.

25:26

Okay, so can I tell then from outside, looking outside, how high we

25:26

went?

25:33

Because we were in the elevator for a while.

25:36

Yeah, you went about 20 stairs.

25:39

You're about halfway in the height of the building.

25:42

Okay.

25:46

That's it.

25:49

Okay.

25:51

Would anyone else like to roll or do anything before we

25:55

Move along.

25:58

Do you need anything for me?

26:00

I imagine you're still also having some small talk,

26:03

because most of you have some association here.

26:06

Yeah, I'd be talking to the naval guys.

26:10

Okay.

26:13

Asking how everyone has been.

26:15

I think most of us were officers, so we might have all known each other

26:15

anyway.

26:20

Oh my god, they're talking to each other's navels.

26:22

What do I mean?

26:25

Excellent joke, excellent joke.

26:29

It's Varian, Varian, right?

26:34

Yes.

26:35

Victor says as he points over it, Varian.

26:38

Yeah, I don't think I've seen you in, what,

26:44

three cycles since the mission to,

26:48

and I'll name some planet, you know, four jumps away?

26:53

Krypton.

26:54

Krypton.

26:57

Yes, it looks like it was a long time ago.

27:04

Ron, are you still in or are you out?

27:06

I'm out.

27:08

I'm out.

27:10

There was a traitor in my midst who,

27:14

you know, said the right things at the right time and was not nice.

27:21

I know a little something.

27:24

I mean, I'd

27:25

Didn't want to talk about other people while we were in the service,

27:31

but early on I ended up with a guy kinda like that where he decided to

27:31

throw me

27:38

under the bus on some stuff and he got promoted and I got left as

27:38

enlisted

27:43

for another couple of terms.

27:45

Yeah.

27:47

No.

27:48

Those kind of people have a special place for them.

27:53

Yes, you too.

27:54

What do you think we're doing here?

28:07

Yes, you too. What do you think we're doing here? This room is very

28:07

nice.

28:15

You'll see that Victor's eyes have been scanning this whole time for...

28:20

A coffee machine If there are snacks out Things like that Because Victor

28:28

And anyone who's got An overly discerning eye We'll notice that Victor

28:28

Looks like

28:33

a man who's A bit tired A bit haggard He hasn't It's not like he's

28:33

Missing meals

28:39

And wasting away Because he's starving But he's probably Missed a couple

28:39

of meals In

28:45

the last couple of weeks

28:47

So he's clearly not a man who's flush with cash right now.

28:51

So he's looking for a cup of coffee and he's looking for snacks.

28:57

I don't quite know why we're here.

29:01

I hate coming to these whenever they ask.

29:04

They're going to call us into the room.

29:06

They're going to prick our fingers.

29:07

They're going to take the blood.

29:09

They're going to say, oh, we like you or, oh, we don't like you anymore.

29:13

And then we're gonna go on with our lives and have wasted half a day.

29:17

Try to take your gun.

29:18

Hmm.

29:21

Actually, I didn't bring mine just in case they tried something like

29:21

that.

29:24

It's at home.

29:25

Oh, oh.

29:27

That's a good idea.

29:28

I should have brought.

29:30

I should not have brought mine.

29:32

I don't know.

29:33

I'd like to see them try as I continue to clean mine.

29:42

Those were

29:43

Those who are flippant

29:49

with their lineage will lose it quickly.

29:53

As he says that, those who are flippant with their lineage will lose it

29:53

quickly.

30:06

Oh, buddy, I think we're losing you a little bit.

30:09

Yeah.

30:11

Those who are flippant with their legacy will lose it,

30:14

and then I'm missing everything after that.

30:16

Lose it quickly is what I heard.

30:18

Great.

30:25

Is that Zoya speaking?

30:30

You're...

30:31

He goes back to something that he seemed to do with the close... My

30:31

voice now.

30:43

Okay.

30:47

Whenever I have trouble with people hearing me, I only disconnect and

30:47

reconnect.

30:55

So what did the persuade role to see what's

31:00

going on?

31:03

In what role?

31:06

What would my role if I'm trying to figure out what's going on with the

31:06

paperwork?

31:11

They're intentionally,

31:15

you can't tell if they're doing it just because you're an ape

31:19

or they're just slowing down.

31:23

If you have admin, I think.

31:27

That's right, that probably would have been it.

31:40

And the robot is still up there, right?

31:43

Yep.

31:46

Her telling if there's deception has been none.

31:48

She's like, ah, continuing repetitive things.

31:50

It seems very human.

31:54

I'm doing bureaucracy.

31:59

They gave me a ticket and everything.

32:04

Can I do an admin check to see what's taking so long?

32:09

You're not up there is the problem.

32:12

Is there, like, a guard preventing us from moving up?

32:17

No, but there's already two people with the two workers.

32:20

Ah, okay.

32:26

Do you want to try to, like, get within earshot or something?

32:28

I'm sorry, which two of us got called, uh, up?

32:33

Uh, the two that got called up was, yeah.

32:40

Can I walk up and lean against this wall?

32:43

I forgot how to move.

32:45

You drag your character.

32:48

Okay, one sec.

32:50

I left clicked and it didn't...

32:57

Is it under token control?

33:04

Click them once and then click where you want them to be.

33:11

Right click or normal click?

33:16

Are you on a laptop or using a mouse?

33:19

A mouse.

33:27

Yeah, our drags are working.

33:31

My drag is not.

33:36

You are on the little token control thing?

33:40

Oh yeah,

33:41

you need to look in the upper upper left of your window and make sure

33:41

that

33:45

the little man's is selected.

33:48

Yeah, the meeple.

33:51

So which one?

33:52

The meeple icon.

33:53

The little person.

33:55

And the select tokens icon right next to it, the box of four corners.

34:01

Ah.

34:03

Yeah.

34:04

There we go.

34:05

Hey, we're so smart.

34:10

Okay.

34:12

I make a nod and just lean up against the wall.

34:14

No, don't move all of us!

34:23

By the way, Laura and I figured out how to put your character sheet in

34:23

your hotbar.

34:26

If you care about that, we'll talk about it later.

34:29

You also can just double-click the icon.

34:31

No, you can't.

34:33

I tried.

34:35

Multiple times.

34:38

Okay, well, I can double-click the icon.

34:44

Anyway, you're now leaned up against the thing,

34:49

wondering why they're taking so long and you're listening, right?

34:53

That's what they're doing?

34:54

I love how I'm so good at patience as a robot.

34:57

I'm just smiling at him.

35:00

It takes no muscles.

35:01

Someone has everything selected.

35:02

Josh, you look like you're dragging everybody.

35:08

Okay.

35:09

Where would you like to go Josh?

35:11

No, I'm trying to unselect people.

35:13

So each time I see that there's people, I put it back.

35:16

I'm just trying to figure out how to unselect everyone.

35:19

The easiest way to unselect people is just and everyone gets deselected.

35:25

Just what click?

35:27

Lasso anything else, like just lasso empty space and everyone gets

35:27

deselected.

35:31

Okay.

35:33

So as Varian walks up, you see

35:39

This man that you saw on the news running out of that room, and he is

35:39

running past all of them.

35:46

He's running?

35:47

He's running.

35:49

I would say running in an office urgency, not like for his life.

35:54

Power-wise.

35:55

Yeah, that's about the clarification I needed.

35:57

I'm like, is he like running, running, or he's just like striding with

35:57

purpose?

36:03

And I have a horrible memory.

36:04

What was that video saying, I guess?

36:08

Okay,

36:09

so what the video was saying is that he is the minister in charge of

36:09

genetic affairs

36:14

and that he has basically told the Congress that he has found some

36:14

corruption in

36:19

the genetic affair files and that he is going to reveal this information

36:19

at

36:23

the next Congress, which is on Friday.

36:26

Many people feel it may be that there are people who obviously

36:30

Are getting something they shouldn't, that their genetics maybe aren't

36:30

as good

36:33

As they should be or

36:35

That there's something going wrong with the genetics

36:37

That is

36:38

The foundation of the Soleimani People

36:42

I look at the government workers and see what

36:45

Their reactions are

36:47

They looked nervous

36:53

um

36:54

So now I need every single player to roll gun combat basic.

37:02

Not your unique one.

37:03

Not whatever anything you have.

37:05

We're just rolling gun combat zero.

37:09

And Laura, you're rolling it twice.

37:14

I pulled it up.

37:15

Thank you.

37:16

I'm so grateful.

37:17

There are people nearby, so I'm going to be quiet.

37:22

Okay.

37:25

Oh my gosh, there's a lot of dice.

37:28

Just look at the chat.

37:32

Steinbach, Judith, Alan.

37:40

Okay.

37:41

Only Steinbach, Judith, and Alan.

37:46

Okay?

37:48

You feel your guns have a sense of movement.

37:56

Movement.

37:59

If it's slung over your shoulder, it still had a movement.

38:03

If it was in a holster on your hip, it has some sort of movement.

38:09

There is a self-generated movement coming from your gun.

38:15

I'm definitely holding it down.

38:19

Oh, God, are we all going to shoot him?

38:21

By the way, I want to really go.

38:22

We're not like it's flying across the room.

38:25

It's almost like it was bumped.

38:29

Like it was what?

38:30

Bumped.

38:32

I don't know.

38:33

I can't understand that word.

38:35

B-M-P. Bumped.

38:39

Shifted.

38:40

Yes.

38:42

Shifted

38:43

Yes

38:46

Perturbed

38:49

Kiernan was reciting something, holding a hard copy of maybe a piece of

38:49

paper.

38:56

It's got maybe some,

38:58

like, it's like a wood cylinder with some paper that rolls out of it or

38:58

some such.

39:04

But after that, he cast hands at ready and looks around.

39:09

Then you all hear rounds of gunshots far away.

39:24

I would say since all of you have been at gun ranges,

39:27

it's like you're two rooms away from the gun range.

39:34

Actually,

39:34

real quick,

39:36

Kiernan is going to take his shotgun off of his shoulder and just do a

39:36

quick count

39:40

of how many rounds he has in his shotgun.

39:42

There's one missing, and your gun is hot!

39:46

Great!

39:47

He is immediately gonna look around.

39:54

Have I heard of anything like this happening before?

39:57

No.

39:58

You see the minister pelting by bullets as he falls to the ground being

39:58

shot by eight shots.

40:05

Oh, cool.

40:05

What?

40:08

Don't worry, everyone.

40:10

This is why firing squads have multiple people so you don't know who

40:10

killed him.

40:17

It does not matter.

40:19

We are being framed.

40:21

We must run.

40:22

This is fucked.

40:24

Check your rounds.

40:26

Can I move?

40:28

The government workers, by the way, are screaming and running.

40:30

I just want you all to note that.

40:33

At this point, I think I'm also running.

40:35

I don't know.

40:36

This is supernatural almost.

40:39

What the fuck do you do in that situation?

40:42

When he said check your rounds, everyone heard that?

40:45

Or like, what?

40:47

I yelled check your rounds.

40:49

I yelled check your rounds.

40:50

I didn't do that.

40:53

Is this thing that I moved to cover?

40:57

I want you all to note, though,

40:59

that all these quote-unquote covers are about the width of a cubicle

40:59

wall at

41:05

a standard office.

41:07

He's getting out of here.

41:08

This is not a combat space for Kiernan.

41:16

I can't see this map,

41:18

but that's just his general behavior is one of get out of this building

41:18

as fast

41:22

as I can.

41:23

I'm going to run over and

41:25

I'm going to run over and attempt to stabilize the minister.

41:33

Okay.

41:39

I'm going to provide cover.

41:40

Okay.

41:40

Did you succeed?

41:41

No.

41:41

Can I try?

41:43

Can I try?

41:50

By the way,

41:51

Judith goes over to the minister to try to recover him and pulls out one

41:55

of her organs.

41:58

He pulls out what?

42:00

Organs.

42:03

It's not supposed to be here.

42:06

I need help.

42:08

Do I click the medic button?

42:11

No.

42:12

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

42:16

The medic roll has already been done.

42:19

Another person cannot medic him on first aid.

42:23

So maybe you can explain about not having more than one person rolling

42:23

so people can...

42:30

When people act, the first action is the declaration.

42:33

She has attempted to patch him up, but his chest is basically ground

42:33

beef.

42:40

This right here is the elevator, right?

42:42

That you came in on.

42:43

You were also hearing...

42:45

I'm sorry, go ahead Is this elevator?

42:52

What I guess I would say is that, like,

42:53

I think,

42:54

I don't know if it was clear what he means, but, like,

42:56

numerous people can't make the same roll to do the same action is what

42:56

he means.

43:00

Right.

43:00

Unless it's not it.

43:01

Yeah.

43:01

Once you do a thing, it's done.

43:03

Okay.

43:04

And do these look like possible exits as well?

43:07

Yes.

43:08

You see the government workers run through them as they bio-scan them to

43:08

open

43:13

the doors as they run through and then the doors close behind them.

43:15

Okay.

43:16

So pick up the minister, bio-scan him through the door.

43:21

And run.

43:21

Okay.

43:22

I pick him up?

43:23

What do I roll to pick him up?

43:26

You can just do a pure strength roll.

43:30

Okay.

43:31

Would Recon or Streetwise be a more appropriate roll to figure out how

43:31

to get out

43:37

of here fast that's about getting cut?

43:42

By the way, you easily pick him up, Alan.

43:45

You said what or Streetwise?

43:47

Recon.

43:50

Recon may show you an exit,

43:54

but you're in the middle of a corporate office,

43:56

so I don't know how you want to handle that.

43:59

You are hearing now over the speakers,

44:05

please

44:08

lie on the ground with your guns away from you.

44:12

The Home Guard is going to investigate.

44:17

He doesn't do that.

44:19

Kiernan is going to try to help get us out of here as quickly as

44:19

possible.

44:25

Is this an exit?

44:31

Holy shit.

44:32

Can I ask a question?

44:35

Is it going to be annoying?

44:36

I've been able to set up once before and almost exactly like this.

44:39

No, I'm not hanging around.

44:41

Josh, what was your question?

44:43

Is it going to be annoying story-wise if I'm like a cog in a machine

44:46

and I would obey because I trust my authoritarian society?

44:50

I was thinking the exact same thing because I'm like, I've done nothing

44:50

wrong.

44:54

Why would I run and be guilty if I've done nothing wrong?

44:58

Don't I have faith in the party?

44:59

Why wouldn't I have faith in the party?

45:05

Let me kind of also give a break, okay?

45:12

Everyone who runs, you will automatically be presumed as guilty.

45:16

If you're at a situation where you think they don't care, that's a

45:16

different story.

45:22

But what if we think that we are being set up to fail,

45:27

so it is expected if we do nothing, we will be considered guilty as

45:27

well?

45:35

Because if we felt our guns move, and we know the bullets are ours,

45:35

we...

45:41

That is elementary, like, that is a framing.

45:44

We are being framed for the murder of this minister by having our

45:44

weapons used

45:48

in this plot,

45:49

or at least to obfuscate the actual killer and drive someone on a wild

45:49

goose chase.

45:54

Yeah, that is definitely why Kiernan is running,

45:58

because he actively discovered that in the beginning,

46:00

and his immediate thought is going,

46:03

this is some kind of Esper witchery where I'm being set up.

46:08

For some reason, these other people are being set up.

46:12

And we gotta go.

46:12

And we'll be planning on some action when you guys are done philosophy

46:12

design.

46:16

Whatever.

46:17

That's where I'm at, too.

46:19

That's where I'm at, too.

46:20

Kiernan and Judith are on the same page on that.

46:22

I think.

46:23

Get out.

46:23

He just wants to get out.

46:25

I want to make sure everybody gets a chance to, like, you know, get

46:25

their brain ideas out.

46:29

But if there's somebody else who has something to do, I want to make

46:29

sure I'm giving allowance.

46:36

I wanted to say or do something out loud in character.

46:40

I had already declared that I am covering Judith.

46:47

Do we see now who's firing?

46:49

We're still waiting for Carla's statement.

46:53

I just want to make sure.

46:55

I see that Adrian, wait, Alan's character, picked up the minister,

46:55

right?

47:03

That's physically already done, right?

47:05

Yes.

47:07

Okay, so...

47:10

I am going to say,

47:13

if we pick him up,

47:16

we can use his biometrics to get into his plane

47:20

or some whatever transport thingamajiggy.

47:24

That's my out.

47:26

That's my idea out loud to everybody.

47:28

Mm-hmm.

47:33

Hey, I'm good.

47:35

I'm sorry, can you say that again, Carla?

47:40

The person now carrying said minister because I could not successfully

47:40

keep his innards in.

47:45

I'm telling him we can use his body to use his biometrics to get us out

47:45

of here

47:52

to take his whatever transport above or something like that.

47:59

To get it out, essentially.

48:01

Could someone do a roll to see where the closest hospital is?

48:06

Yeah, I would accept an admin for where the closest hospital is.

48:11

Right, but he's dead, right?

48:13

It's not a matter of we can revive him.

48:15

It's a matter of he's not alive anymore, right?

48:18

Well, I don't know that I can see that from here.

48:20

There's technology, there's robotics, etc.

48:26

Your character may know that, but maybe other people's characters don't.

48:29

You're like, he looks bad, but maybe he could survive.

48:34

Right.

48:34

I would say anyone who doesn't have a medic skill probably thinks

48:39

that they can still resurrect him.

48:41

I want to get him out.

48:43

He's pretty dead.

48:47

Oh, everyone who does have a medic skill thinks he's dead, you're

48:47

saying?

48:50

Yes.

48:51

Everyone who doesn't is like, hey, I've seen crazy shit.

48:53

They've just put a guy in a med vac and he's been dead for two days and

48:53

they bring

48:57

that dude back.

48:58

Well, I try not to get medic, but I do have medic, I think.

49:03

Yeah.

49:04

Here's another point.

49:05

Is he the only person who died?

49:06

Are there multiple people who have been shot or just this minister?

49:11

Only that guy.

49:13

Cool.

49:14

Yeah, I mean,

49:18

Kiernan would definitely have the idea of like,

49:19

oh, if he's got shot by all of us somehow by witchery, then he's

49:19

definitely dead.

49:25

So that's why he's not doing much about it.

49:33

But I think,

49:34

being that I am in my limited agency with my lack of controls,

49:38

he's sticking with Judith.

49:40

She seems to be the one, like,

49:42

Judith and Varian seem the most action-oriented about, like, I don't

49:42

know, stuff.

49:48

Tiernan wants her own.

49:49

He wants her own.

49:51

And I'll say, he's definitively dead.

49:54

Nobody's saving that guy.

49:57

But it's okay.

49:58

Yeah, he's dead.

49:59

What do you call it?

50:00

The security forces are gonna come and everything's gonna be fine.

50:05

All right, we have to run.

50:06

Don't listen to that, man.

50:07

That man knows nothing.

50:09

I make a... Yeah, don't listen to that, man.

50:12

There's been Esper Witchery.

50:14

We've been set up.

50:14

We have to run.

50:15

Now, quick, go.

50:16

I don't know who you are.

50:20

Wait, what do you mean there's been Esper Witchery?

50:23

Paul, Paul.

50:26

Thank you.

50:27

Can I make an electronics roll?

50:29

The dude,

50:29

I know he's dead with my medic,

50:32

to determine whether or not the whole plan of,

50:35

will his biometrics still trigger the machine if he's got no heartbeat?

50:40

You would have to do it on the door, not him.

50:44

Just like a general to know if they work like that.

50:48

It depends.

50:49

Some of them would be free-floating, others are going to be

50:49

free-floating.

50:53

You don't know the lock.

50:54

You know that it could be anything from you throw some blood on it, it's

50:54

going to work.

50:59

Another, it's going to actually test his active bio.

51:03

It's a whole spectrum.

51:05

Gotcha.

51:06

All right, thank you.

51:09

I have computers.

51:11

I have computers.

51:13

Would that justify my thought that it would still work?

51:18

What I'm saying is it is absolutely possible until someone goes,

51:21

takes him to the door, no one can tell a test to see if it works.

51:26

Which door should we go to since I'm carrying him?

51:29

Oh, I thought you said that we would have to go through the door,

51:31

not he would have to go to the door.

51:32

I misunderstood that.

51:33

Okay.

51:35

You are hearing again through the speakers.

51:40

This is Elena Verona, Commissar of Social Solidarity.

51:46

Please do not be alarmed.

51:51

See, it's all gonna be fine.

51:52

They're gonna sort this out.

51:57

That means we should calmly act calm.

52:01

I've rolled initiative, by the way.

52:04

We're gonna now start acting in initiative the way people are gonna be

52:04

moving and acting, okay?

52:10

Where do we roll initiative?

52:12

The very first thing that comes through is there's one home guard guy

52:12

who comes in

52:20

From the bottom.

52:22

He has a handgun, and he has a flak vest kind of thing on.

52:29

The...

52:31

I hunter mark him.

52:33

The second one goes here, and then the next person initiative is Dan,

52:33

which is Josh.

52:43

Where do we see initiative?

52:46

Oh, I found it!

52:47

Wow!

52:51

I don't see it.

52:51

Where is it?

52:53

On the right side, the second one is called Combat Encounters.

52:58

Oh, okay.

53:00

Thank you.

53:03

Josh, what would you like to do?

53:09

I'm going to call the policeman over.

53:11

Come on over.

53:12

He's over here.

53:13

He says, get to the ground.

53:18

I say that as I'm getting to the ground.

53:20

Okay, you get to the crowd.

53:21

Okay.

53:22

Laura, what are you going to do?

53:23

You've got to trust the police, okay?

53:26

Yeah, I mean,

53:27

I know that it's going against,

53:28

but, like, for my character, she didn't do anything wrong.

53:32

And, like, there's already a lot of suspicious activity going on.

53:36

So as SoulSec, like, the thing to do is to blend into the crowd, which

53:36

is to lay on the floor.

53:43

Right.

53:43

All these people came onto the piece to come to the DMV.

53:47

Right.

53:47

It's either blend into the crowd or pull your SoulSec ID.

53:52

Yeah, I can do that then.

53:55

Because, like, let's say you're an FBI agent and there was a shooting,

53:55

you're like, hey.

54:02

So if you want to still stay undercover, you go to the ground.

54:06

If you're like, hey, you know what, this is fishy.

54:08

Let me make sure that I'm part of the cleanup team, not the people get

54:08

picked up.

54:16

So what would you like to do?

54:18

Yeah, I'm thinking real quick.

54:19

Oh, I keep talking into this mic right here because I'm so used to it.

54:22

I have to talk into this one.

54:27

Yeah, I'm just not used to it.

54:31

I think I will just lay on the ground because I don't know what's going

54:31

on.

54:33

And so to maintain my cover, I'm just going to lay on the ground.

54:39

Maru, you're next.

54:42

So I'm on one knee right now because I was in a cover position.

54:48

I do not have a weapon drawn.

54:50

I have my hand on my pistol, but I am going to

54:56

remove my hand from my pistol.

54:58

I'm not going to lay on the ground, but I'm going to sit in a kneeled

54:58

position.

55:04

That's to remind you...

55:06

Weapons are mounts in your body.

55:09

So you're going to recoil back into your hand.

55:12

You don't have to put it on the hand.

55:15

But I mean, like, I'm not touching it, is what I really mean.

55:17

Okay, so you're physically separating it from your body.

55:20

No, I'm just not aiming it at anybody.

55:24

I'm not aiming my body at anyone.

55:28

My body's hard points are disabled, or disengaged.

55:32

My body is a weapon.

55:34

Okay.

55:35

But I'm also not laying on the ground, because that's filthy.

55:38

I will kneel.

55:40

You are giving the impression of submission.

55:43

Yes.

55:45

I sit like a nice little deactivated machine.

55:49

Okay.

55:50

Damien.

55:54

As a note, by the way, you are probably not in their line of sight.

55:59

Okay.

56:08

What would you like to do?

56:11

I want

56:18

to roll my eyes, assume the position, and just be upset.

56:26

So we are now on Judith.

56:27

I maintain

56:35

Capabilities with the rifle,

56:38

I understand that the

56:43

accuracy of the gun will not necessarily be good,

56:48

but I do not let go of my gun.

56:52

But I do try to...

56:59

I do the...

57:00

I'm trying to comply.

57:03

Movement with the understanding that as long

57:06

as I'm making it seem like I'm complying, I should be okay.

57:12

So not like full belly down,

57:16

but just as slow, as slow as I can, making the effort to seem as if I'm

57:16

complying.

57:26

They absolutely believe that you are.

57:28

You even like lay down, even though your hand's still on the damn

57:28

trigger.

57:35

Lays down into a sniper firing position.

57:37

Yes, exactly!

57:39

I'm on the ground!

57:42

They absolutely are fine.

57:47

There's another home guard that comes from the top.

57:52

Then we are on Victor Steinbach.

57:55

What would you like to do?

58:01

So I had actually said before this all went down that I had left my gun

58:01

at home.

58:07

So I think Victor kind of like looks around,

58:10

sees that authorities have arrived,

58:13

guns are drawn, and we all had to give our names to get up here.

58:18

So he just kind of slowly raises his hands, puts them behind his head.

58:25

Okay.

58:33

That being said, he is going to try to at least gauge how far he is from

58:33

the officers coming in.

58:42

In case he's got to make a run,

58:44

he's looking for a hallway or he's looking at charging them if they're

58:44

close enough.

58:50

I will say this,

58:51

because you're kind of in this little niche,

58:53

you can basically go and cover in your submissive.

58:58

Like, I'm going to hide, I'm going to go onto the couch.

59:03

Okay, I'll do that.

59:06

Let me take the cover.

59:09

Okay.

59:13

Poor Minister, he's got a skull on him.

59:16

Yes.

59:17

Okay, Cinnamon.

59:20

Cinnamon?

59:21

Curium?

59:23

Ciernan.

59:24

Okay, so...

59:48

Sorry, bud.

59:50

It's cinnamon.

59:52

Why don't you get Gaelic with it, Patrick?

59:55

He was very, very clear.

59:56

Cinnamon.

59:57

Yeah.

59:58

Sorry, bud.

59:59

Yeah.

1:00:00

Yeah.

1:00:01

It has to be, like, your comment.

1:00:02

combat all right all right yeah okay let's yeah

1:00:05

we need your action.

1:00:11

is absolutely fuming.

1:00:14

I think actively laughs in cynicism, which is his actual name.

1:00:23

I think he'll... What is the name for Psy-enhanced people?

1:00:29

He's been calling them Espers.

1:00:32

Psykers.

1:00:34

Okay.

1:00:34

Okay.

1:00:38

Yeah, he will...

1:00:42

I checked my shotgun for rounds.

1:00:44

That is specifically...

1:00:47

But after that, he would have holstered the gun again.

1:00:49

Like, did it actually take me taking the gun off my shoulder to check

1:00:49

the rounds?

1:00:58

No, basically it's empty because you haven't repumped it.

1:01:01

So that's how you could tell.

1:01:02

Oh, yeah.

1:01:03

Okay, so he hasn't even,

1:01:04

he's never taken his gun off of his shoulder in his,

1:01:07

like, when it comes to witness testimony stuff.

1:01:10

So, with that kind of in mind, he will just big belly laugh, be like...

1:01:19

Where is the psyker, you suka?

1:01:21

Where is he?

1:01:22

Tell me now!

1:01:23

And then he will start to comply, right?

1:01:26

He sees that there's a home guard that's been perched on a fucking

1:01:26

upwards position

1:01:33

on us, and another one comes out the door after this happens.

1:01:35

He's immediately like, this is some kind of psyop.

1:01:38

Where the fuck is the psyker, you bitches?

1:01:42

And he's just egging these guys on as he complies.

1:01:46

But he is being very verbally abusive to these fucking fuckers.

1:02:00

So I'm holding Minister, right?

1:02:03

Yep.

1:02:04

And I just look at the officer in front of me, and I say, uh, man down.

1:02:11

And then I put him down, and then I also get on the ground.

1:02:14

What else do you say?

1:02:21

Man down.

1:02:25

Okay.

1:02:25

Another home guard comes in, and we're on cast.

1:02:33

Cast complies and encourages everyone else to comply, even though

1:02:33

everyone's already complied.

1:02:45

He's like, yeah, yeah, we'll just be calm, everyone.

1:02:50

Just do what they say, and we'll sort this out.

1:02:56

God, wouldn't it be funny if Patrick made the railroads too?

1:03:00

What if we all were supposed to fight our way out?

1:03:03

And now we just go to prison.

1:03:11

Everyone is basically complied.

1:03:13

So from the ground, I'm going to be moving all the other characters.

1:03:20

So the Home Guard basically they do kind of a half circle and from the

1:03:20

top comes

1:03:29

a woman who is dressed in social solidarity

1:03:33

Uniform.

1:03:35

And I will show you what that looks like.

1:03:42

And that's what she looks like.

1:03:52

And she comes over and she says, oh, don't worry.

1:03:58

There was...

1:04:00

We understand that there was an attempted assassination on the minister.

1:04:04

We just need to investigate the area.

1:04:07

It's fine.

1:04:10

I think the assassination was successful.

1:04:12

Assassination, they did a good job.

1:04:16

Did you hire these guys?

1:04:18

He's totally dead.

1:04:20

Something weird's going on, but he's... Not immediately dead.

1:04:23

All the way there.

1:04:24

Here's a cell phone ringing.

1:04:28

Over here, where I make the buzzer.

1:04:32

The home guard,

1:04:33

gun in that direction, and blow up a random worker that was hiding

1:04:33

behind a desk.

1:04:40

Oh, shit!

1:04:41

Wait, uh...

1:04:42

I was wondering about her, like, she didn't... She wasn't running.

1:04:46

Can I hear if we think this is crazy, or is this the sort of thing that

1:04:46

happened to her?

1:04:50

Good job, buddy!

1:04:53

Is this the sort of thing that happens, or are we like, what the fuck?

1:05:01

This jump is unusual,

1:05:04

but I've also sent to you,

1:05:06

to multiple players,

1:05:08

that the idea of this armed of a group of people all randomly being

1:05:08

pulled to

1:05:14

the DMV is ludicrously unusual.

1:05:17

The idea that you all know each other is incredibly unusual.

1:05:22

The idea that one or two

1:05:23

A computer might have a gun?

1:05:25

Yeah, that's a there.

1:05:26

Not like a people that are armed like a Merc squad.

1:05:30

Are we supposed to find this person and have killed it and then, like,

1:05:30

we fucked up?

1:05:35

No.

1:05:36

No.

1:05:37

Okay.

1:05:42

Now, I need... Who had computer?

1:05:49

It was...

1:05:53

I believe I did, too.

1:05:58

A personal computer.

1:06:00

Oh, yeah.

1:06:01

I have a computer.

1:06:02

I have a computer.

1:06:04

I don't remember.

1:06:06

Sorry.

1:06:08

Okay.

1:06:09

Equipment.

1:06:12

Yeah, you bought the wafer jack.

1:06:14

Who else bought the comm?

1:06:15

You said that, Cole, you bought a comm?

1:06:18

Yes.

1:06:20

Okay.

1:06:20

Okay.

1:06:21

Yes, okay,

1:06:22

so I need Kolb and Laura in a separate room for a second,

1:06:29

and I'm going to do this right now.

1:06:30

I have a computer also, just so you should know.

1:06:35

I don't know what matters.

1:06:37

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering, too.

1:06:39

Is it what level?

1:06:41

This woman...

1:06:41

So, I want to be clear.

1:06:42

Stop.

1:06:43

Thank you.

1:06:43

Only...

1:06:51

Kolb and Laura have computers that are on their physical body,

1:06:57

either in their head or on their arm.

1:07:00

Oh!

1:07:01

Missed that.

1:07:01

Physical computers attached to them.

1:07:05

Yes.

1:07:06

That is why they get a chance to do this.

1:07:09

Okay.

1:07:10

Okay, we'll see you in a second.

1:07:14

And Kolb.

1:07:18

Okay.

1:07:21

Um, and me.

1:07:24

Where are me?

1:07:25

Here's me.

1:07:34

They've been stolen.

1:07:36

How is my audio doing?

1:07:42

Oh, that's not a good sign.

1:07:45

No, you sound very crisp.

1:07:48

Oh, thank you very much.

1:07:49

Thank you.

1:07:53

No, a big ol' thunderstorm came out of nowhere and drove me back inside.

1:07:58

And last time I went inside, it was super bad connectivity in this

1:07:58

cabin.

1:08:10

Hey, John.

1:08:10

How you doing?

1:08:12

Hey, John.

1:08:14

Driving at the moment.

1:08:15

So, how are you guys?

1:08:19

I'm doing okay.

1:08:19

About to be unnoticed.

1:08:21

We're getting arrested.

1:08:24

But as good members of the Reich, I mean, I think everything is going to

1:08:24

work out.

1:08:28

The police are there to help us.

1:08:30

You know, because Nazis are never wrong.

1:08:37

Ever.

1:08:38

I love how much effort was put into Patrick trying to scaffold that we

1:08:38

are not Nazis

1:08:46

and there have been multiple Nazi jokes yet so far tonight.

1:08:51

Yes, we're not Nazis.

1:08:53

We're more like... No, we're more like Russia.

1:08:59

Like post-First World War Russia.

1:09:03

I think the term that tried to be marketed was British,

1:09:08

but so far... Yeah, like the idea is we're not genocidal in our region.

1:09:16

...as

1:09:21

I counted two.

1:09:23

The minister and the one lady.

1:09:40

I counted two. The minister and the one lady.

1:09:48

You mean, the minister and

1:09:49

The Witness, yeah.

1:09:50

Yeah.

1:09:51

I do not know.

1:10:20

So

1:10:27

you're seeing the Commissar basically walk around,

1:10:29

and she's kind of just,

1:10:31

everyone calm down,

1:10:31

it's not going to be an issue,

1:10:32

we're going to get to the bottom of this,

1:10:35

and Emma Colbert,

1:10:36

Laura's character, shoots a home guard without him noticing in the face.

1:10:45

because he definitely didn't think you were going to pull a gun right

1:10:45

then

1:10:48

and shoot him.

1:11:10

Okay, so the bullet shatters his front helmet and he's knocked back but

1:11:10

he's not dead.

1:11:19

and

1:11:21

and everyone probably we're now in an open gunfire this is

1:11:24

the classic old west moment one guy started shooting now everybody's

1:11:24

shooting I'm

1:11:30

gonna be honest this feels like the sort of I mean I want

1:11:34

to say two things one I kind of want I know so I just want

1:11:40

to ask Josh are you are you saying something out of character I was

1:11:40

trying

1:11:44

to yeah good I was gonna say okay okay

1:11:48

But it's okay.

1:11:49

Go ahead.

1:11:49

The other person is speaking.

1:11:52

Well, people should be acting.

1:11:55

Yeah, but shouldn't we have initiative?

1:11:57

We're back at the top.

1:11:59

The home guard are armed, so they're not going to act in this turn.

1:12:02

And we're on Josh as the first actor.

1:12:07

So I see Laura's character just shoot a police officer?

1:12:11

Yes.

1:12:13

I'm not like a soldier soldier.

1:12:15

I think I'd be like, what the hell?

1:12:18

I don't think I would... What am I going to level my gun at her and

1:12:18

shoot her?

1:12:22

I think I'm shocked.

1:12:24

I think I'm going to... Can I hold my turn until the end of the round?

1:12:27

Is that a thing?

1:12:32

I'd rather you choose not to act, because there's just too many people

1:12:32

to...

1:12:36

I'm like, what the hell?

1:12:39

Maru, what are you going to do?

1:12:42

Draw and fire.

1:12:44

Are you going to attempt to finish the one that she shot or shoot

1:12:44

another one?

1:12:50

Which is... She shot this one up here.

1:12:56

Oh, right behind me.

1:13:03

Yeah, yeah, let's close the deal.

1:13:06

Can I ask an out of character question?

1:13:08

Well, maybe it's just that one that's bad.

1:13:11

I haven't gotten all the pieces of information yet.

1:13:15

I'm just going along with the humans that I am most associated with at

1:13:15

the moment.

1:13:20

What is your question?

1:13:21

So unless our character specifically is friends with Laura,

1:13:26

would we have any reason to believe that this isn't fucking crazy?

1:13:29

Like she's shooting at a law enforcement agent?

1:13:32

No, but

1:13:34

The fact that there's any shooting,

1:13:35

I would have danger for my life and shoot back because they're going to

1:13:35

take you all

1:13:39

as a group.

1:13:41

I have the most affiliation.

1:13:43

Okay, so people in the society would at this point in time be like,

1:13:45

if we don't shoot at the police, we're all going to get fucked.

1:13:48

Okay, that's helpful.

1:13:49

Well, I think that's a normal scenario.

1:13:54

Most of you have a conclusion that you were brought up here in an odd

1:13:54

sort

1:13:58

that you all know someone here.

1:14:01

And you might have had the, hey,

1:14:03

you know,

1:14:03

the police are going to be fine,

1:14:05

but now that there is gunfire,

1:14:07

you imagine you're going to be in the collateral damage.

1:14:11

I explained my motive.

1:14:13

Yes.

1:14:14

I'm just trying to clarify with Josh.

1:14:16

Josh, before we get to the next roll, are you going to shoot them?

1:14:23

Sure.

1:14:23

I guess if that's the concept,

1:14:25

I mean, I don't think otherwise I wouldn't have, but sure, I'll shoot

1:14:25

them.

1:14:30

I think I would agree I would shoot the same person.

1:14:32

I don't know.

1:14:33

No, you said it's everybody.

1:14:34

So I'll shoot the other person, sure.

1:14:36

Not that I'm a super runner and gunner.

1:14:38

Okay, so right next to you is either the commissar or that home guard

1:14:38

near the bottom.

1:14:44

The commissar would be considered equivalent to the home guard.

1:14:49

The commissar is like secret police.

1:14:54

No, I mean equivalent as in like this person needs to die.

1:14:57

A hierarchical?

1:14:58

She's higher up.

1:14:59

She would be the commander of the group.

1:15:04

Okay, sure.

1:15:04

Let me shoot the person who doesn't have equipment on her.

1:15:10

Or don't.

1:15:11

I mean, if you're... She has info.

1:15:15

She said everything's gonna be fine and then got interrupted.

1:15:21

It's up to you, though.

1:15:22

You shoot a spray bullet through her chest.

1:15:27

It is primarily blocked by her ballistic armor, but some damage does get

1:15:27

through.

1:15:32

Okay, now, Maru,

1:15:34

you're going to presumably shoot your biggest gun at the guy

1:15:37

that had already been wounded, right?

1:15:38

That was the plan, yes.

1:15:39

Okay, let's get your biggest gun.

1:15:42

Can I just click red attack?

1:15:46

Yes, you can click red attack on the cartridge laser rifle.

1:15:49

Okay.

1:15:55

That is likely a character.

1:15:56

Yes.

1:15:59

It says, yeah, eight hit, but I didn't add any difficulty to the roll.

1:16:05

It automatically does it.

1:16:06

Okay.

1:16:08

Okay.

1:16:10

You put a hole through that dude and he is bleeding to death.

1:16:14

I'm helping.

1:16:15

He is unconscious.

1:16:18

And his armor is basically a burning hole,

1:16:24

and he has dropped his weapon if anyone needs a weapon.

1:16:32

Can I use my scary robot voice to go, Cease hostilities.

1:16:36

Yes.

1:16:37

His hostilities have been seized.

1:16:41

And we are going to mark him as defeated.

1:16:44

Oh, you marked all the home guards.

1:16:47

The gun ricochets

1:16:54

and kills everyone.

1:16:59

I am going to exit combat.

1:17:03

There we go.

1:17:04

That guy's been exited out of combat.

1:17:06

Okay.

1:17:07

Now, the next person is Zoi.

1:17:12

You can only see the Commissar.

1:17:18

All right, I am going to...

1:17:22

These plants here in front of me?

1:17:23

Mm-hmm.

1:17:25

How much cover does that provide?

1:17:28

It's a six.

1:17:30

Okay, I'll move up that for cover, and then can I still shoot after

1:17:30

that?

1:17:36

Yeah, that's close enough.

1:17:37

All right, do I see any new people to shoot at?

1:17:41

You could shoot the home guard at the bottom now.

1:17:43

All right, I will shoot.

1:17:46

You're obviously not going to...

1:17:47

Put bullets through all your allies.

1:17:50

Right.

1:17:52

It's the guy on the right, not the guy on the left.

1:17:54

Right.

1:17:57

Okay, I will shoot at that one.

1:18:00

Okay.

1:18:05

And for some reason it did... Oh, I know why.

1:18:12

Your thing had a d6 nut egg.

1:18:18

Okay.

1:18:22

And this home guard takes that damage.

1:18:27

Wow.

1:18:29

One shot.

1:18:30

He doesn't die, but it blasts him so strongly he's instantly

1:18:30

unconscious.

1:18:36

Wow.

1:18:38

He's not, though.

1:18:39

Look out.

1:18:41

So that guy is also out of combat.

1:18:44

While we're talking about combat, how does this full auto burst fire

1:18:44

work?

1:18:48

Burst fire work.

1:18:49

I didn't hear any of those words.

1:18:52

I talked about combat.

1:18:53

How do these burst fire full auto modes work?

1:18:57

Okay, so let me open up your thing.

1:19:02

So when you're doing burst, you have a better chance to hit.

1:19:09

You're plus three basically on the hit.

1:19:10

You're doing a spray.

1:19:13

If you do full auto, you do one attack three times and just lose a ton

1:19:13

of ammo.

1:19:19

Oh, okay.

1:19:22

Not what I'd be doing right now, but okay.

1:19:27

Okay.

1:19:28

After Zoe is Judith.

1:19:32

I am already primed fucking ready to use my gun.

1:19:36

And so I'm just deciding whether or not I am able to see Emma.

1:19:43

And have known that it was Emma?

1:19:45

Yes.

1:19:46

She's right.

1:19:47

You absolutely know.

1:19:49

Because the gunshot was right next to you.

1:19:51

She shot with a normal kind of hand.

1:19:55

Now, she's a contact of mine.

1:19:59

Yeah.

1:20:03

Laura, also, maybe you could help understand or help me understand.

1:20:09

Would we have

1:20:11

She's been in some form of nonverbal communication capabilities.

1:20:18

I don't know.

1:20:27

I think I know that she's got access to intelligence, investigation, and

1:20:27

political intrigue.

1:20:34

So for me to see that she's shooting the lower levels and not the higher

1:20:34

level,

1:20:41

That maybe there's some form of like pointing or I don't know

1:20:49

if you think you feel like that would be something that we have capable

1:20:49

otherwise

1:20:54

if you're not feeling that vibe at this point then I will move

1:20:54

differently.

1:21:02

Because you have a strategic character and mindset

1:21:08

She just took out the guy who was the closest to her.

1:21:11

The guy who was the closest threat.

1:21:13

It wasn't anything like hierarchy.

1:21:18

It was just like, that's the guy who's going to get me first.

1:21:22

Okay.

1:21:23

Now, having that kind of somewhat nonverbal understanding...

1:21:30

I want to know if I have visuals um no I don't have Elena in in my

1:21:30

visuals where I'm

1:21:38

at then I don't think I have capabilities being that far down other than

1:21:44

the possible other home guard that's on the left but I don't know which

1:21:44

ones are out

1:21:48

of the two on the left have not been shot at the bottom okay so then in

1:21:48

that case

1:21:54

the one that's highlighted the very far left I'm gonna shoot

1:22:02

In the head, it's going to be a headshot, so he's going to be knocked

1:22:02

out, like, gone.

1:22:06

That's my aim.

1:22:08

And so I can do that roll.

1:22:12

I just want to make sure that that's what I'm trying to do, essentially.

1:22:16

Okay, so I just want to ask,

1:22:19

are you doing the headshot for clarity,

1:22:22

or are you taking the massive penalty to actually aim it on his head?

1:22:28

I'm attempting to aim it on his head,

1:22:30

and if it incurs a penalty, but my goal is just headshot, like no...

1:22:35

The DM is a minus three.

1:22:39

So when you click attack on the DM, do minus three.

1:22:47

Why is it... What am I...

1:22:49

I did equipment.

1:22:51

No.

1:22:51

Left-down side of your sheet, there's an attacks button that has a

1:22:51

picture of your gun.

1:22:57

And you click Attack.

1:22:59

DM.

1:23:00

And you want to do minus three.

1:23:02

Okay, perfect.

1:23:03

Okay, so minus three.

1:23:07

You still land perfectly.

1:23:09

Okay, so his

1:23:14

armor is not going to count.

1:23:20

So at 17, how much damage does he...

1:23:24

He is...

1:23:28

Unconscious and he's wounded, because that's higher than he can actually

1:23:28

hold.

1:23:34

So he's out.

1:23:40

I would say, though,

1:23:41

that the armor and the uniform is basically untouched if you guys want

1:23:41

to try

1:23:45

to pull it out and dress as that to sneak out kind of thing.

1:23:51

As a heads-up since, you know, I mean, it was my kill.

1:23:54

I absolutely am not equipped with anything.

1:23:57

I will be wanting to leave that.

1:24:12

Victor?

1:24:13

I'm trying to figure out what, like... All chat should be in main chat.

1:24:22

Yeah.

1:24:24

Okay.

1:24:27

So, next person in the list is...

1:24:36

Victor.

1:24:39

So, in the...

1:24:42

I'm seeing five guards, one of them has the orange circle around them.

1:24:47

Yeah.

1:24:49

Is it possible to identify which ones have been shot and gone down?

1:24:54

The problem is it's highlighting all of them.

1:24:56

So, actually, I'll put a box.

1:24:58

I can do a drawing.

1:25:00

Okay.

1:25:01

We're going to do a draw.

1:25:06

No.

1:25:07

Undo.

1:25:09

Undo.

1:25:11

Let's do this.

1:25:14

This guy's up.

1:25:16

This guy's up.

1:25:19

She's partially wounded, everyone else is down.

1:25:22

Okay.

1:25:23

Well, given proximity,

1:25:27

I think Victor is going to scramble to his feet,

1:25:31

take the cup of coffee that he had hopefully found and had it sipped on,

1:25:36

chuck it at the home guard that's still up,

1:25:41

just as, like, the distractionary, like, throw in the direction, and

1:25:41

then...

1:25:48

Turn and tackle Elena behind him, since that's actually the one that's

1:25:48

closest to him.

1:25:54

Okay.

1:25:55

If that's too many actions, I will not throw the coffee.

1:25:57

We'll just do it as kind of a flavor piece.

1:26:02

I'd like you to roll

1:26:09

melee, but I want you to do it at a plus one DM.

1:26:16

Okay.

1:26:19

DM plus one.

1:26:24

Thanks.

1:26:26

Yeah, you knock her flat on her ass, and you're basically punching her.

1:26:31

And you're basically on her, knocking her back.

1:26:38

You see her earpiece fall out as you're punching her, and you're hearing

1:26:38

just static through it.

1:26:45

That's like...

1:26:48

Okay.

1:26:50

And I'm gonna move you on her.

1:26:54

Okay, next person is... Kernan.

1:27:01

Cool.

1:27:02

Audio check.

1:27:03

Audio check.

1:27:04

Who can hear my voice?

1:27:06

Yes.

1:27:08

When was the last time I spoke?

1:27:09

I can.

1:27:09

I can.

1:27:10

I can hear your voice.

1:27:13

A while ago?

1:27:15

What is a while ago?

1:27:32

The one who's getting punched, if I am drawing clues from the pronouns

1:27:32

it's

1:27:40

the commissar.

1:27:41

The woman.

1:27:42

The one that said everything is going to be fine. Do I have enough

1:27:42

movement?

1:27:49

An action economy to run up to the woman who is being punched.

1:27:56

She's been brought to the ground.

1:27:59

Yeah, she is being tackled by Victor.

1:28:02

Essentially, you can jump over a couch to get to the two of them.

1:28:06

He's going to set.

1:28:09

He's swinging his shotgun off of the shoulder.

1:28:12

He's going to get over...

1:28:16

Mechanic, okay?

1:28:18

If someone is in a melee, they cannot be shot, but you can use your

1:28:18

shotgun as a club.

1:28:29

That sucks.

1:28:31

He sets his shotgun.

1:28:37

Are there any other open targets other than the Commissar?

1:28:40

There's a home guard that you can shoot with a shotgun.

1:28:46

Okay.

1:28:50

He's going to keep the shotgun at lethal then,

1:28:55

wheel the shotgun at him,

1:28:58

and scream, keep the commissar alive, and then try and kill the home

1:28:58

guard.

1:29:06

19.

1:29:06

19 with the vest.

1:29:08

Is that enough?

1:29:16

Yeah, you blew away his flak jacket,

1:29:21

he's not completely unconscious, and his gun is also on the ground.

1:29:26

Yeah, he screams at this stranger.

1:29:29

I don't think there's any connection between me and Victor.

1:29:31

He screams at this stranger, get the fuck off of her!

1:29:36

Get the fuck off of her and let me at her!

1:29:38

And, yeah, keep her alive.

1:29:43

Cass is the...

1:29:46

is the last one.

1:29:49

Oh, what about me?

1:29:52

Oh, Varen, sorry.

1:29:56

Varen, you can kill the home guard that is also up within your line of

1:29:56

sight,

1:30:01

because all there is between you and him is the dead minister.

1:30:05

Okay, I'll shoot him.

1:30:07

Okay.

1:30:08

I'll do it.

1:30:10

Oh, whatever.

1:30:10

Whatever I would do to take cover, I will.

1:30:14

He is not down.

1:30:18

Wait, did I roll or

1:30:19

did you roll?

1:30:21

Can I roll for me?

1:30:26

Or that's fine.

1:30:27

Yeah, just give me a minute.

1:30:29

Let's reset.

1:30:43

You missed.

1:30:53

I need to do a roll because you were shooting a shotgun across a lot of

1:30:53

other players.

1:30:59

Oh, I thought you said it's because it was only the dead.

1:31:01

Yeah, but you missed.

1:31:04

Oh, shit.

1:31:07

If you hit, it wouldn't have been an issue, but it was a full miss.

1:31:10

Good thing I'm low to the ground.

1:31:13

Yeah, actually, everyone's on the ground.

1:31:14

You're fine.

1:31:15

Everyone's shooting from the ground up.

1:31:16

You're fine.

1:31:19

Or behind him.

1:31:20

Yeah, you're right.

1:31:22

That's completely fine.

1:31:23

Okay.

1:31:25

Now we're on.

1:31:38

Are you going after the home guard that's south of you?

1:31:42

Yeah, Cass is going to start firing at that buddy boy here.

1:31:47

Okay.

1:31:49

Would you like to roll it, or would you like me to roll it?

1:31:51

...

1:31:52

...

1:31:58

Okay.

1:31:59

Nice.

1:31:59

It is not going to be enough, I think, to pierce.

1:32:05

He took some, like, he gets scarred, but it doesn't even take out his

1:32:05

endurance.

1:32:11

Okay.

1:32:14

And your surprise from Emma shooting at his now over,

1:32:21

but that surprise took out two-thirds of them.

1:32:26

Uh, so we are back on, uh, Dan.

1:32:30

Is there any chance that we could, like,

1:32:34

re-roll or have a reset of initiative based off of the fact

1:32:38

that there has been activity and, like, um,

1:32:42

Mechanics is once a scene.

1:32:50

Ironically, generally I like to go first, but I don't know if I'm going

1:32:50

first here.

1:32:53

So where is the...

1:32:58

So this home guard right here is still up, right?

1:33:00

Nope.

1:33:02

Yes.

1:33:04

Two circles at the bottom.

1:33:08

This one over here.

1:33:09

No.

1:33:11

Okay.

1:33:18

So, can I hit them from where I am currently?

1:33:21

Are you going to roll?

1:33:24

Yeah, I guess.

1:33:25

Yeah, I'll roll.

1:33:30

What do I shotgun, anyway?

1:33:35

It barely skips him

1:33:41

Yep, I'm not a shooting guy. What can you do? Thanks

1:33:44

Okay.

1:33:46

Then we're on Emma.

1:33:53

Okay.

1:33:56

Okay, this guy that's got the hex on it, he's down, right?

1:34:00

Yep.

1:34:00

I just want to confirm.

1:34:02

Yeah, okay.

1:34:03

But this guy here is still up.

1:34:07

Yes, he's the one that had the shotgun missed shot.

1:34:10

Okay.

1:34:12

I'm going to verbally say to the people around me,

1:34:14

they want to kill us all, and then I'm going to shoot that guy.

1:34:20

Keenan says, I'm so smart!

1:34:22

Are you clicking your

1:34:29

shot?

1:34:30

Am I rolling it?

1:34:32

Are you clicking your shot?

1:34:34

I was trying to ask you of that.

1:34:36

I can do that.

1:34:37

Okay, wait.

1:34:39

How do I do that?

1:34:40

How do I do that?

1:34:41

Your character sheet on the left-hand side, there's a button that says

1:34:41

Attack.

1:34:45

On the left-hand side, that says Attack.

1:34:47

Does it get to Skills?

1:34:50

No.

1:34:50

Or Equipment, sorry.

1:34:53

It's not in Equipment.

1:34:55

Oh, I'm sorry.

1:34:56

Right below your picture, there's Damage, then Armor, and then Attacks.

1:35:00

Okay.

1:35:04

14.

1:35:05

14.

1:35:13

He is moaning.

1:35:15

He has two Endurance left.

1:35:18

He's having a bad day.

1:35:20

You really like the pain, you mean.

1:35:22

Yeah, so he is basically down.

1:35:24

He is pretending to be down.

1:35:27

Bad time.

1:35:29

We're now on Maru.

1:35:30

Maru, you could wipe basically anyone with your laser cannon.

1:35:34

Yeah, how about this guy right here?

1:35:36

Yeah, you easily can move over and just shoot him.

1:35:42

Yeah, is he hurt?

1:35:43

He looks not hurt?

1:35:45

No, that guy is dead.

1:35:47

This guy next to him has one or two more hits.

1:35:50

Okay, well, let's shoot him then.

1:35:52

Great.

1:35:53

Okay.

1:35:55

All right.

1:35:56

Open character sheet.

1:35:58

Laser pistol, or no, cartridge laser rifle attack.

1:36:05

Fire!

1:36:08

Damage 19.

1:36:09

Okay, that's dead.

1:36:13

It is a big gun Cut Edit

1:36:19

Skill None

1:36:27

Give me

1:36:27

a second Kolb's weapon doesn't have Kolb,

1:36:32

how many It should be one plus one for laser Okay,

1:36:38

I'm just going to add one to the attack DM for now

1:36:41

Because the skill isn't appearing there.

1:36:43

So it's just going to do the roll normally, but it's not going to show

1:36:43

that.

1:36:48

Gabby can?

1:36:49

Okay.

1:36:51

Okay.

1:36:52

Everyone is basically dead or unconscious,

1:36:56

except the Commissar, who you now have basically under your control.

1:37:02

The lights are switching to now a red and white strobe.

1:37:13

Victor has her basically grappled as she is somewhat bruised and

1:37:13

wounded.

1:37:21

Anyone who needs a simple handgun can pick up a few simple handguns.

1:37:27

I've already laid claim to the home guard outfit that I shot in the

1:37:27

head.

1:37:37

Is this language that sounds like out-of-initiative kind of language?

1:37:41

Yes, we are out-of-initiative.

1:37:43

Okay.

1:37:44

Kiernan casually walks up to Victor wrestling with the Commissar, and

1:37:44

will kind of load...

1:37:53

I forget,

1:37:55

is it like a genuine, like a preset, like the shotgun changes?

1:37:58

Can I walk up with you?

1:38:01

Pull it.

1:38:02

The bullet, okay,

1:38:04

he loads,

1:38:05

there are like two bandoliers, and so he takes from one bandolier, loads

1:38:05

a shell.

1:38:10

You can obviously walk with him,

1:38:12

but he just casually walks up and just racks one of these other rounds

1:38:12

into

1:38:17

the shotgun and says to Victor, get off, get off, get off, give me a

1:38:17

flight.

1:38:24

Okay, I'll say, so can someone maybe hack those cameras and, you know,

1:38:24

erase this footage?

1:38:31

Blam!

1:38:31

He shoots the Commissar in the face with stun rounds to knock her out.

1:38:39

We can speak to her later!

1:38:40

She's unconscious.

1:38:42

Oh, where are you?

1:38:45

So, I just wanted everyone to be cool.

1:38:50

The Shotgun has a stun round.

1:38:54

Okay.

1:38:55

Yes, there are two bandoliers, and so he is loaded from one.

1:38:59

It is startling as shit.

1:39:01

He warns no one, but he renders her unconscious with a stun round.

1:39:09

And when everyone goes, oh, what the fuck?

1:39:12

He's like, what, what?

1:39:14

Peter, Colb, what would you like to do?

1:39:18

I was just going to say that we need to take her hostage and have her

1:39:18

show us

1:39:22

the back way out of here.

1:39:26

I guess not now.

1:39:28

What do you mean?

1:39:29

She's perfectly carryable.

1:39:31

Let us take her.

1:39:34

We can't talk to her, though.

1:39:40

Victor picks up her radio and puts it in his ear.

1:39:43

Before I clarify anything, Steinbeck will be the next speaker.

1:39:46

I just need to know who is going to be picking up anything from these

1:39:46

home guard

1:39:49

before I remove them from the board.

1:39:53

Kiernan would like to, but I know I've been doing stuff.

1:39:55

I've been busy, so.

1:39:56

But that's what Keenan would also like to do.

1:40:00

Castle check one for like a pass or a key card or, you know, a way to

1:40:00

unlock or override doors.

1:40:08

Are all of them wearing intact armor or are they all like shot?

1:40:12

There was only one intact armor because Carla took the effort to do a

1:40:12

aim.

1:40:18

Okay.

1:40:18

Everyone else's armor has blasts in it.

1:40:22

Okay.

1:40:22

Okay.

1:40:24

And the Commissar has armor.

1:40:27

She never took a shot.

1:40:29

So she has armor.

1:40:31

Okay.

1:40:33

But I guess my biggest thing is, I know Steinbach has no weapons and no

1:40:33

armor.

1:40:40

Right.

1:40:41

So, absolutely,

1:40:42

Victor is going to,

1:40:43

now that he's been knocked unconscious on top of him, he's going to

1:40:43

stand up, go...

1:40:48

Okay, you have her gun, are you taking her vest?

1:40:50

Um...

1:41:16

I think that might take too long,

1:41:19

so I'm just grabbing the pistol and maybe a clip off her belt,

1:41:23

but the vest I think is going to take too long if this is truly

1:41:26

an emergency situation.

1:41:28

Anyone else want to pick up a slug gun?

1:41:30

I've already given Carla both the things that she wanted off the

1:41:30

character.

1:41:35

I'll pick up a slug gun, yeah.

1:41:37

I'll strip the two characters in case we need an outfit to get out of

1:41:37

the building.

1:41:41

So, no other outfit is present ready except the one that Carla did

1:41:41

because she took

1:41:48

the penalty to aim.

1:41:50

Oh, yeah.

1:41:51

So, yeah, it was the commissar and that person.

1:41:54

Those are two, right?

1:41:55

Right.

1:41:55

So, are you going to strip the commissar?

1:41:57

So, just the other person, then.

1:41:58

Sure.

1:41:59

Because we're going to bring her with us.

1:42:00

Sure.

1:42:01

Okay.

1:42:01

So, home guard is stripped.

1:42:04

Carla, are you putting it on or are you just putting it, holding it?

1:42:10

I was just about to type because there was so much going on.

1:42:15

I would like to get an idea based off of my real world understanding

1:42:15

whether

1:42:24

or not this is going to be something that I can wear outright over my

1:42:24

existing cloth

1:42:32

because I am well equipped with my piece.

1:42:38

I am not well equipped with my

1:42:40

Person, so I'd prefer to have some kind of protection,

1:42:44

but if that's not possible,

1:42:46

I'd rather find that out visually than let go of my gun trying to get

1:42:46

this

1:42:52

on awkwardly.

1:42:54

So is that something I could do with my character?

1:42:56

You could put it on as a disguise,

1:42:59

but it's not going to give you the armor bonus if you're wearing cloth

1:42:59

underneath.

1:43:03

Okay.

1:43:05

I just then have the capability of

1:43:09

Having it flopped around and holding it, right?

1:43:12

Yeah.

1:43:14

Okay.

1:43:14

So then I choose to carry it.

1:43:18

I choose to investigate to see if there are any cards that are

1:43:18

accessible, easily usable.

1:43:25

But for the most part, it's a nice to have.

1:43:29

I've recognized that I am in a combative situation.

1:43:34

We're going to have to leave.

1:43:36

I may not be the person using it, but it is a

1:43:39

Helpful item.

1:43:41

So, as people are looking for things beyond just weapons and armor on

1:43:41

them,

1:43:46

they all have general phones and earpieces.

1:43:49

They do not have access cards.

1:43:51

They do not have anything other than basically communication,

1:43:56

black vests, helmets, and their basic liberator handguns.

1:44:03

Even the government worker who was killed...

1:44:07

The one that's over there on the side.

1:44:09

It has a phone, it has some cash,

1:44:13

and I would say that she has like a little video game system.

1:44:21

I'd take all of it if nobody else wants it.

1:44:24

I would like to search the minister's body.

1:44:27

Okay.

1:44:28

When you search the minister's body, he has a...

1:44:34

Kindle size pad that is locked with a password.

1:44:40

He has a cell phone.

1:44:44

And he was wearing concealed armor, but the barrage of shots just blew

1:44:44

through it.

1:44:56

Now, Victor, since you were also...

1:45:01

Touching Alina, she has some type of computerized belt.

1:45:10

Alright,

1:45:12

is there a quick,

1:45:14

I can hopefully identify,

1:45:15

like, oh, I recognize this is a piece of tech, or is this something

1:45:15

unusual?

1:45:24

I'd be happy to hear what role you, I would let you do an electronics

1:45:24

role.

1:45:30

Okay, electronic roll.

1:45:31

I just...

1:45:32

If this is a common piece of...

1:45:35

It is uncommon.

1:45:36

Okay.

1:45:38

Cool.

1:45:38

Then I will roll computers?

1:45:43

Yep.

1:45:43

Or just electronic computers.

1:45:46

But that's a great roll.

1:45:48

It's a grav belt with one use.

1:45:52

Oh.

1:45:54

I'm definitely grabbing that.

1:45:56

Okay.

1:45:58

I'm glad to see you started out the game with good rolls.

1:46:01

Yeah.

1:46:02

Don't jinx him.

1:46:08

Does one of them have a gun laying around that I can, like a pistol?

1:46:13

Yes, you have to pick up one of the pistols.

1:46:16

Let me just slide one onto your character.

1:46:18

And ammo, if they have it.

1:46:23

Okay.

1:46:24

Just for clarity, if someone does need to speak, just type in the chat

1:46:24

and I will get to you.

1:46:30

If they feel that they are being talked about.

1:46:36

I'm going to try to find a home guard we haven't looted yet.

1:46:43

I will get you a gun soon.

1:46:44

For some reason, it is wipe them off.

1:46:48

Okay.

1:46:51

What are you guys going to do?

1:46:53

Alina is unconscious.

1:46:55

You guys could ask Emma, hey, why'd you start shooting?

1:46:57

She said, hey, they're all going to kill us.

1:47:03

Emma, why did you start shooting?

1:47:08

Wait, you know?

1:47:10

Well, maybe I don't know that you know.

1:47:12

I terribly failed my computers.

1:47:14

Oh, that's right.

1:47:15

You did fail.

1:47:16

I'm so sorry.

1:47:16

I'm going to remind everybody that there's tons of cameras around since

1:47:16

I was able

1:47:23

to do that just out of character.

1:47:25

I rolled and did some investigation or whatever.

1:47:28

And so I was like,

1:47:30

You probably won't want to get too much information away, let's get the

1:47:30

fuck out of here first.

1:47:45

Who has a way off the planet?

1:47:47

How did we get on the planet, On and Off?

1:47:51

Can I say something out of character?

1:47:52

Did anyone hear me before where I asked if anybody has a way to hack the

1:47:52

cameras

1:47:56

and remove the images of us attacking government people?

1:48:01

I did hear it.

1:48:02

What kind of role would that be?

1:48:05

Computers, probably.

1:48:07

I have electronics and I have a plus one in computers.

1:48:11

You would need to also find some type of access to the security cameras.

1:48:18

They're not Wi-Fi.

1:48:20

But that was an added character comment?

1:48:23

Or was that an in-character initiation, Josh?

1:48:26

Because it's super important that there's a distinction between the two.

1:48:30

Are you saying that?

1:48:31

Added character.

1:48:34

Added character.

1:48:35

Josh, because you asked if we had heard you ask an added character

1:48:35

question.

1:48:41

No, no, no.

1:48:41

This was...

1:48:43

No, I was asking out of character if people had heard me in-character

1:48:43

beforehand say that.

1:48:52

That's why I needed to make sure of the clarification.

1:48:55

I don't know if at that time it was understood that that was

1:48:59

an in-character question or comment.

1:49:03

Oh, fair enough.

1:49:04

I'll reiterate it to everybody.

1:49:06

Can anybody deal with the fact that we're on camera doing fairly illegal

1:49:06

things?

1:49:12

No.

1:49:13

Why?

1:49:14

Do you know where the security station is?

1:49:17

We could take a look around.

1:49:18

I'd take a look around.

1:49:19

We don't have time for that.

1:49:21

Yeah, I don't think we could.

1:49:24

How do we get off of the planet?

1:49:26

How do we get off of the planet, everyone?

1:49:28

How did we get onto the planet?

1:49:29

We have two high-level people, their bodies, that we could maybe take.

1:49:37

We need to first get out of this building,

1:49:39

the secure egress route, and then we can worry about the next step

1:49:39

after.

1:49:44

This man, I like this man, he points to

1:49:47

Kolb's character.

1:49:49

I like this man.

1:49:49

Let us go!

1:49:50

Um, from the radio from the commissar, is there any additional chatter?

1:49:58

You are hearing still an unusual hiss.

1:50:02

Like it's not working.

1:50:03

Um, they might have had jammers in here,

1:50:08

folks, and I take the earpiece out of my ear and throw it on the ground.

1:50:13

Um,

1:50:16

And as for getting out of here, if we get to a ship, I can calculate us

1:50:16

to jump out of here.

1:50:23

Yeah, let's get out of here.

1:50:26

Does anyone have a ship?

1:50:28

Do I have a ship?

1:50:29

Do we have a ship?

1:50:30

How did we get on and off this planet?

1:50:32

Some of us are already here.

1:50:35

You guys have lived here probably for years.

1:50:38

You probably left here after you're in military service.

1:50:41

Ships are ludicrously expensive things.

1:50:44

Cheap ships that can go out of a solar system is basically nine to ten

1:50:44

times

1:50:49

the cost of a 777 Boeing airliner.

1:50:55

So how do we get off of this planet?

1:50:57

I look at Laura, not Laura, Emma.

1:51:02

Emma, you have contact.

1:51:06

Anywhere we can hide or run?

1:51:09

Not a group this size.

1:51:11

We can

1:51:12

Oh, do I have a safe house, Patrick?

1:51:16

I would say you know places where people don't go.

1:51:18

Yeah, because we talked about that one point, and there was never any

1:51:18

conclusion to it.

1:51:26

No doubt that you know places where there aren't people.

1:51:29

I will say you're all hearing an odd noise.

1:51:33

It is a grinding sound,

1:51:36

a pause, a grinding sound, and an impact, and the impact is getting

1:51:36

louder at a

1:51:43

Irregular rate Yeah,

1:51:45

they're trying to get it Kiernan will load a lethal round into a shotgun

1:51:45

and just at

1:51:54

the inception of the noise just be like,

1:51:57

ah, the fucking witch So can we all point our guns at that?

1:52:04

I would say that we leave before it gets here.

1:52:06

We should leave, yes.

1:52:07

Run.

1:52:08

Let's go.

1:52:09

I want to pick up the headpiece that he threw to the ground so I can

1:52:09

continue listening.

1:52:15

And leave.

1:52:15

Oh, Judah smashed it.

1:52:19

Yeah, Carla's character said she walked over and smashed it with her

1:52:19

feet.

1:52:26

Now, you guys have two places you guys can try to go, obviously.

1:52:30

One is try to get back to the elevator down.

1:52:33

The second way is you guys could try to break your way through some of

1:52:33

the doors at the top.

1:52:38

And then the unconventional way is there is the window.

1:52:45

I'm not going to rappel down the Dubai Tower, Tom Cruise style.

1:52:51

I am a late... ...to overpower the grav belt.

1:53:03

I'm sorry, say that again, Patrick?

1:53:07

I could not hear the rest of that statement, Steinbuck.

1:53:10

Could you say that again, Patrick?

1:53:11

Something about overloading the grab belt?

1:53:13

Yeah, someone could try to do an engineering roll on the...

1:53:17

like a power roll on the grab belt to basically have it burn itself out

1:53:21

to have you guys fall faster.

1:53:23

To fall more than one person holding onto it.

1:53:29

Do I have engineering?

1:53:34

I don't know if that does any good.

1:53:36

Yeah, I have it.

1:53:38

Off the top of the dome?

1:53:40

Not at all.

1:53:42

Cass is going to try this.

1:54:03

I am walking over to it and looking at it and saying, someone please

1:54:03

open this.

1:54:07

Because this is beyond me.

1:54:10

I'll try it.

1:54:12

Okay, so...

1:54:15

So, you're doing computers and then you were trying to get an assistance

1:54:15

from Alan.

1:54:26

Okay.

1:54:27

Do you have a computer?

1:54:29

Yes, I have a computer.

1:54:31

Okay, so whoever is trying to do it, you can roll it with a boom.

1:54:37

Kiernan is going to post up finding some cover to cover the elevator and

1:54:37

just see

1:54:43

if anyone comes up and shoot them.

1:54:46

Am I doing the computer roll?

1:54:48

No.

1:54:49

Oh, sorry.

1:54:50

You aid someone, you don't roll.

1:54:52

You help their roll.

1:54:54

Okay, got it.

1:54:56

Okay, so that door is open as the window bursts open,

1:55:04

and you see this mech come out of the window.

1:55:10

Did you say the elevator door is open as well?

1:55:13

No, I said the door that you guys were working on.

1:55:15

The door that we were working on, okay.

1:55:19

Caspian tells Zoy that he's a good boy and dives through the door.

1:55:23

Where are these images you're putting, by the way?

1:55:26

Just for the...

1:55:28

It's on the left-hand side of the map.

1:55:31

He's not using images, he's using the icons.

1:55:34

Okay.

1:55:38

You have to zoom out a little bit for the... You took an artwork.

1:55:45

No, I just accept my fate.

1:55:47

I'm just a gun.

1:55:48

That's a chunky boy.

1:55:49

I'm just a gun.

1:55:50

I don't get to see stuff.

1:55:51

Good thing I moved the fuck out of that way.

1:55:53

There you go.

1:55:55

I put it in the Discord.

1:55:59

We have that map.

1:56:02

I feel like that one meme.

1:56:06

Can I pet that dog?

1:56:08

Everyone who is attempting to run out the door, who is beyond this

1:56:08

little quick group,

1:56:15

All these people are out.

1:56:17

Why is it selecting everybody?

1:56:19

Let me try to stop that.

1:56:21

These people are out.

1:56:23

Okay.

1:56:25

Everyone else,

1:56:27

except Annette,

1:56:28

because Annette can run 20 miles an hour,

1:56:32

needs to roll a dexterity just to try to get out before the robot sees.

1:56:38

Everyone but?

1:56:39

So Dan, Sarnan, and Emma.

1:56:46

I'm still going to take up the rear,

1:56:48

just because I'm worried about my favorite flesh bags getting shot.

1:56:53

Okay.

1:56:54

So, Dan's asking for it.

1:57:00

Annette, you're in cover, I imagine, so you're going to give covering

1:57:00

fire against the robot?

1:57:09

That's correct.

1:57:10

Okay, great.

1:57:11

Emma gets out, and Cernan is the one I don't have.

1:57:15

Kernan is the one I don't have.

1:57:21

I beg, I beg.

1:57:23

I apologize.

1:57:24

I forgot that I was doing it.

1:57:27

You are me.

1:57:28

I am you.

1:57:29

I beg.

1:57:30

I didn't move my character earlier to the door.

1:57:33

Why won't he?

1:57:34

See, I keep double-clicking, and it doesn't open it, and it's really

1:57:34

frustrating.

1:57:42

Okay, what are we trying to do?

1:57:44

I'm trying to open... Peter doesn't have his stuff, so...

1:57:47

There it is.

1:57:48

Okay.

1:57:50

Okay, he gets out, and I guess, boy, you were not in that list, because

1:57:50

I just saw you drag.

1:57:54

Can you give me a roll, too, from Dex?

1:57:57

Well, how did I open the door for them if I wasn't next to it?

1:58:00

Oh, I just saw, like, a weird drag.

1:58:01

Okay, you're fine, then.

1:58:02

I didn't move it earlier, sorry.

1:58:04

Annette, do you mind if I roll just for the expedience?

1:58:07

Sure.

1:58:07

I asked Annette, do you mind if I roll just for the expedience?

1:58:10

Yeah, go ahead, go ahead.

1:58:15

I lay down quote unquote cover fire.

1:58:20

Actually, it may change what the fuck you guys want to do.

1:58:27

She has shot and killed the pilot and has not destroyed the walker.

1:58:33

You guys want a Mac?

1:58:36

Wait, wait, wait.

1:58:39

I get to see something cool, right?

1:58:41

I think Cole needs it to make up for his last game with a mech.

1:58:45

Hey, can I at least say something cool?

1:58:48

Yep.

1:58:49

I turn around and say, it's okay, guys.

1:58:52

Threat neutralized.

1:58:55

Hey, man.

1:58:56

I thought, does someone want a mech was really cool to say.

1:59:00

Does someone want a mech?

1:59:02

That was really cool.

1:59:05

Someone want a mech?

1:59:06

Sue has battle dress skill.

1:59:09

Me.

1:59:09

I don't know who does.

1:59:11

They're a walker.

1:59:13

Yeah.

1:59:14

Oh, but we can make one.

1:59:15

We can make it.

1:59:16

That's a lot of tech.

1:59:17

But no, Kiernan does have battle drives.

1:59:19

Drive or a pilot?

1:59:21

Oh, that would probably be a land vehicle?

1:59:25

It's drive.

1:59:26

Yeah, drive.

1:59:27

Land vehicle.

1:59:28

Kiernan has that, too.

1:59:29

Not a lot of it, I don't think.

1:59:32

Did you say something?

1:59:35

It's passed.

1:59:36

Don't worry.

1:59:38

Okay.

1:59:38

You all could climb on the mech and if it climbed up the building,

1:59:44

you could have it climb down the building.

1:59:47

Oh shit, give me grav belt.

1:59:49

Put grav belt on mech and jump.

1:59:51

Just the people who are still here, though, right?

1:59:53

The people who have already left are already left.

1:59:56

No, we're at the end.

1:59:57

They're basically at the end of the door.

1:59:59

Like, they could hear you all.

2:00:01

They just weren't in that much time.

2:00:04

I vote for riding the mech to victory.

2:00:07

I too vote for this.

2:00:09

I ride mech to seven.

2:00:11

At the very least, it'll take boats better.

2:00:13

Let's do that.

2:00:15

Going down to the side of the scene does make it you don't have to fight

2:00:15

floor

2:00:18

to floor to get out of here.

2:00:21

This is a great way to cement my lineage.

2:00:23

Let us do this.

2:00:24

I have explosives.

2:00:26

Can I maybe, like,

2:00:27

set off an explosive towards the bottom with the intention of clearing

2:00:27

the way so

2:00:34

that when we do land with the mech,

2:00:38

We're not having to deal with any shit at the bottom?

2:00:41

I would say you don't have bomb-making materials on your sheet right

2:00:41

now, so...

2:00:47

Okay.

2:00:49

Now, does anyone have Draught?

2:00:54

Let's just start there.

2:00:55

We're gonna see who has a drive of zero to even get the mech booted.

2:00:58

I have a drive of zero.

2:01:03

Laura, you might have to review what my drive is on my sheet, but I...

2:01:06

I'm desperately trying, but for some reason, when I double-click, it

2:01:06

doesn't open.

2:01:11

I have to go with the actor.

2:01:14

You have drive hovercraft, and that's it.

2:01:17

Okay.

2:01:18

That does make sense.

2:01:20

It would have been crazy if I had mech, right?

2:01:22

That would have been too on the note.

2:01:25

That would have been too much kickback.

2:01:27

Let's walk.

2:01:28

Let's walk.

2:01:30

Yeah, I just saw that right now.

2:01:34

Yeah.

2:01:36

But do I have a drive of zero?

2:01:39

Yes.

2:01:40

Yeah, you have a drive of zero.

2:01:41

And then a hovercraft of one, and that's it.

2:01:44

Yeah, I can start it.

2:01:47

I can start it.

2:01:48

He looks inside.

2:01:50

Okay, so... How about this?

2:01:57

You have...

2:01:59

I mean, actually look at like the because it's going to be a

2:01:59

intelligence role to run it.

2:02:06

But this is the but this is because it's the storyteller idea and

2:02:06

everybody's like,

2:02:12

but it's not the only option.

2:02:15

No, we have all of our conventional options still at our disposal.

2:02:19

We just got lucked out on, you know, keeping the mech intact.

2:02:23

Yeah.

2:02:23

Yeah.

2:02:24

Honestly, without a net shot, I didn't think this would be possible.

2:02:28

Yeah.

2:02:29

So, mathematically, the best way is you have Emma actually as the

2:02:29

driver.

2:02:34

She has the highest roll with it with her intelligence,

2:02:36

and then she's supported by Siernan to basically get the boon on the

2:02:36

roll.

2:02:46

Every other character just needs either a strength or dex to hold on

2:02:50

while it slides down the edge of the building.

2:02:55

God, I love that.

2:02:58

Kiernan loves that idea.

2:03:00

I'm going to go so far as probably one person doesn't need to roll the

2:03:00

Strength

2:03:04

or Dex because they can be held in the paw of the walker.

2:03:10

Judith's going to go to the bathroom.

2:03:11

She's like, you know, all weirded out by this.

2:03:15

There's plenty of time to go, you know.

2:03:17

So should we roll now, Strength or Dex?

2:03:20

I just want to know if this is people's plan.

2:03:22

I'm giving you guys a choice.

2:03:25

Yeah, I can hop in the next...

2:03:28

I can do the driving.

2:03:30

If I'm still closest to it, I can just say that I got there first.

2:03:35

And I'm pushing.

2:03:36

And so I will just jump in the pilot seat and then yell at everyone to

2:03:36

come on, hold on.

2:03:40

It sounds like a cool idea, but I'm going to just pause and then, like,

2:03:40

game person think.

2:03:52

What?

2:03:53

We're halfway up, we're halfway down.

2:03:57

We are choosing to go down.

2:03:59

Why aren't we choosing to try to take a vehicle up into the sky?

2:04:04

I don't think any of us have a vehicle to go into the sky.

2:04:11

Yeah, there's no vehicle in this room.

2:04:12

This is the vehicle in the room.

2:04:14

This thing.

2:04:15

I know Kiernan doesn't have one.

2:04:17

Okay, so then I just want to make sure I'm giving out all possibilities.

2:04:21

I mean...

2:04:22

Listen, there's only like a 30% chance that you roll and die.

2:04:26

Everybody's against it.

2:04:27

Okay, just want to make sure.

2:04:29

Cool.

2:04:29

Let's go get on that back.

2:04:31

Fuck it.

2:04:32

Fuck it.

2:04:34

Kiernan's boon to Emma is just a lot of nagging about,

2:04:39

nagging to a stranger about, no, no, no, this is how you do gird shift.

2:04:42

No, no, no! What do you do? Why do this?

2:04:43

Why, no, stop.

2:04:46

She's able to get it down the side.

2:04:47

I was going to ask if I could leadership to help on that.

2:04:52

Oh.

2:04:53

I actually would roll your leadership because people may need those

2:04:53

boons to hang on.

2:04:59

Okay, go for it.

2:05:00

If I lose leadership, I have a three.

2:05:02

As do I. I have a one.

2:05:03

I can assist you.

2:05:04

Go for it then.

2:05:05

I will just be here.

2:05:07

Okay.

2:05:09

Kiernan screams on the way down like I'm Iron Man.

2:05:13

Victor would be like, hold on to your butts, and rolls that leadership.

2:05:19

Oh, that's wonderfully bad.

2:05:22

Yeah, no success.

2:05:24

And it begins.

2:05:25

Okay.

2:05:27

No!

2:05:27

I have faith.

2:05:31

Who is not in the mech or being held.

2:05:33

Whoever has negative on both strengths and decks should call out and

2:05:33

they'll be held.

2:05:38

I think Josh is fine.

2:05:44

I roll two wands.

2:05:46

I roll two wands.

2:05:47

So...

2:05:50

The question would be, better to roll a straight stat or athletics at

2:05:50

zero?

2:06:00

You can roll athletics at zero.

2:06:01

I have no problem with that.

2:06:04

Should I make a roll?

2:06:07

Yes.

2:06:12

Everyone's doing great.

2:06:15

Wait, I have a question.

2:06:17

My...

2:06:18

The top of my sheet says Strength plus zero, Dex plus two, Endurance

2:06:18

plus two.

2:06:23

But then when I get into my skills, it's at plus zero.

2:06:29

But you just roll Dex.

2:06:31

Okay, just roll Dex.

2:06:32

Got it.

2:06:34

Okay.

2:06:38

Oh, God.

2:06:40

It's a marginal failure.

2:06:41

Okay.

2:06:42

So you guys all climb on.

2:06:45

Emma is sliding across the edge of the building.

2:06:49

Maru falls pretty fast,

2:06:51

and she just impacts the ground, but she does negate ludicrous amounts

2:06:51

of damage.

2:06:59

I think she negates...

2:07:05

So she's gonna have some damage, in hindsight.

2:07:07

She's gonna have a bit.

2:07:09

Not...

2:07:14

You're gonna be...

2:07:15

I'm okay.

2:07:17

Oh god.

2:07:18

Before we find out that Psyche is okay,

2:07:22

unfortunately Kiernan does see her fall off the mech however many

2:07:22

stories down

2:07:26

and just on her way down goes dibs to make her into battle dress.

2:07:32

Well, actually, let me also swap something.

2:07:36

You hold on to Alan, Steinbach, you fall, but you have the grab belt.

2:07:42

There we go.

2:07:46

So that means everyone's fine.

2:07:51

You make impact on the ground.

2:07:53

There are police vehicles about,

2:07:57

and they're kind of looking around for people,

2:08:01

but they all think you're part of the military teams because you're on a

2:08:01

mech.

2:08:08

That's exactly how this works.

2:08:10

I mean, yeah, I mean, I think Kiernan, honestly, I think Kiernan

2:08:10

probably has done this before.

2:08:15

Probably pretty naturally falls into,

2:08:17

like, you know, grabbing onto the rigging, having the shotgun in one

2:08:17

hand.

2:08:24

Seems pretty comfortable on the back of a Mac.

2:08:27

There is a

2:08:32

grab speeder that comes up

2:08:36

and basically edges up

2:08:40

To Kolb's character and says, Please, get in the vehicle.

2:08:46

I will take you all to safety.

2:08:49

Oh, yes.

2:08:50

Do I recognize a voice from one of my many allies?

2:08:54

You do not.

2:08:57

Uh, Kaspian gets in the vehicle.

2:09:00

Like, let's go.

2:09:01

We're going to safety.

2:09:03

Right.

2:09:03

How much do we want to bet that this is the same guy who fucked us?

2:09:07

I'll get in the vehicle.

2:09:09

Let's go, let's go.

2:09:09

I get in the vehicle.

2:09:10

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

2:09:14

Kiernan gets in the vehicle.

2:09:15

He still says that.

2:09:16

I'll say maybe, but we'll keep worrying.

2:09:20

No time for question.

2:09:22

No time to question, indeed.

2:09:23

We will shoot in face.

2:09:26

You all jump into the vehicle, I imagine.

2:09:28

No one rejects jumping in the vehicle.

2:09:31

Can the mech get in the vehicle, or do we have to leave the mech behind?

2:09:33

This is so sad.

2:09:36

We can't take the mech.

2:09:47

You don't want to take the mech with you.

2:09:49

Patrick, Patrick, battle dress.

2:09:54

Okay, so everyone gets in the car eventually, correct?

2:09:58

Yes.

2:09:59

Okay.

2:10:00

Car drives away.

2:10:02

This is fucking clown car, he screams.

2:10:04

Door shuts.

2:10:07

Well, it's open air.

2:10:08

It's kind of like the speeder in Star Wars on Tatooine.

2:10:14

Oh, okay.

2:10:16

But it does hold ten, so you guys are pretty comfortable.

2:10:19

Oh, shit.

2:10:20

I know how to drive.

2:10:21

We're in a space van.

2:10:23

Yes.

2:10:24

If someone wants to manually drive,

2:10:27

it will give a map description of where it's trying to take you.

2:10:31

If you don't, it will go there just slower and can't really outrun

2:10:31

someone.

2:10:38

Autopilot got here, Autopilot will get out.

2:10:42

So do we see the guy or was it like a computerized voice

2:10:45

and there was nobody sitting in the thing?

2:10:47

Computerized voice, no one sitting in the thing.

2:10:49

Okay.

2:10:51

It is a level one computer driver.

2:10:53

It's like a Johnny Cap.

2:10:55

What are those things in LA?

2:10:56

Yeah.

2:10:57

Yeah.

2:11:02

Wait, so do we still have the woman with us, though, right?

2:11:05

The woman who we took?

2:11:07

She could hold on to the mech.

2:11:11

Yeah, we didn't take her.

2:11:12

Okay, I'm just asking.

2:11:14

Oh, so she's now just alive.

2:11:18

Yeah, then I think we would have killed her.

2:11:20

Yeah, I mean, Kiernan would have thrown her out a window if that was the

2:11:20

case.

2:11:24

That's so sad, though.

2:11:27

Is it okay if we... Is it okay if...

2:11:29

I mean, that's definitely a thing he would have done.

2:11:31

I don't even know if we call that a wreck.

2:11:33

I'm sorry, I should have spoke up.

2:11:35

Oh, like, he would have, like, walked by and, like, headshot or, like,

2:11:35

you know, double-tapped?

2:11:40

Yeah.

2:11:41

Yes, very much so.

2:11:43

Yeah,

2:11:44

I honestly think your preservation of your own life was a higher aspect

2:11:44

than killing

2:11:48

a person.

2:11:51

That's part of the preservation of my life, is not leaving a witness.

2:11:54

Yeah.

2:11:56

We didn't think about it in the moment.

2:11:57

She's alive.

2:11:58

It doesn't really matter.

2:12:00

Let me tell you something.

2:12:02

That's why I smashed her earbud.

2:12:05

Yeah.

2:12:06

Yes, you lamented for years to come.

2:12:10

As you guys look at the map, it's driving back to your home.

2:12:19

Well, we don't live in the same building.

2:12:22

Yes, you do.

2:12:23

Just the building is like 120 stories tall.

2:12:30

It's a huge arcology.

2:12:32

Yep.

2:12:33

I get that.

2:12:33

I'm just saying, how then would we have ever not seen each other?

2:12:37

You're all on different elevators,

2:12:38

you're all on different classes,

2:12:39

you're all on different... Yeah, it's like not seeing somebody in your

2:12:39

neighborhood.

2:12:44

It's like New York.

2:12:44

You live next door to somebody and you never see them.

2:12:48

Like, oh, you live next door to them?

2:12:50

I work in a three-story building.

2:12:53

And there's parking access to the upper two floors.

2:12:58

I don't see many of the people at the upper two floors.

2:13:02

So you just aren't necessarily going to see everybody.

2:13:05

Okay.

2:13:07

There are people who worked in office buildings on different floors I

2:13:07

never saw,

2:13:10

and they came in every day.

2:13:13

Okay.

2:13:14

Yeah.

2:13:16

So it's driving you, though.

2:13:18

Obviously, no one knows where you guys quote-unquote live.

2:13:22

As it's getting closer and closer towards your house,

2:13:24

though, you notice it's not going to the front door.

2:13:30

It is going to the back of it to a waste disposal area.

2:13:39

And as the

2:13:43

Floating vehicle goes through basically all the areas where trash

2:13:48

and garbage is basically picked up.

2:13:50

A panel slides open and it has a pathway going downwards that the car

2:13:50

drives down into.

2:14:00

Oh, wow.

2:14:02

This is a fancy garage.

2:14:04

This must be how the servants access the building.

2:14:13

Oh, um, who?

2:14:16

It's not even, you know what, I think we're about to find out.

2:14:19

It's not even worth asking questions at this point.

2:14:24

Uh, Zoe, is this how you get in and out?

2:14:29

Boy!

2:14:31

Shake my head.

2:14:34

I look, like, interesting.

2:14:35

They've got a wall on the side of the building for me, it's cool.

2:14:40

Um...

2:14:42

I will say, Emma, you did not know that this existed under here.

2:14:46

Okay.

2:14:51

I will say people who have Streetwise can roll a Streetwise Rollo.

2:14:58

That is a skill that I do now.

2:15:00

I like that.

2:15:03

If I have it, I have it.

2:15:06

I'm just trying to find it.

2:15:07

Yeah, same here.

2:15:12

Not horrible.

2:15:14

Average failure.

2:15:18

What is its parent?

2:15:20

Oh, there it is.

2:15:20

You do have Streetwise, Peter.

2:15:22

Oh.

2:15:24

You have it at zero, but you have it.

2:15:26

Ooh.

2:15:27

Well, then roll those silly beans.

2:15:29

Why not?

2:15:31

Thank you.

2:15:32

I love you.

2:15:33

Yeah, you failed a lot.

2:15:38

Okay, that makes sense.

2:15:39

He's much more preoccupied with loading his shotgun with as many lethal

2:15:39

rounds

2:15:43

as he possibly can for whoever is manipulating his life.

2:15:47

Steinbeck,

2:15:47

you've heard that there are underground criminals in Jardin that use

2:15:47

access ways,

2:15:58

cleaning material locations,

2:15:59

venting paths, and they basically have their headquarters in the cracks

2:15:59

of

2:16:13

I've heard of things like this. There are top criminal organizations

2:16:13

that operate on the ground

2:16:19

like this—I cannot hear you, Steinbach.

2:16:23

There's a little bit of background, Laura, on your stuff right now. Can

2:16:23

you turn

2:16:33

I said all right everyone be on your car i have heard of things like

2:16:33

this

2:16:37

the criminal organizations that like to use under

2:17:04

Like, private combat work?

2:17:06

Does anyone think we've all been doing mafioso shit on accident?

2:17:10

Fuck, suka.

2:17:13

An accident?

2:17:16

Well, I didn't know that the... Who knows?

2:17:19

I thought the troller I was defending was completely legal.

2:17:23

Now I don't know.

2:17:24

You say crime.

2:17:26

Did I do crime?

2:17:29

He narrows his eye, furrows his brow.

2:17:31

Did I do crime?

2:17:32

You did.

2:17:33

When did I do crime?

2:17:35

Other than all the people I killed, when did I do crime?

2:17:40

So should we get out?

2:17:43

I don't know.

2:17:43

Probably not.

2:17:44

These people saved life.

2:17:47

Did they let us out yet?

2:17:50

It's not locked.

2:17:51

It's an open door.

2:17:52

All right.

2:17:55

Varian would step out.

2:17:57

I think it's time to step out.

2:18:01

Victor also steps out, but his gun comes up.

2:18:04

He is scanning.

2:18:05

He is clearing the room around him and taking the step over so

2:18:09

the next person can come out, also hopefully armed.

2:18:13

Yeah, I'd have my pistol out.

2:18:15

Cole?

2:18:15

I'm going to ask one last time, Cole.

2:18:23

Oh, shit.

2:18:25

I was hot-keying on my computer.

2:18:28

I forgot.

2:18:28

I switched to my phone.

2:18:29

My computer died.

2:18:32

I don't think we're in danger,

2:18:39

but I do understand that we might be involved with some kind of illegal,

2:18:45

nefarious activity.

2:18:47

And Cass will wait for the robot bodyguard to get out before he exits

2:18:47

the building.

2:18:56

Okay.

2:18:59

Um, you

2:19:01

As everyone gets out of the car,

2:19:02

a light appears on the edge of the wall on the floor,

2:19:09

and it is making a pathway for you to walk.

2:19:18

I've got my gun in a ready position, and we'll follow.

2:19:21

I don't know.

2:19:23

Is it going to get worse?

2:19:24

I mean, they could have just blown up the car when we were in it.

2:19:27

I mean, maybe we can learn something.

2:19:30

Yeah.

2:19:30

I mean, I'm gonna go, so.

2:19:34

I'm gonna let the bigger guy go first.

2:19:41

After you guys walk about,

2:19:43

I'd say,

2:19:43

a thousand yards across a few turning,

2:19:47

twisty areas,

2:19:48

you come up to a vault door, and there is a speaker and a keypad next to

2:19:48

it.

2:19:53

And as you walk up, it says...

2:19:56

Hello, I mean you no harm.

2:19:58

I'm glad I was able to rescue you from that you had at the Palace of

2:19:58

Continuity.

2:20:07

As I did rescue you,

2:20:08

and I believe that we might be able to transmit information that would

2:20:08

be helpful

2:20:13

to both of us,

2:20:15

I was wondering if you

2:20:16

at least would give me your word you will not initiate violence.

2:20:22

I put my gun away.

2:20:26

I give you my word, I will not initiate violence.

2:20:29

I do not put my gun away.

2:20:34

I look at my gun and see if there's any blood on it.

2:20:38

I use the bit of uniform that I am now wearing because I decided to go

2:20:38

ahead and put it on.

2:20:45

It obviously doesn't fit me.

2:20:46

I swipe off the blood and I say, I will not initiate.

2:20:52

And then I lower my weapon, but I don't take my hand off of the Holt, or

2:20:52

whatever it's called.

2:20:58

Kiernan nods at Judith.

2:21:01

Yes, yes.

2:21:02

Fuck yes.

2:21:07

Wonderful.

2:21:08

As everyone basically either gives an impression that they are not going

2:21:13

to initiate violence or stay silent, you hear a kiss open as the vault

2:21:13

door

2:21:22

unlocks and a very humid room is on the other side of it. It's dark with

2:21:22

minor lights in

2:21:33

the sides, definitely one corner there is a large almost mech-sized

2:21:33

object

2:21:42

in the room in the darkness.

2:21:46

Space whales!

2:21:50

Colbs says, Space Whales, the fourth wall breaks, we die.

2:21:59

Cass will step forward deeper into the room and say,

2:22:08

what has motivated your efforts to assist us?

2:22:14

This exchange of information, what do you got?

2:22:18

The issue at play is I am a member of the Jordan Syndicate,

2:22:24

a group of criminals that have influence in many places.

2:22:31

The situation that came into play was originally we thought

2:22:36

that Minister Mercer had learned of our manipulations in the genetic

2:22:36

code to

2:22:45

Aid those who are less fortunate to be able to acquire jobs of their

2:22:45

merit.

2:22:51

When we learned that that was not what he was attempting to present, we

2:22:51

pulled away.

2:23:00

But we feel that his assassination and being blamed on it by you,

2:23:08

they may take it that they will rewrite the story of what Mercer was

2:23:08

going to say

2:23:15

As our influence in the halls of continuity, even if that is not the

2:23:15

truth.

2:23:25

So you're worried they're going to blame you,

2:23:27

then use that as an excuse to do further crackdowns and cut

2:23:30

into your profit margins?

2:23:33

Exactly.

2:23:34

We know that this was not what he was looking for,

2:23:37

as we had a contact directly speak to him,

2:23:40

and he said the problem was from above, not below.

2:23:49

Okay.

2:23:50

Why us?

2:23:55

Why they blamed you, I imagine, has something to do quite likely with

2:23:55

whatever the secret was.

2:24:03

You were allowed into an area armed to the teeth while there were as

2:24:03

many of you

2:24:08

when they would have normally separated you in different military

2:24:08

groups.

2:24:14

I have seen the footage

2:24:17

And you all act as you have had some interactions with one another.

2:24:23

The court case that you were a rebellion,

2:24:28

an assassin military group, some type of merc unit, the story will write

2:24:28

itself.

2:24:37

Wait, okay.

2:24:38

Sorry, just go over my head a little bit.

2:24:41

So you ruin our lives?

2:24:47

I think you're even being a little too naive in that sense.

2:24:53

There are individuals in the government that are attempting to maintain

2:24:53

secrecy

2:25:00

over their crimes and are blaming you.

2:25:04

I do not believe the entirety of the Saldani government is bad.

2:25:09

I believe that there are individuals who are greedy in ways

2:25:15

that crush honest men underneath their boot.

2:25:19

And you were trying to manipulate the genetic lineage to get those

2:25:19

honest men

2:25:25

into positions of work, and you just happened...

2:25:32

It was independent.

2:25:33

You discover,

2:25:34

oh shit,

2:25:35

they do bad shit to these select people,

2:25:39

and then you go out of your way to help them.

2:25:42

That's what you say?

2:25:44

We had hacked into records that showed this attempted assassination

2:25:44

unedited.

2:25:53

The fact that Mercer was killed when Mercer was going to reveal

2:25:53

corruption from

2:25:57

above, we fear that that will make them blame us, even if it is not us.

2:26:04

By having you alive

2:26:08

instead of all murdered and the past swept under is advantageous to us.

2:26:16

There's an opportunity for us to prove our innocence and thus negating

2:26:16

your involvement.

2:26:23

Correct.

2:26:24

Plus, the forces are going to start looking for us and any cops and et

2:26:24

cetera

2:26:31

that are looking for us are not going to be looking for the syndicate.

2:26:35

So, us being out there on LAM benefits them too.

2:26:39

Am I right as I turn back to the operative or the syndicate member?

2:26:45

Well, just to also be clear, in the dark, it is a mech-sized thing

2:26:45

that's talking to you.

2:26:54

Yeah, it's a filthy alien.

2:27:00

Killer whale.

2:27:02

So, your being alive would not stop them from blaming us.

2:27:10

But it may hurt those who want to hurt us and have used you as passive.

2:27:22

I take it you have some plan to aid us in our escape?

2:27:28

We have a plan that will allow you to have a few days to investigate and

2:27:28

gather some

2:27:37

of your resources.

2:27:39

We have created electronic veils,

2:27:43

a mask you wear above your face that will no longer register you

2:27:49

as your normal identity on the computer tracking cameras.

2:27:58

Great, and what do we owe you?

2:28:04

I believe

2:28:07

You will wish to harm those who have blamed you and made you a patsy.

2:28:13

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

2:28:21

Hey, I love that.

2:28:23

You don't want anything more from us?

2:28:25

Great.

2:28:26

Let's go our separate ways.

2:28:27

I don't want to talk to you anymore.

2:28:31

Can I make a tactics roll?

2:28:35

There is no combat.

2:28:38

I'm trying to say the advantage that they're gaining.

2:28:42

Is it worth the technology they're giving us access to?

2:28:49

Other than it being illegal, it's not very expensive.

2:28:52

Gotcha.

2:28:52

Okay.

2:28:54

So, in that same vein,

2:28:57

thank you, Cole,

2:28:58

because I've been trying to figure out what can I do,

2:29:01

what can I say, what can I, like, intuit

2:29:05

By being deceptive myself,

2:29:08

can I roll deception to understand whether or not they're actually being

2:29:08

truthful?

2:29:12

Um...

2:29:15

I thought it was another skill to do that.

2:29:20

Um...

2:29:24

I think to... Oh, right, no, there is no way to directly tell someone

2:29:24

the line.

2:29:29

Right, that was the thing we hit last time.

2:29:32

Um...

2:29:33

You can do a broker to see if they're doing a steal.

2:29:37

You could do an investigate to see if there's evidence that they're

2:29:37

lying directly

2:29:42

in front of you, but there's not evidence here.

2:29:45

Yeah.

2:29:47

You could persuade them.

2:29:51

No, that's not really what I'm thinking about.

2:29:55

You being a good liar doesn't stop people being a good liar to you.

2:29:58

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

2:30:01

Let me know when I can speak.

2:30:03

You can speak.

2:30:06

Is there any way that you can help us to remove the images of us being

2:30:06

there,

2:30:13

scrubbing their databases?

2:30:15

I think that would be extremely helpful.

2:30:18

Yes, much more helpful than you will be to me.

2:30:25

Right, yes.

2:30:30

Are they hiring us?

2:30:34

What did you say?

2:30:36

Are they hiring us?

2:30:38

Or...

2:30:38

I'm a little confused.

2:30:42

No, they're not hiring you.

2:30:44

They're... What part are you... Well, another player probably...

2:30:49

They're releasing us into the wild so that we can continue to be a pain

2:30:49

in the ass

2:30:54

to SoulSec so they can continue to do what they're trying to do.

2:31:00

Without increased scrutiny upon them.

2:31:04

Or a diversion.

2:31:08

But in this case it's better to be a diversion than on the other end of

2:31:11

a firing squad for being framed for something we didn't do.

2:31:17

Though they could easily kill us for the things that we have now.

2:31:23

If you are looking for work to do we may be able to help you in a

2:31:23

greater way.

2:31:31

Oh?

2:31:36

Do you have interest?

2:31:37

Yeah, tell us more.

2:31:39

Oh, well, quick toss.

2:31:44

Jardin is a name.

2:31:46

It is somewhat familiar, just out of character, though, like, above

2:31:46

board.

2:31:51

Jardin is... Where does that fall fucking...

2:31:56

Socio-politically and all that stuff?

2:32:00

Is it a planet?

2:32:01

Is it a species?

2:32:02

Is it a sector?

2:32:04

It's a galactic planet you're on, which is also the name of that solar

2:32:04

system.

2:32:09

I gave a link in the Discord chat specifically on Jardone.

2:32:16

So if you want to know about the place...

2:32:21

Okay, so...

2:32:23

I have a surface knowledge of this,

2:32:25

like when they say something like Jardin crime syndicate it would be

2:32:25

like a group

2:32:34

In this sector not necessarily only on the side.

2:32:37

Exactly okay

2:32:39

Okay

2:32:40

I will say if you as you guys are saying that you might be willing

2:32:43

to do other jobs he will come out of the darkness and he does look like

2:32:43

that

2:32:46

I put this in discord

2:32:51

What's up, buddy?

2:32:56

I was close.

2:32:58

The humidity gave away.

2:33:03

Kiernan just goes, ugh.

2:33:06

But other than that, seems fine.

2:33:09

It's a dolphin.

2:33:11

It's a dolphin in an aquarium.

2:33:17

I understand that you need allies and help.

2:33:19

While many of you may be afraid to call on your old resources

2:33:23

as they would consider you possibly burned or enemies of the state.

2:33:33

Oh, shit.

2:33:34

He looks around to the other people nearby.

2:33:36

You guys have old resources?

2:33:38

Allies and friends?

2:33:39

Oh, shit.

2:33:40

Whoa.

2:33:44

You guys are connected like that?

2:33:45

Damn.

2:33:47

Does doing some work for you put us on the path to getting off-world

2:33:47

down the road?

2:34:00

I would definitely pay you well enough that after a period of jobs,

2:34:05

you would definitely be able to either pay for transport or at least get

2:34:05

yourselves

2:34:12

on a planet different than this one.

2:34:15

Do you have any work that is off-world?

2:34:23

I think first they want us to do this task on World,

2:34:27

because if they ship us off World, then the problem is back around.

2:34:32

They need us to try to unframe ourselves.

2:34:38

Judith, thank you so much for your audience.

2:34:43

My name is Judith.

2:34:44

You probably already have figured that out.

2:34:47

What is your name?

2:34:51

My name...

2:34:52

Hold on a second, I actually just literally left that page.

2:34:54

Because that's the way...

2:34:56

I am Marcel Delphine.

2:35:00

Okay.

2:35:02

You need to speak with some more nasal in your voice.

2:35:07

I cannot speak for this group.

2:35:11

I can speak for myself.

2:35:13

And this is a lot to take in.

2:35:16

I have been in combat situations where there is knowns.

2:35:21

I've been in combat situations where there are unknowns.

2:35:25

This is not like anything I've ever experienced before with a group of

2:35:25

people

2:35:33

that I am unfamiliar with.

2:35:36

If I were to say that I could make a comfortable decision in a snap of a

2:35:36

finger,

2:35:44

I would be a liar.

2:35:47

Let us regroup.

2:35:50

Let us come to terms with our new fate and come back with a better

2:35:50

understanding

2:35:57

of what our future looks like.

2:36:00

Very wise statement.

2:36:02

I will do this then.

2:36:03

Take the identity veils as a gift and I will give you a one-use

2:36:03

communicator

2:36:12

that you can tell me where you would like to meet and I will have an

2:36:12

agent of myself

2:36:19

or a communication of some sort at that time.

2:36:25

Would that feel more comfortable as I would imagine

2:36:28

if I was framed for a murder I didn't commit,

2:36:32

I would be a bit unnerved as well?

2:36:35

Yeah, you're not...

2:36:37

The other neuronomy?

2:36:40

I still cannot...

2:36:51

I look at SPN,

2:36:55

I look at these newly earned,

2:36:59

respected peoples, and I say, this sounds like a good first step.

2:37:12

This sounds like a good first step. Are you willing to take it with me?

2:37:19

Well, I concur that we need some time to think about things because

2:37:23

the whole world just shifted in the matter of half an hour.

2:37:27

So I would like at least some time to appreciate what's going on and

2:37:27

maybe try

2:37:32

to find some information out.

2:37:34

But I don't see what choice I have.

2:37:42

They got us by the bull.

2:37:45

Yeah.

2:37:47

It's not like we...

2:37:48

I can't

2:37:49

I can't do anything in the open anymore.

2:37:53

And if they're not willing to erase the tapes,

2:37:55

then they're going to be placing our faces all over the space

2:37:55

television.

2:38:01

I guess what I'm trying to say is having a conversation in front

2:38:08

of insert name I just heard and completely forgot.

2:38:12

Marcel.

2:38:13

Does this no benefit either?

2:38:18

Let me say one thing before I let you go.

2:38:21

If you are worried about your previous identity,

2:38:27

the efforts that you have made for the preservation of the state,

2:38:31

the thing that you must truly solve is who worked to silence Marcel?

2:38:38

Because they are the ones who have blamed you.

2:38:41

If you can find that guilty party, you would also then find the evidence

2:38:41

of how they framed you.

2:38:47

and thus all your identities would be safe.

2:38:57

That is a good point.

2:39:01

I know I would be of very little help when it comes to investigations.

2:39:04

All I do know is that I want to, this is, yeah, no, I'm just, I am

2:39:04

absolutely livid.

2:39:12

I am in no state to be, I think we need the time.

2:39:16

Because right now,

2:39:17

I am in no state to be making any rational choices.

2:39:20

As was stated, we are held by the balls.

2:39:23

And all I want to do is kill everyone,

2:39:26

starting with the commissar and ending with whoever the fuck that person

2:39:26

is who

2:39:33

the commissar works for.

2:39:35

And maybe if it's this dolphin in between, sure, why not?

2:39:38

Fuck the dolphin.

2:39:42

This is where I'm at.

2:39:43

So I think we do need the time.

2:39:45

Because I'm not thinking rationally.

2:39:48

If I was thinking rationally,

2:39:49

I would say I need to clear my name so

2:39:51

that my two children are not completely fucked in military school.

2:39:55

You know?

2:39:56

This is the thing.

2:39:58

Two baby mamas, two children, it's fucked.

2:40:01

Yes.

2:40:02

They have bad time.

2:40:03

Yes.

2:40:04

So, I do think there's another thing I will leave you to ruminate on.

2:40:12

I will, if you're willing to do a certain job, I will give you the

2:40:12

unadulterated video

2:40:19

So when you are proving your case,

2:40:23

you at least have the video that shows you not shooting

2:40:28

that person.

2:40:36

I can appreciate that offer.

2:40:39

If you want to have your time to have that aspect, feel free.

2:40:45

The veils are in the box right there.

2:40:46

There is one of them for each of you.

2:40:48

They will last for approximately three cycles,

2:40:55

and no camera will recognize who you are,

2:40:59

and no security footage will be able to link it to your normal intent.

2:41:06

Okay.

2:41:07

This is, of course, very appreciated.

2:41:09

I know I just said I want to kill you a little bit, but I hope you can

2:41:09

appreciate why.

2:41:14

It's okay, he wants to kill everybody a little bit.

2:41:19

Yes, you know,

2:41:20

this seems to be a running theme with today,

2:41:23

so, you know, hopefully that'll fade away in time.

2:41:25

And then you are near Kiernan, I smack him in the back of the head.

2:41:30

Yeah.

2:41:32

Quit it.

2:41:35

Okay.

2:41:39

You can feel free to leave the way you came.

2:41:41

Take the vehicle as a gift while your identities are hidden.

2:41:48

Wherever you leave it, my agents will be able to find it.

2:41:56

Be safe.

2:41:59

Thank you.

2:42:00

Your efforts have been appreciated.

2:42:04

Of course.

2:42:08

Yes?

2:42:09

I thought you were done talking, sorry.

2:42:11

Oh no, it's fine.

2:42:12

No, go ahead, continue.

2:42:13

I was going to wait for her to get done talking.

2:42:15

I was just going to have the door closed, so that's why I'm going to let

2:42:15

you speak.

2:42:18

Oh, okay.

2:42:20

Okay.

2:42:21

Then, Zoe really is going to go.

2:42:23

First time in your life, completely felt hard around you, no fault to

2:42:23

your own guys?

2:42:31

Is this something that has happened to you often?

2:42:34

Yeah, Ray's backstory.

2:42:40

I do need a little bit of help.

2:42:42

It is the first session.

2:42:43

Who amongst the group said that?

2:42:46

Was it the chimpanzee?

2:42:47

Who said this?

2:42:48

Yes, the chimpanzee.

2:42:49

Oh, cool.

2:42:50

You're ignored.

2:42:50

We're probably getting videotaped right now, guys.

2:42:57

Oh, I feel bad.

2:43:00

Who is taking the communicator?

2:43:05

I am.

2:43:05

Okay.

2:43:07

Or I'm taking one.

2:43:09

There's only one.

2:43:09

Am I talking to you?

2:43:10

No, okay.

2:43:12

Now we can hear you, Cole.

2:43:15

Thank you.

2:43:18

If there's only the one, I don't need to take it.

2:43:20

I just thought there was more that we could all take.

2:43:22

No, you press the one button,

2:43:24

and basically you guys can speak for five minutes and transmit secretly

2:43:24

to them,

2:43:29

and then they can try to communicate back.

2:43:30

Because they have to make sure that if you just don't hand it to

2:43:30

SoulSec,

2:43:32

they track them down and kill them.

2:43:36

I'd leave it with Emma.

2:43:39

I'd allow it.

2:43:41

Especially since she's the one who started shooting.

2:43:44

I did start shooting.

2:43:47

You do easily have a warehouse that has been emptied that you are able

2:43:47

to

2:43:56

hide everyone out in.

2:43:58

That has a shower and some stored food.

2:44:02

Okay.

2:44:03

Yeah.

2:44:04

Oh, pardon me.

2:44:08

I would direct the cab car thing approximately to it,

2:44:13

but I wouldn't have it drive up to it,

2:44:15

and then I would just escort people walking to it.

2:44:21

Because I don't want the car to know where we are exactly.

2:44:23

It can know the area that we're in, because I'm presuming that Delphine

2:44:23

is monitoring the car.

2:44:28

Okay.

2:44:31

You park it at a parking lot, you walk five walks away, and then you

2:44:31

guys can go to the hideout.

2:44:37

Okay.

2:44:37

Yeah.

2:44:39

I'm just trying to think like a spy.

2:44:41

Right.

2:44:41

And I imagine everyone is putting on the masks before you walk out.

2:44:45

Yes, I am at least.

2:44:47

Okay.

2:44:48

As you put on the mask.

2:44:49

I put on a mask.

2:44:52

You just look like a new, different robot now.

2:44:54

You see a digitalization above you.

2:44:58

Everyone looks slightly different.

2:45:01

You are...

2:45:04

You have a similar kind of model,

2:45:06

but you are all just a bit different that no camera is going to

2:45:06

recognize you at

2:45:13

that identity.

2:45:21

Well, if we're all going to go our own ways and pull up resources,

2:45:26

perhaps we should meet back in, say,

2:45:29

three hours and come up with a game plan of what the heck we're all

2:45:29

going to do.

2:45:36

I can abide by that.

2:45:41

How about we go bottom to top on people, what they do in their three

2:45:41

hours?

2:45:48

We all good with that?

2:45:52

Sorry, I'm talking to myself, yes.

2:45:55

Okay, so Damien, what do you do in your three hours?

2:46:02

I am going to try to... Actually, I'll try to hack open the Ministers

2:46:02

pad.

2:46:10

Okay.

2:46:14

Give me a second.

2:46:16

Check out your hiding, your skills.

2:46:21

Go to computers.

2:46:23

Okay.

2:46:24

And the difficulty is very difficult.

2:46:27

So move it to 12 and do your roll.

2:46:30

Okay.

2:46:52

You did not succeed, and it says that you have

2:46:57

four more chances to access it before it wipes.

2:47:01

Okay, I'm going to leave it alone for now.

2:47:12

That takes you like 45 minutes.

2:47:17

I will leave it here, then spend the rest of the time...

2:47:22

Seeing if I think it's safe to go get the rest of my stuff wherever I

2:47:22

keep it.

2:47:26

Do you have any contacts or allies?

2:47:30

I have one contact and a bunch of enemies and rivals.

2:47:35

I would say if we can have your contact drop off your stuff.

2:47:38

Okay.

2:47:41

So.

2:47:43

They drop it off and you go and pick it up.

2:47:47

Oh, and you have Underworld Connections as your contact.

2:47:50

Yeah, they're very happy to pick that up.

2:47:51

You have two of them.

2:47:55

Yeah.

2:47:56

I would actually say you have contacts in the Jardin Syndicate.

2:48:00

The other problem is my rival is also in the criminal underworld.

2:48:07

It's four enemies.

2:48:09

They're a different gang.

2:48:10

People tried to kidnap me when I went into my legitimate career.

2:48:18

Yeah, so we're going to say the Jardin Syndicate are your allies and

2:48:22

the other people are your enemies.

2:48:24

Right.

2:48:26

So your contact in the Jardin Syndicate is like, yeah, I'll happily get

2:48:26

your stuff.

2:48:30

We'll pretend that we're part of a police cleanup crew and we're going

2:48:30

to go there

2:48:34

and we're going to get all your gear.

2:48:38

And they drop it off in a park so you can pick it up at your leisure.

2:48:42

Okay.

2:48:44

We're on Steinbach then.

2:48:47

I think I take a couple of credits that I've got in my pocket and I go

2:48:47

to

2:48:55

a restaurant down the building block from where I live,

2:49:03

post up there, grab a quick bite, check to see if anybody's watching my

2:49:03

place.

2:49:10

If no one's watching my place, or at least I don't track anyone watching

2:49:10

my

2:49:13

place.

2:49:14

I'll go in clean the pistol you know pack a bag with a couple of change

2:49:20

of clothes.

2:49:21

I don''t have tons of stuff Victor has been on hard times so he just got

2:49:21

some

2:49:27

basic housekeeping kind of thing to do and then he will be back to

2:49:30

Okay.

2:49:33

You go in,

2:49:35

and you're cleaning stuff up,

2:49:36

and you're moving things,

2:49:37

and then you realize,

2:49:39

like, your remotes are perfectly lined up, but you never do that.

2:49:49

Um...

2:49:52

I stop in the middle of the room when I see that, and, uh, say out loud,

2:49:52

uh,

2:50:01

I didn't shoot anybody.

2:50:02

I didn't do anything wrong.

2:50:05

And then I leave whatever clothes I was about to grab and walk back out

2:50:05

of the apartment.

2:50:11

Okay.

2:50:19

And then I spend what's left of my time losing any tails or trackers

2:50:19

that I've got

2:50:24

before meeting at wherever we agreed to rendezvous at.

2:50:30

Actually, we'll even do this.

2:50:39

You see the Social Solidarity guys tracking you, and you lose them.

2:50:46

Okay.

2:50:50

And just as a note, Social Solidarity and SoulSec are two different

2:50:50

things.

2:50:54

In Jardin's space,

2:50:56

Social Solidarity are local secret police,

2:51:01

while SoulSec is terrorism and external threats.

2:51:07

Gotcha.

2:51:08

Sort of in a state trooper versus CIA.

2:51:12

Yep.

2:51:12

FBI versus CIA.

2:51:15

I don't get those either, but you guys will help me later.

2:51:17

I'll understand.

2:51:18

Yeah.

2:51:19

Okay, we're on Allen now.

2:51:28

I have a contact who is in education, right?

2:51:35

My ally?

2:51:38

Yes.

2:51:41

I asked him to pick my stuff up, but I also asked him to bring me some

2:51:41

books.

2:51:50

On?

2:51:54

On navigation.

2:52:00

How many books can I have him bring?

2:52:02

I was going to think one.

2:52:05

Oh, okay.

2:52:10

He can bring you some star charts.

2:52:13

Yeah, some navigation.

2:52:16

So just one book?

2:52:18

Yeah, like, he's not going to bring you a library.

2:52:21

Okay, yeah.

2:52:24

Like, he'll get you access if you want to come to the university kind of

2:52:24

thing, but...

2:52:33

I mean, well, could I, like, download three books or something like

2:52:33

this?

2:52:40

I do not.

2:52:42

No.

2:52:43

Okay.

2:52:43

Okay.

2:52:45

Could he take me to the library where I could take three books?

2:52:55

I know this may sound silly.

2:52:56

Do you trust your library card?

2:53:01

Oh, shit.

2:53:03

Could it be on his?

2:53:06

Yeah, that's why he'll get you the book.

2:53:08

So you can say, I lost a book.

2:53:10

Okay, got it.

2:53:11

Yeah, let's do...

2:53:18

Does anyone in the group use Persuade?

2:53:21

I'm trying to fill a gap.

2:53:24

Start reading about something to fill.

2:53:28

We're all kind of doing stuff on our own though, aren't we?

2:53:33

Yeah, got it.

2:53:33

Navigation, just as you know, it's traveling on a planet.

2:53:39

Oh yeah, I'd like to do that then.

2:53:41

A book on that.

2:53:42

Okay, just want to make sure because Astrogation is traveling out of a

2:53:42

planet.

2:53:50

Oh, then a book on astrogation, then.

2:53:54

Okay.

2:53:54

So, you have a book so you can, in your weak down times, you can start

2:53:54

trying to learn skills.

2:54:01

Okay.

2:54:04

Anything else you want to do once you get your stuff in the book?

2:54:07

How long would that have taken?

2:54:10

You're not doing it.

2:54:11

You called a guy, is the thing.

2:54:13

Oh, yeah, yeah.

2:54:17

And he's grabbing all my stuff.

2:54:18

I don't know what there's really left to do.

2:54:21

Okay, that's fine.

2:54:23

You don't have to.

2:54:24

It's just I didn't want to lock you in a choice.

2:54:27

Yes.

2:54:27

Okay.

2:54:28

Sorry, guys.

2:54:32

I need a moment to breathe.

2:54:33

Okay.

2:54:38

Oh, goodness.

2:54:39

Okay.

2:54:41

So...

2:54:44

I want to pre-plan a possibility of getting to Miasma, which is a one

2:54:44

jump away from Jardin.

2:54:54

It is a relatively low-key possible jump destination where I'm hoping

2:55:02

that I would be able to utilize a corporate executive contact,

2:55:09

which is Keith Morris.

2:55:14

with the understanding that he's very,

2:55:18

he's highly influential in being able to get me where I need to go.

2:55:24

He's very positively inclined to assist me.

2:55:28

I probably did some amazing work for him as a bounty hunter and

2:55:34

so I'll be playing it off like, you know,

2:55:39

They have the wrong gal.

2:55:42

I don't know what the fuck's going on.

2:55:45

There's a lot of weird things I need to ask questions about.

2:55:49

I just don't want you to go too far.

2:55:50

Is he on Miasma or is he on Jardin?

2:55:55

He's on Jardin is what my understanding is and I want to get off of the

2:55:55

planet

2:56:00

and he's going to hopefully assist me in some plans to present to the

2:56:00

others of how

2:56:08

to get off the planet.

2:56:09

Okay, so what he's going to tell you when you communicate with him,

2:56:14

my problem of getting you off is you guys don't have passports or

2:56:14

identities

2:56:18

that you can use anymore.

2:56:22

So I could pay for you guys to be transported,

2:56:26

but you're going to have to go through passport control,

2:56:30

and I don't have access to a passport for you.

2:56:32

Okay, so sometimes the best answer is no, not right now.

2:56:40

That's fine.

2:56:41

And so I'd rather have tried to do that then.

2:56:45

Yeah.

2:56:46

He does say you're more likely to get out of Jardan by going to one of

2:56:53

the other planets inside Jardan that is less secure and then from there

2:56:53

try to jump

2:57:00

because if you jump from Jardan you have

2:57:02

to basically everyone gets passport control scanned there.

2:57:06

Right, so what I'm saying is that that's all the stuff that he's going

2:57:06

to do.

2:57:11

He'll figure that stuff out to eventually get us to miasma.

2:57:16

I'm not saying it has to be, oh, let's go jump directly to miasma.

2:57:20

It could be an inter, you know, system.

2:57:25

I'm not being clear, so I'm going to try to be clear as I possibly can.

2:57:29

He has no ability to do it.

2:57:31

He says, if you were to do these things, that is how he would do it.

2:57:37

Then I have nothing.

2:57:39

Okay.

2:57:41

He absolutely feels that because you don't have passports,

2:57:44

you guys will try to get some type of transportation to another planet

2:57:44

in

2:57:48

the Jardan system,

2:57:50

and thus it's going to be easier for you to jump to another place.

2:57:53

Or you guys go get face passports through someone, and then he can

2:57:53

easily get you transport off.

2:57:59

Okay.

2:58:08

You have nothing left behind because you...

2:58:19

Okay, Laura.

2:58:25

Okay, so I've been reading through my contacts.

2:58:27

I think I'd like to reach out to Sarah Gay's son.

2:58:31

who is a mid-tier smuggler but is oddly loyal to Emma provided she never

2:58:31

asks him

2:58:36

to portray family or front crew and I'd like to know more

2:58:40

about this Marcel Delphine guy because you said it was an area that I'd

2:58:40

never known

2:58:45

about I clearly was taken off guard by this guy like I'm not saying is

2:58:45

he on the up

2:58:51

and up because clearly he's not but like what I need to know more

2:58:55

about this guy I also need apparently to get my stuff so

2:59:01

First thing about basically the Jardin syndicate is they're

2:59:09

constantly doing actions

2:59:11

to support people who are less genetically pure.

2:59:14

And normally it's like,

2:59:17

let's say you're a mixed heritage but you really wanted to work in

2:59:17

politics,

2:59:23

they'll get you a fake genetic identity.

2:59:28

Okay.

2:59:28

and

2:59:30

the

2:59:31

They feel that there is some hinkiness even going down with the genetic

2:59:31

identities

2:59:39

to the point that a lot of the members feel that people who are

2:59:39

politically on

2:59:45

the outs, oh,

2:59:46

all of a sudden, you know, your grandson doesn't have a pure genetic

2:59:46

code anymore.

2:59:52

Interesting.

2:59:53

Okay.

2:59:54

No, they do.

2:59:55

Right.

2:59:58

They...

3:00:00

Do some terrorist activities,

3:00:02

but normally to stop propaganda and mind control stuff much more

3:00:08

than directly attacking the military.

3:00:12

Now,

3:00:14

your smuggler says that

3:00:20

the Jordan syndicate is unlikely to screw you over as long

3:00:25

as you're honest with them.

3:00:28

When you guys go back to being everything hunky-dory, they won't have

3:00:28

any association with you.

3:00:33

But while you're down and out, they're helpful to the down and out.

3:00:41

Now, your smuggler says that they can get you into...

3:00:50

There is the Transar Sector Exchange, which is in the south part of the

3:00:50

city.

3:00:57

And in the Transar Sector Exchange, it is an independent legal entity.

3:01:08

Okay, interesting.

3:01:11

It's almost like how you would imagine an empathy,

3:01:14

but it's because it's a corporation and not a Jordanian government.

3:01:21

Okay, okay.

3:01:24

They can get you smuggled in there.

3:01:28

If, let's say,

3:01:29

your veils are beginning to fail,

3:01:31

you theoretically aren't enemies of the state there, because it isn't

3:01:31

the state.

3:01:35

Right, it's kind of a neutral ground situation.

3:01:39

Right.

3:01:39

Almost embassy-like.

3:01:41

It's like a Macau-Hong Kong kind of vibe.

3:01:45

Yeah, it's an embassy-type situation where there's a smaller country

3:01:45

inside a bigger country.

3:01:50

Yes.

3:01:51

And Transar is a corporate identity.

3:01:53

And they do heavy shipping and production and shipbuilding and things

3:01:53

like that.

3:01:59

Okay.

3:01:59

Well, I'll definitely keep that in my pocket then.

3:02:02

Yeah.

3:02:08

And then you get your gear back, basically.

3:02:10

Okay.

3:02:11

Sweet.

3:02:13

And that's all I need.

3:02:15

The last thing, by the way, I would say that you also have a recording

3:02:15

of the Kill Them All.

3:02:23

Okay.

3:02:28

Because of all the other setup you have, I can't imagine you didn't

3:02:28

record that.

3:02:32

Right.

3:02:32

I'm pretty sure I probably didn't.

3:02:35

I mean, yeah.

3:02:37

Josh.

3:02:39

I would like to ask Seiji Maru if she'd like me to repair her from the

3:02:39

damage she took.

3:02:47

Oh, that would be greatly appreciated.

3:02:56

Okay, do you want me to roll a mechanics or a robot? What would I take?

3:02:56

Mechanics.

3:03:13

You absolutely patch her up.

3:03:15

Yay.

3:03:17

It was my ankles.

3:03:18

I have weak ankles.

3:03:21

So do I.

3:03:22

And I think that's it.

3:03:25

I think I'm kind of like,

3:03:26

let me focus on something tangible because I'm not a criminal and I

3:03:26

don't like this

3:03:32

at all.

3:03:32

And I'm done.

3:03:34

Okay.

3:03:37

On your portable computer, are you going to look up anything?

3:03:44

Um, I think my character has slightly less skill than me at a computer,

3:03:44

so no.

3:03:50

I'm likely to be tracked.

3:03:51

I think it's a bad, you know, fine.

3:03:52

I'll look at regular news then.

3:03:54

I feel like I'm likely to be tracked.

3:03:57

It's like not a great idea.

3:03:58

I don't know.

3:04:00

Okay.

3:04:00

You look up the regular news and you hear the news report about

3:04:05

a terrorist action done at the Hall of Continuity that Mercer was killed

3:04:14

by genetic half-breeds as they were going to be told

3:04:20

that their genetic identities were not secure.

3:04:25

And you see a completely fake news video of the ape throwing a grenade

3:04:25

at Mercer.

3:04:36

Oh my god.

3:04:40

Yeah.

3:04:44

You see you in fake news.

3:04:48

But I was upholding, you know,

3:04:52

The Empire, right?

3:04:54

I was doing good things?

3:04:55

No, like you were pumping your fists like down.

3:05:01

They don't have you shooting.

3:05:03

They definitely emphasize different people shooting.

3:05:07

That's good.

3:05:12

Oh, and they do have the hampered witness of the Commissar.

3:05:18

Absolutely!

3:05:19

They killed Mercer, and then they killed the entire unit of his

3:05:19

bodyguards.

3:05:27

Oh, jeez.

3:05:32

We're gonna get her later.

3:05:34

Okay, I'm done, I guess.

3:05:34

Okay.

3:05:39

Then we are on Peter.

3:05:43

So Peter actually wrote something in the chat,

3:05:47

because he's having problems staying—oops, that's the wrong—the wrong

3:05:47

description.

3:05:52

You're getting rained on, so this is where three hours is going to have

3:05:52

to go.

3:05:57

Karen goes upstairs and loads his own heavy gear into a safe spot with

3:05:57

Delphine,

3:06:03

my inventory,

3:06:05

but if it's a safer spot presents itself,

3:06:07

one of the party members will put it with them.

3:06:09

Does anyone want to help him hide his minigun?

3:06:15

Yeah, I'll help him hide his minigun.

3:06:22

Okay. Kolb, what would you like to do?

3:06:25

So first he contacts—because he's got a bunch of allies.

3:06:30

First he contacts his lover ally to collect his things and do a dead

3:06:30

drop

3:06:39

so they can collect it.

3:06:42

Then he contacts his gorilla's ally to

3:06:51

see about possible smuggles,

3:06:53

smuggling opportunities to either get themselves off or get supplies

3:06:53

onto the planet

3:07:00

for them.

3:07:02

So they say that they know of a broken ship boat that is sunk under the

3:07:02

water,

3:07:14

and if you got a naval thing out there, you'd be able to get off planet.

3:07:20

Excellent.

3:07:21

Okay.

3:07:22

And then he contacts his reporter, journalist ally.

3:07:28

who is a crusading investigative reporter to give him the scoop of

3:07:28

what's going

3:07:36

on his side and get assistance in investigating the means with which

3:07:42

to reveal their frame job.

3:07:47

Yeah.

3:07:47

So you're going to say that it's a frame job. They have all this

3:07:47

evidence and this and

3:07:53

that, but if you are saying that it is a frame

3:07:57

job, you should try to get someone

3:08:02

you trust in the Congress meeting on Friday

3:08:07

to see what they will say and who is going to talk

3:08:16

Okay, actually

3:08:17

Yeah, I have somebody that could probably feed me that information.

3:08:24

I've got my final ally that I'll contact to see if they can...

3:08:32

They're going to go on...

3:08:34

It's currently Wednesday, so they're going to go there on Friday and...

3:08:41

Excellent.

3:08:42

And... Yep.

3:08:45

I'll retrieve my stuff from the dead drop after I scope it out for a

3:08:45

while,

3:08:49

and then meet up with a gang, the Scooby gang at the Bistream machine.

3:08:55

Perfect.

3:08:56

And now,

3:08:56

Annette,

3:08:57

you have that you're building an AirTag for the Dolphin Communicator

3:09:01

to build tracing device and give it to Emma to stick into the

3:09:01

Communicator?

3:09:10

but I do want to make sure we don't lose it.

3:09:14

Okay.

3:09:15

You put it where you know where it is and then you hide it like in

3:09:18

a park like almost one of those things called a geotag.

3:09:25

Yeah, a geocache.

3:09:27

Yeah.

3:09:27

You geocache the communicator somewhere.

3:09:31

And I would imagine the rest of the, some of the time is you getting

3:09:31

repaired.

3:09:36

Yep, some of the time is me getting repaired.

3:09:38

And then there was shenanigans with lifting heavy things.

3:09:42

I can help with that too.

3:09:44

Okay.

3:09:46

You help lift the minigun and stuff.

3:09:48

Okay.

3:09:51

So, three hours in the guard, and you guys are all gradually making it

3:09:51

back to the hideout.

3:10:05

How did everybody do?

3:10:06

Everybody safe?

3:10:07

Nobody got tailed?

3:10:12

I had to lose some people tracking me.

3:10:17

I suggest we don't tally here too long.

3:10:23

It's about as bad as we thought.

3:10:26

Yeah, they're saying some bad stuff.

3:10:28

There's some pretty crazy videos.

3:10:30

They're saying we killed an entire squadron of people.

3:10:33

I'm not pleased.

3:10:34

I'm not pleased at all.

3:10:37

We did kill an entire squadron of people.

3:10:38

It's just in self-defense.

3:10:40

Yeah, that's not far from it.

3:10:41

Wasn't there like two or three guys?

3:10:45

Like four or five.

3:10:49

But we did get a whole smart guy's.

3:10:54

There's gonna be a, uh, uh, an internal hearing on Friday.

3:11:01

I've got, uh, ears on the inside listening for us.

3:11:04

And, uh, I've found, uh,

3:11:07

Information on a way for us to get off planet.

3:11:11

But it's going to take us acquiring a naval vessel.

3:11:20

What?

3:11:22

A boat.

3:11:23

We're going to need a boat.

3:11:25

I can ask in here.

3:11:31

Sorry.

3:11:33

I might know a guy that can help with that, but I'm going to have to

3:11:33

make a couple phone calls.

3:11:41

Let's not do that right now, but

3:11:45

you said something about a meeting

3:11:51

later this week?

3:11:52

Yeah, there's going to be a hearing on Friday in two days.

3:11:56

Like an internal conference about everything, so...

3:12:01

I've got ears on the inside that will feed us the information of what's

3:12:01

being said

3:12:06

and who the players are involved.

3:12:08

It might give us a clue as to who's the member of

3:12:15

the organization that's putting this pressure on us.

3:12:27

So as a heads up, I think we should just end in five.

3:12:30

Just because we're already at 1130.

3:12:34

Sounds good.

3:12:34

Yeah.

3:12:36

I don't have anything specific else.

3:12:45

So what I think we're going to... You guys have a few different

3:12:45

methodologies you guys can use.

3:12:50

You guys can try to prep to go to the...

3:12:58

TransStar legal safe zone where you guys can openly have conversations

3:13:04

with whoever you need to.

3:13:06

You guys can make a deal with the Dolphin.

3:13:10

You can try to get a boat,

3:13:13

basically a sub,

3:13:15

to go down and repair the ship boat that the smugglers know are in the

3:13:15

water and

3:13:22

the gorillas know are in the water.

3:13:26

And once you guys get off planet,

3:13:29

you have Carlos Contax to basically flood your way through the next jump

3:13:29

out.

3:13:36

Okay.

3:13:37

I dropped a comment in the chat too because I didn't want to take up

3:13:37

time.

3:13:43

Yes.

3:13:46

So the issue is all of your identities that you would acquire would be

3:13:46

recorded by SolSec.

3:13:54

Right, that's why they're Forge.

3:13:57

So you want to do it through criminal connections.

3:14:00

Right.

3:14:00

I mean, I guess if I can't make them be vaguely legitimate,

3:14:05

if that's going to be a problem, I need to find a solution around that

3:14:05

problem.

3:14:10

Right.

3:14:11

So a criminal organization you can go to to basically write up the code

3:14:11

in

3:14:16

the background to make the passports work.

3:14:19

Or you could try to bribe one of your sole set contacts

3:14:32

You can angle it either way to try to get new passports for people

3:14:37

if you're not trying to clear your guys' name and you're trying

3:14:41

to get new identities.

3:14:44

It's less that I want to do that right now and more that I wanted to

3:14:44

understand if

3:14:48

that was a possibility.

3:14:50

It is

3:14:52

It is a hard possibility because there are a lot of genetic markers,

3:14:56

but I'll give you an example.

3:15:00

You're going to get as good as a fake driver's license,

3:15:03

but you're not going to get anything as good as an American passport.

3:15:07

Okay.

3:15:08

You'll be able to get off planet with them, but it's not going to hide

3:15:08

you from your debts.

3:15:13

You guys are going to do a few jumps, someone's going to realize that's

3:15:13

not right kind of thing.

3:15:21

Does that make sense?

3:15:22

Yeah, that's fine.

3:15:24

That makes sense.

3:15:33

Next game,

3:15:34

we will start with the list of the things that people have in their

3:15:34

mind,

3:15:38

and if they want to talk to Dolphin Man, and it will be the next day.

3:15:45

Okay?

3:15:47

All right.

3:15:49

Sorry, Pat,

3:15:50

just to confirm so I can write it in the chat,

3:15:54

it was get a sub to repair the ship,

3:15:56

ally with the dolphins,

3:15:57

possibly forge documents or IDs, and it sounded like there's one other

3:15:57

item.

3:16:02

Two more.

3:16:03

You guys could go to the Corporation Government Free Zone,

3:16:11

and when you get...

3:16:14

Oh, you could try to clear your names and find out who screwed you.

3:16:21

And then Carla has contacts that basically once you guys get off planet,

3:16:25

they can get you moving once you get off Jardin, but they can't get you

3:16:25

off Jardin.

3:16:36

I just wanted to have a little note in the chat so we could all just

3:16:36

have

3:16:40

a refreshment point for next week or two weeks from now.

3:16:43

Yep.

3:16:45

And that's appreciated.

3:16:47

Thank you very much.

3:16:51

And one more thing.

3:16:52

I want to go copy link.

3:16:55

Totally forgot Bruce Campbell was in Burn Notice.

3:16:57

And we were just talking about Burn Notice the other day.

3:17:00

That's so funny.

3:17:02

Great show.

3:17:03

Oh, he's like the best part of Burn Notice.

3:17:06

It is.

3:17:06

I haven't seen it since it aired.

3:17:08

So, like, it's been a while.

3:17:09

That's fair.

3:17:10

I mean, you could also replace him with any, you know, sarcastic

3:17:10

Hawaiian shirt wearing bozo.

3:17:21

Quick fun fact,

3:17:23

they had to like nerf the tips they were giving out in Burnos in the

3:17:23

first season

3:17:27

because they were too accurate.

3:17:29

Like when he would tell you how to do something.

3:17:30

Oh, yeah.

3:17:34

It's like learning that the scientists on the crew for Breaking Bad

3:17:34

worked very hard

3:17:40

to make sure that nothing they made was accidentally even remotely near

3:17:40

a narcotic.

3:17:48

Yeah.

3:17:48

If you follow any rules in that, you get garbage.

3:17:55

Now, I put the link to the public wiki so you guys can click on the

3:17:55

locations,

3:18:01

you guys can think about what's going on,

3:18:02

you guys can read about the Jardin Syndicate and the data like that.

3:18:09

Thank you, Patrick.

3:18:11

Yeah, Aaron Paul and I can't believe Walter White's, I forgot Walter

3:18:11

White's actor's name.

3:18:18

Brian Cranston.

3:18:19

Yeah, Brian Cranston.

3:18:21

The DEA told him how
