Episode description

Back aboard the TSS Profondeur, the crew must prove their worth to Transstar by hunting suspected terrorists in the Crushed Trench. A perilous descent and a near-fatal pressure emergency lead them to a hidden community of clones, where familiar faces reveal unsettling truths about the price of a second life. As they uncover dwindling resources and a conspiracy to exploit stolen memories, the Travellers must decide whom to protect and whom to deceive. With explosives in hand and corporate scrutiny looming, they gamble on a cover story that could preserve both the settlement and their own freedom.

Hello, this is going to be Game 7 of Sparks of the Past, our Traveler game.

0:08

Last time, the session opened when the Parley had gotten their newly raised ship, the Volante.

0:17

They had finished dealing with all the water issues and all the pieces kind of getting upon it.

0:23

They decided to sell the damaged cargo to deal with the repairs.

0:28

And by getting Mercer basically rescued to this point,

0:34

they were given the code for Mercer's locked pad,

0:37

and they were able to open that up.

0:40

It greets the user as Senator Mercer,

0:43

and it leads you to a government AI with different silent accounts

0:48

for political figures.

0:50

They're able to read different pieces,

0:52

and they're able to find out that There was a draft of Mercer's committee speech

0:59

that was sent to a plan at Providence that Mercer was going to go to and speak

1:04

to them about certain things.

1:06

But instead of him going himself, he had sent one of his staff.

1:10

The day that the staff arrived was the day that Mercer was killed.

1:16

This person's name is the person we're going to go see is Mark Duncan.

1:22

And the woman's name was Camille Dufour.

1:26

There also is members of Social Solidarity that are trying to kind of get this information.

1:33

It seemed that Mercer was working with SolSec and that there was some kind

1:39

of conflict between them.

1:42

There also is now a greater understanding of the psychic element of what was going on.

1:47

MRSA's research connects changes that they were able to make psychic clones,

1:55

but it seems to create aspects that make them not genetically pure enough

2:01

to be leaders and political kind of people involved.

2:05

It also seems that there were finding methods to alter the DNA of either

2:12

the children of political figures or the political figures themselves.

2:15

So if a situation came up where they had to defend their genetics, they could not.

2:24

The players then decide to go to Mercer's house.

2:27

While they're there, there is a strong...

2:31

A group of home guard that starts fighting multiple members of the players.

2:37

They're able to eventually best them even though some of the players are nearly dead.

2:43

They're able to find five physical genetic comparison examples proving the changes

2:48

that are happening to them.

2:50

Some photos of suspected social solidarity opposition figures,

2:54

a hidden communicator, a laser pistol, and about 200,000 credits.

3:01

The team gets back to Transcar in their shredded uniforms and they decide

3:05

to do surgery on the wounded characters on the kitchen table of the apartment

3:10

that they have.

3:12

They have incredibly lucky successes,

3:16

but realizing that they can't just ditch Transcar right now and they have to go back

3:21

to work on Monday,

3:23

they patch up everyone else and make it to the docks to get back onto

3:27

the TSS profunder.

3:33

Any questions or concerns before we continue?

3:36

That was on our weekend, right?

3:38

Like, we didn't take time off of work.

3:40

Yeah, we just had a weekend bender of crime.

3:46

Yep.

3:48

Check, Jabber Jabber.

3:50

I've requested the link because I had to delete my cache and bookmarks.

3:57

The link for what?

3:58

The game?

4:00

Yes.

4:01

Oh, okay.

4:02

Yeah.

4:04

The link for the foundry, as I just wanted to clarify, not the wiki?

4:08

Correct, correct.

4:09

Okay, there's the foundry.

4:11

Thank you so much.

4:13

You're welcome.

4:15

So you guys go back.

4:17

You guys get on a transport boat that's going to take you out to meet the Profondor.

4:25

Takes you about an hour and a half.

4:27

You guys are still a little wheezy,

4:30

especially, I would say, Victor Mendez, who was well-ventilated yesterday.

4:40

That actually was going to be the question.

4:42

We did Is surgery enough to heal me?

4:45

Is there, like,

4:49

it feels to me like being shot in the chest and having surgery on

4:52

a kid table doesn't have me showing up the next day bright-eyed and bushy-tailed

4:57

at work.

4:59

Is there any kind of lasting injury or lasting status?

5:06

So I would say I wouldn't run too fast.

5:10

You literally have like medical foam in your wounds that are healing you.

5:16

I would say that you are currently wrapped up.

5:20

You have made a point that you don't have any pressure containment that

5:24

if you actually go under pressure, your body's going to explode.

5:28

But I think the best example would be like you Like, let's say you just had dental surgery.

5:34

Are you going to die tomorrow?

5:36

No, but you're not the happiest of campers.

5:42

You just had 45th century chest surgery.

5:52

So you all arrive at the boat and the TSS profunder rises out of the water

5:59

and opens up the hatch.

6:01

Captain Valancourt is on the top hatch and he's not looking like a happy guy.

6:09

Like he's unhappy at us or he's just unhappy?

6:13

Like is he giving us the parental stare down?

6:15

I think the parental stare down is a very exact way to say it.

6:19

It's not like he wants you dead, but he's disappointed.

6:25

I'm really disappointed in you.

6:27

So...

6:31

Morning, Captain.

6:34

He's like, we'll tackle in private.

6:39

Because he doesn't want... You guys are still there with the transport boat.

6:41

He doesn't want his... Teardown of you guys to be public.

6:47

So after everyone gets all their stuff on board and you are all aboard

6:54

the Profondor,

6:55

he gradually takes you to the crew's mess and he's there and all the other members

7:02

of the crew are still kind of keeping things running.

7:05

And he's like, so we need to have a little bit of a clarifying conversation.

7:17

Let's start with the amount of liberties that you feel you have with Transdar.

7:25

And it's not that you guys don't have some liberties.

7:29

Let's just start a list.

7:32

And he stands up and he goes to a whiteboard.

7:35

Oh my gosh, what is this guy up to?

7:40

You kidnapped Slash...

7:45

Rescued, it's all perspective, you know, a genetic replication of a killed

7:53

political figure.

7:56

You

7:59

liberated slash stole

8:04

a undersea cargo vessel,

8:09

sold all the parts that you needed to and are currently have it repaired,

8:13

In Transtar Docs, you,

8:21

while being wanted criminals,

8:25

decide to go kill a group of Home Guard units

8:34

and then come back here to

8:37

a Transtar day.

8:43

It was a Sunday.

8:45

It was a Saturday.

8:47

But, I mean, they shot us first.

8:51

So, you are wanted criminals.

9:01

We are retrieving data from the gentleman who asked us to transport him when we were attacked.

9:08

You notice I'm not putting on the whiteboard you randomly hiding a political

9:15

clone on my ship.

9:19

He's a refugee.

9:22

Refugee.

9:26

We did save him.

9:29

Now that we have all these problems,

9:32

let's talk about how we're going to have a trans to our day.

9:37

Now, Transtar is very understanding that people need to let off a little steam and

9:47

a few quarts of blood.

9:50

But people are allowed to have their

9:54

excesses with results.

9:59

And I've been sent communication of,

10:02

well, these particular events These members of my crew are doing.

10:09

What have they brought forth to Transtar?

10:12

And I have to say, I'll get back

10:14

to you.

10:16

And it doesn't look good for me.

10:20

So

10:23

we've been asked to do something in the

10:27

greater term of asked

10:30

to basically convince Transtar you're valuable enough to keep on as employees.

10:36

And not having to do Jarderian

10:39

military right away.

10:46

Hey, I always look forward to having a Transtar day.

10:50

I'm glad.

10:52

I'm glad you're looking for a Transtar day because I want us all to have a Transtar day.

10:59

So while you were gone, they have placed a mini sub Inside the Profondor.

11:08

And this mini-sub has

11:15

greater reinforcement and less displaced pressure to be able

11:20

to go deeper than the Profondor can.

11:28

TransStar administrators would like you to investigate and find If not eliminate

11:35

the terrorist cells that are currently hiding in the chasm.

11:41

The Profounder cannot get deep enough to where their bases are, but you guys going, yes.

11:47

In the crushed trench?

11:49

Yes.

11:50

Or in the kelp forest?

11:51

Okay.

11:52

The trench.

11:54

Okay.

11:55

Love that.

11:58

The other problem is All of you will have to do your own piloting navigation

12:03

because we need to man the profondor.

12:08

But it also means any successes you get will be directly awarded to you

12:15

and thus make

12:15

them forget the whiteboard.

12:26

I understand.

12:31

Does anyone have any difficulties with this plan?

12:42

Great.

12:45

On the lower deck in the observation nose, there is the attached travel sub.

12:51

When we get close enough to The chasm, you can all go there.

12:57

And from there, there is radio controls that will flood and open up that area for you to go out.

13:07

I do have an added character question.

13:10

How did he know this when we weren't exactly telling anyone we were doing any things?

13:16

Well, you guys did tell him that you're hiding this guy on board.

13:21

Right, that's one thing out of the, like, ten we did.

13:26

Well, he was there when he dropped you off to go pick up the ship.

13:33

He was there for that.

13:34

Yeah, those two parts, like, clearly understand how they would know.

13:39

The only thing that he basically got from Home Guard is

13:45

when you guys murdered Home Guard guys who had...

13:58

It's the only thing he wasn't at.

14:03

I get you.

14:06

So, that kind of...

14:09

It seems a little crazy, but this guy literally has been all your transportation underwater.

14:14

I guess.

14:14

Okay.

14:16

I just...

14:16

I don't know.

14:17

I thought we were being a little more...

14:19

I don't want to say secretive, but careful.

14:25

You trusted him, and he hasn't ratted you guys out or screwed you guys over.

14:33

In the grand scheme of things, he's trying to find a way for you guys to

14:37

not be in trouble.

14:47

Oh, all right.

14:48

A teen can be a good guy then.

14:52

Yeah.

14:53

And if you think about it,

14:56

like you guys have done some pretty high jinky stuff

14:58

and you guys have no new identities.

15:00

You guys don't have veils.

15:02

You guys literally dropped the ship off to go get repaired.

15:08

It's you guys have been pretty much on the up and up and not underwater criminals

15:14

because no one wants to be a criminal.

15:17

Let alone an underwater one.

15:18

Exactly.

15:21

Something applicating.

15:23

Yeah.

15:24

We're more of on-land criminals, not underwater criminals.

15:28

Right?

15:29

Exactly.

15:32

But... You know, the biggest problem about being an underwater criminal is all the pressure.

15:39

Oh my god.

15:42

I approve of... How dare...

15:50

So I'm sorry.

15:51

I'm sorry, Laura.

15:52

It just means that your heart sunk there a little.

15:57

Oh, sorry, Kat.

15:59

Well, and you always like, what are you going to do with bad guys?

16:02

You can't have them swim with the fishes.

16:13

He is like,

16:14

do you guys feel safe enough to enter some type of combat scenario if you are going

16:21

to be dealing with these terrorist people?

16:29

I know we have the underwater suits.

16:32

Are they armored to a point where they could take a shot if we get hit with them?

16:38

Or...

16:41

Define a shot.

16:43

A bullet shot underwater is remarkably not very piercing.

16:51

Fair enough.

16:51

I guess I'm imagining if we have to go and take them out,

16:57

if there is an underwater base,

16:58

we would then be fighting underwater but in pressurized air in the base.

17:06

Unless, does this have weapons on it?

17:11

We have a, the torpedo team has been exhausted.

17:14

You guys remember that that was one of the plot points.

17:17

No, the sub, the one that we're going to be getting into.

17:23

No, it barely has enough space for all of you guys to be in there in suits.

17:28

We imagine they have to have some type of resting,

17:32

rebuilding location because not everyone who fights is a dolphin.

17:38

Well, this will be tough.

17:39

But I don't want this relationship wrecked.

17:43

Oh my god, why are you joining in?

17:47

What is happening?

17:51

He smiles at your bit,

17:54

and he's like,

17:56

I understand that many of your more combative members,

18:01

though, are still on chore recuperating or

18:07

their batteries didn't activate.

18:16

Well, if we find one of their bases and this sub has arms,

18:21

why can't we put a little plastique on the outside of their base?

18:26

That way it's not missiles, it's alternative solutions.

18:33

I could get you a few mining explosives, if that would be helpful.

18:38

I know personally,

18:39

if I was in something that small,

18:40

I wouldn't want to be with something that blows up.

18:47

That is an excellent point.

18:49

There's also the concern,

18:50

you know,

18:50

if we take it out of it and we go to plant it and,

18:54

you know, we're under incredible pressure, the explosives can be unstable.

19:01

What would be the accuracy of dropping these mining explosives from

19:06

a DEF that

19:07

the larger sub is?

19:11

You know, use them as DEF charges.

19:13

Zero.

19:15

Okay, thank you.

19:18

It literally is like trying to drop like a feather from the Empire State Building

19:25

and expecting it will land on a cabin.

19:30

Because the currents would move it and it's very far down.

19:38

There is a drone attached to the micro sub.

19:44

So you guys can do some exploring without it necessarily involving you directly.

19:54

And because you're going to be under the pressure,

19:57

the same thing as the Profunder,

19:59

if there is some type of emergency,

20:01

you can just attempt to rise out of the chasm and we will be there to rescue you.

20:09

So this sounds like this will take several days to be a multi-part

20:15

We need to scout the area, recon, find out where they are exactly.

20:25

Might take several trips out in the Microsoft.

20:28

Exactly.

20:34

We know that when we send sonar signals down in the chasm that

20:41

There seems to be archways or tunnels inside the chasm that we can't hear or see into.

20:51

Oh, exciting.

20:55

Tunnels.

20:57

Underwater tunnels.

21:02

Is there any other gear I could possibly provide to help out?

21:13

I can't think of anything at this time.

21:16

Nor can I.

21:18

From the sub,

21:19

you should be able to maintain communication with us as long as you are not

21:26

in

21:27

a tunnel.

21:33

So we will try to maintain any communication we can.

21:35

And if you are having difficulties, we will do our best to help out.

21:44

One question for you, good captain.

21:48

I

21:50

understand our goal in the coming days is to show our value to TransStar.

21:57

I think everybody at this table is understanding of that.

22:02

What's TransStar's value out of the terrorists being eliminated?

22:09

Is it just local stability or...

22:13

Is there something deeper as well?

22:16

Well,

22:17

Transtar has made a lot of their money off of these underwater bases where labs

22:23

and experiments have been done that the terrorists have destroyed

22:27

as you rescued your friend from.

22:30

Ah.

22:32

We are losing financial aspects in the fact that we cannot maintain these labs and

22:40

the transport necessary to them.

22:42

If they find such difficulty in being here, maybe they'll start building floating sky bases.

22:48

So it is advantageous for us to have them here.

22:52

Gotcha.

22:53

So we are aggressively protecting financial assets.

22:56

Yes.

23:03

Great.

23:04

Thank you.

23:06

I'll let you all kind of sit and organize on who is going to be doing what on the microphone.

23:13

And I will start getting us towards the chasm.

23:21

So he leaves the room.

23:30

That could have gone better.

23:33

Could have gone worse.

23:35

I suppose it could have gone worse, but definitely could have gone better.

23:48

All right, we need a crew for this mini sub.

23:52

Is it supposed to be all of us going?

23:54

He said each of us have to individually pilot.

23:59

He's basically implying that if as many of you can,

24:03

should go,

24:04

because if you do find this underwater base,

24:06

you're all going to want to get off and do whatever you can there.

24:09

Well, how many of us can fit into this thing?

24:12

Eight.

24:13

Okay.

24:15

How many of us are here tonight?

24:18

All right.

24:18

So what is piling this up?

24:21

What pilots could require?

24:24

I would say, ideally, if you have a small craft, you could do it.

24:29

If you don't have small craft,

24:31

I will let people do it with a... Well, you should have vehicle underwater.

24:37

If you don't have vehicle underwater and you don't have naval,

24:40

I'll let people do it with spacecraft small craft with a negative one.

24:47

That is not it from me.

24:50

You have a spacecraft of one, so...

24:54

Yeah, I think it's Alan that has, like, where is he?

24:59

There he is.

25:01

Yeah, and I have a spacecraft of one as well.

25:04

I have a big number in astro navigation, but I doubt that'll help with undersea navigating.

25:11

Alan only has a small craft of one as well, I thought.

25:14

He has a spacecraft of three, though, so he could fly in space very well.

25:21

Um...

25:22

Yeah, my biggest naval tactics.

25:26

Yeah, I was just about to say I've got naval tactics as well,

25:28

but

25:31

in the past we've had that as space naval.

25:34

It is space naval.

25:36

Oh, well, but can the naval tactics inspire someone to be a better underwater pilot?

25:42

No, that is leadership.

25:44

Right, that's what I'm saying.

25:45

Can they do that?

25:47

Well, you get a Boone Bane, but it doesn't help the number.

25:52

Well, it helps it a little bit

25:53

if it's a boon.

25:56

They get to roll it twice and take the best.

25:58

Great, that's helping.

26:01

That's helping.

26:04

It's helping.

26:05

It never hurts.

26:09

Josh, Laura, and...

26:13

Mine's the

26:13

same as everybody else's,

26:14

yeah.

26:18

Josh and Laura, I think, are the only people that have spacecraft at all.

26:24

I have spacecraft at one.

26:26

Okay, so Josh, Laura, Steinbach, all can do it.

26:28

So then we're looking at who has the highest intelligence bonus.

26:33

Oh, it's intelligence, not dex?

26:35

Interesting.

26:36

This is intelligence.

26:37

You guys have never done it before.

26:40

I've got plus two off of int.

26:43

I have a plus two.

26:44

This is where I really want the plus one chip, because a plus one chip puts me at a plus three.

26:51

Yeah, but plus one chips are ludicrously expensive.

26:55

A plus two chip was ludicrously expensive, and

26:58

a plus one is not so much.

27:03

That's all right.

27:05

So yeah, all of you guys can roll that basically.

27:08

So you could,

27:09

the one who has a good leadership should probably

27:12

then leadership someone who's going to roll.

27:14

You definitely are going to want someone to be checking the sensors

27:20

and probably someone to maintain the comm communications because if shit goes down,

27:24

you want to be able to still call back home.

27:26

Okay, I can do comms.

27:28

I maybe can do sensors.

27:31

I have a plus one on sensors.

27:33

I have a plus one on sensors as well, and I have a two on comms.

27:37

I guess I'm doing the boat because I don't have either

27:42

of those.

27:43

I was going to say,

27:45

could maybe cold leadership, Josh, and then Laura and I handle comms and sensors?

27:53

Well, why doesn't he do a leadership?

27:54

And if he gets enough, he can give leadership to everybody.

27:59

No, it's only one person.

28:01

Oh, I thought it was her success was her person got a boon.

28:05

No, so the way leadership is in the book is you initiate a leadership and you pick

28:13

the task you're leadershiping and then you can give that many successes,

28:18

that many retries to the person trying that thing.

28:20

Now, what you're thinking of, let's say we're all doing the same thing.

28:26

One leadership can affect all of us.

28:29

Okay.

28:30

So we're all fighting when leadership affects all of us.

28:33

We're all controlling the ship when leadership affects all of us.

28:38

But if one guy is trying to do a weapon console and one guy is trying to do

28:41

a flying console, it doesn't affect both of you.

28:49

Wow, it's been 28 days since we played.

28:52

That's crazy.

28:55

That's what Cole said.

28:57

Almost a month.

29:00

High holidays.

29:02

Far too long.

29:03

Yes.

29:03

All right.

29:04

So who, which one shall leadership, shall leadership?

29:07

You want to leadership Josh?

29:09

Because you crash.

29:10

Hopefully he doesn't crash you and kill everybody.

29:15

We're going to reroll characters tonight, guys.

29:17

Well, Dan,

29:19

I know this isn't something that you've,

29:21

you've done specifically before, but you have, you know, a lifetime of experience.

29:27

And a wealth of knowledge.

29:29

And I have faith that you'll do a great job.

29:36

Well, yeah, I prefer fixing the ship.

29:39

But here's hoping that I can ride.

29:41

Here's hoping and drive without needing to fix the ship.

29:44

Here's hoping.

29:45

The next fly things, the next three, you have boons, Josh.

29:50

Okay.

29:50

Should I be rolling now?

29:51

Yes.

29:53

Boom, public.

29:58

Those are terrible rolls.

30:00

That was a terrible roll, Nick.

30:03

You skid up against the side, but you don't have a critical failure.

30:08

I'm going to get a hang of it, guys.

30:11

Don't worry.

30:13

It can only go off from here.

30:15

It rolled your dex.

30:16

If it's supposed to be intelligence, it rolled your dex.

30:18

Oh, you're right.

30:18

That was not supposed to be the roll.

30:20

You're right.

30:21

It should actually roll better.

30:22

I mean, it kind of doesn't...

30:23

I mean, your intelligence is plus two as well, right?

30:25

It's the same as your dex.

30:26

Yeah.

30:27

Yeah.

30:28

No, listen, that's cheating.

30:33

It's actually kind of the opposite

30:34

of cheating.

30:40

So everything has become dusty.

30:42

Can someone give me a sensor roll since he scraped the side of the wall

30:45

and you guys can't see anymore?

30:46

That's Victor.

30:48

Yep, I got sensor intelligence as the base.

30:55

There we go.

30:56

Perfect.

30:57

You're able to make a pin coordination,

31:00

and you do sense that there is moving targets about,

31:08

I'd say, 1,200 feet down.

31:09

I

31:12

will alert the team that there are

31:19

fishes in the water, possible incoming.

31:23

Laura, are you going to send this data back right away?

31:28

If I do, will the opposition hear it as well?

31:32

Only if you fail your roll.

31:34

Only if I fail my roll.

31:38

Hey, there's Alan, and there's like a picture of Alan.

31:44

I will...

31:45

It's the Alan show.

31:47

I'll roll my comms.

31:52

No whammy, no whammy, no whammy.

31:54

Yes.

31:55

So, yes.

31:55

Sorry.

31:56

I meant to say that, yes, I was going to send it right away.

31:59

Okay.

32:00

Because I want to make sure that if we call for help,

32:02

that they are understanding of the situation.

32:05

Okay.

32:07

Now, Josh,

32:08

do you wish to,

32:09

now that you've regained stable control, do you wish to

32:15

hand the pilot to Alex?

32:23

It is a good question, right?

32:30

Because, like, again, Alan's role is, like, two better on the role, right?

32:34

Not for Smallcraft.

32:36

No, but I said you mean minus one of Spacecraft.

32:40

Oh, yeah, he has three in Spacecraft.

32:42

So he's giving me two Spacecraft and one actually they're about even

32:49

because he also is losing one on Intelligence.

32:53

All right, well, here, bring Alan up at speed.

32:55

So we apparently got super busted for all the stuff that we did last session,

33:01

like going to the guy's,

33:02

well, jailbreaking the guy, going to his house, getting in a firefight.

33:08

Transstar somehow, well, not somehow, but they know all of that.

33:13

So they are giving us essentially a...

33:18

They came at us first.

33:20

We tried that argument, but they didn't want to buy it.

33:23

So we have to essentially prove ourselves to Transtar that we're valuable.

33:29

So they gave us this heavy-duty mini-sub to go down into,

33:34

if you're looking at the map, what the heck was it called?

33:38

It's the Crush Trench.

33:40

To find the terrorists.

33:42

Because that's where they've been hiding.

33:44

And not only is it super deep.

33:46

But there are cave systems underneath here too.

33:49

And Dan slash Josh was driving.

33:56

Victor is doing sensors.

33:58

And then I'm doing comms.

34:01

And the vessel can hold up to eight.

34:03

So we're all here.

34:05

Including you now.

34:06

You just kind of.

34:08

The math is still probably better for Josh because of the next two leadership roles.

34:14

Oh, that's true.

34:15

Those aren't transferable.

34:17

No.

34:17

So Josh should probably roll again.

34:19

But the question is, Josh, do you want to go towards the targets or try to lure them away?

34:27

Who's the captain?

34:28

I don't know.

34:29

Is that Laura?

34:30

Laura, captain.

34:30

What are we doing?

34:32

I am not the captain, actually.

34:34

Who's the captain?

34:36

He's on the profile of Earth.

34:39

I mean, listen,

34:39

if you all want me to be the captain,

34:40

I'm happy to do it, but I always felt like one of you... You're the pilot.

34:45

I want to be the pilot.

34:47

Okay, we're going towards it.

34:48

Let's go.

34:49

Nobody has any opinions.

34:51

We're doing it.

34:52

Roll that bean for this.

34:53

Let's fuck them up.

34:54

That's my... Intelligence

34:55

this time.

34:57

And a boom.

35:01

There we go.

35:03

Wow.

35:04

Okay.

35:05

Like the polar opposite of last time.

35:07

You were able to do two choices, I'll give you, because that was such a great roll.

35:14

One, you could spin around them and come from behind.

35:21

Or you can get past them with them thinking that you're still in the cloud of the dust you hit.

35:30

What weapons do we have?

35:32

You have two arms.

35:34

We don't have weapons.

35:36

We have a bunch of guns inside the ship.

35:38

You guys could jump out of the ship.

35:41

Wait, wait.

35:43

So are we trying to find terrorists within the wind?

35:49

Ram them.

35:52

Ram them.

35:52

Yeah, we're scouting here.

35:54

We're scouting.

35:55

Yes.

35:56

You could ram them.

35:57

You are in an object that has mass...

36:01

Well, I'm going to say with an 11, you can't do much better ramming someone than with an 11.

36:08

Right, but there's more of them than there are of us, and so then they'll just call for backup.

36:13

I suggest moving past them.

36:17

Now you will have opinions, huh?

36:18

Now you will have opinions when I'm about to breach the submarine, huh?

36:22

Now they have options.

36:23

We should sneak on past them.

36:26

Yeah, now that you're getting ready to do something dumb,

36:32

then I have a thing.

36:33

Oh, you like to breathe air or something?

36:35

Okay, okay.

36:37

We're mouth breathers.

36:39

All of us are mouth breathers.

36:41

Because you are the pilot, you are the final choice in this action.

36:44

So I wasn't actually going to ram the person,

36:48

but I guess we have a consensus on don't do something which could lead

36:53

to instantaneously death.

36:56

But the important thing is that now that Alan's here, he can re-roll a character also.

37:01

It's true.

37:04

So I will try and make it so that they think we're still behind them and we got out

37:08

and they didn't realize we're there.

37:10

Okay, so you're making them think that you're in the dust

37:12

cloud while you get passed.

37:14

Can I get a sensor roll?

37:17

Absolutely.

37:19

So you guys can see what you were passing.

37:22

Coming right up.

37:23

We all don't want to go for Gusto.

37:26

Great roll.

37:27

Yeah.

37:28

I had two good rolls tonight.

37:29

That means the rest of it we were going to suck.

37:31

Sorry, guys.

37:31

No, no, no.

37:33

No, this isn't the previous campaign.

37:36

You have a brand new luck.

37:37

You've been rolling really well this campaign, actually.

37:40

Yeah, I'm with him on that.

37:42

Like, no, you gotta buy into the positivity.

37:47

Well, you did roll great.

37:49

And so there are two dolphins and there are three humanoids

37:57

in basically jet-powered kind of skiffs.

38:02

Which basically let them keep up to the dolphins.

38:08

Do they seem to be moving in our direction or are they just kind of on a standard patrol?

38:16

They are going directly to where Josh

38:18

hit the wall.

38:19

Aha.

38:22

Because it made a lot of noise.

38:24

So they're like, they're going that way.

38:30

So you guys got past him.

38:33

You guys can successfully kind of keep away.

38:36

They're going to keep thinking you guys are hiding in the dust pile.

38:41

And you guys keep going down a little farther.

38:45

There's some creaking.

38:48

And I would say that you're sensing that you see some moisture on some of the bolts.

38:58

The last one

38:59

was more damaging than I thought.

39:02

The Deep Horizon,

39:04

whatever those rich people got exploded in and they were driving it with

39:08

a PlayStation controller.

39:10

Yeah.

39:19

It was called Ocean's Gate.

39:22

Ocean's Gate.

39:23

I couldn't remember if that was the name of the ship or the name of the company.

39:27

The name of the company is called Titan.

39:30

Oh, guys, where do you think we should go?

39:32

Should we go back?

39:33

Maybe also because we're mildly leaking?

39:38

And also... Can we patch it up?

39:42

I mean, if someone else wants to drive, I

39:43

can probably

39:43

patch

39:44

it up.

39:46

You are also... We don't need to roleplay it, but all of you guys are talking on helium.

39:51

Okay, wait.

39:56

This is my favorite part of the game.

40:00

Oh my gosh, that's amazing.

40:02

Because you guys can't lose oxygen at these places.

40:06

Wait, why are we not on oxygen?

40:09

So oxygen, when you get to this level of pressure, oxygen can't actually go through your lungs.

40:18

Your body can't actually absorb it.

40:21

It's too pressurized.

40:22

So they cut it with helium.

40:26

And helium basically goes in between the oxygen molecules so they stay fluffy,

40:32

basically, and your lungs can absorb it.

40:35

But yes, everyone does sound like they're on helium.

40:41

If you want to look up some conversations about this,

40:43

people who actually have to do deep sea welding work, they're this way for months.

40:49

We're at the level of no one promised you good life.

40:53

And they talk about how they just...

40:56

They talk about how their mind begins to actually translate it to sound normal.

41:02

Because if all of a sudden everything you heard would be this way,

41:06

your body would gradually begin to kind of be like,

41:09

that's not the way things should sound.

41:10

It would switch.

41:12

Are we playing these guys?

41:13

What do we decide?

41:15

I just want you to know that that's happening.

41:17

You guys are not massively knowledgeable of the undersea, so you might note it.

41:22

But I don't want people to have to squeak for literally the rest of the game.

41:26

Yeah, I'd rather not squeak.

41:28

Except for Alan.

41:29

Alan has to.

41:30

That's one for and one against.

41:33

What does it say the rest of the game?

41:36

I

41:38

know Steinbach obviously wants the opportunity to talk like Helium for the rest of the game.

41:44

I mean, I could, but...

41:47

I will avoid that.

41:49

I'm happy to take over the pilot, Earl.

41:57

Josh has one more leadership and then you can definitely.

41:59

I was going to say, I don't remember where he is on that.

42:01

He has one more.

42:02

Okay.

42:03

So, um, Josh, it's your choice.

42:06

Uh, yes, it's, but you guys are much deeper than the profound dirt can go.

42:11

So there's going to be some leaks and some creaks, but, um, do you

42:17

want to keep going down?

42:22

What do you think guys?

42:24

I would like to take a string from one side of the sub to the other so that

42:31

as we compress down, we can see the string begin to dip.

42:37

Good idea.

42:39

What's the advantage to that?

42:41

Well, you instantly know.

42:56

Can we find one of these caves that's relatively close so that we can take a moment

43:01

to pause and see what condition the ship is in?

43:06

I can definitely say that a pilot role could try to get you into one of the caves.

43:10

Okay.

43:12

Okay.

43:12

I can't see how this could go poorly.

43:15

No, it'll be great.

43:16

You have to have faith.

43:17

See, look at that.

43:18

Boom.

43:20

Let's go, Grandstar.

43:22

So, Josh, you are in the deep depths.

43:28

I do need Laura to see if she can maintain communication before you get under

43:31

to give the update of we're going into a cave.

43:34

Okay.

43:35

I do need...

43:36

I'm going to let them...

43:38

Sorry.

43:38

Go ahead.

43:39

So I want Lord roll comms.

43:42

I want Steinbeck to roll censors.

43:44

I will tell them, though,

43:45

that we've taken some damage and we're assessing it so that they're up to date

43:50

on what we're doing, not just that.

43:51

By the way, we're going to cave BBF.

43:54

You also want to tell them that we found criminals?

43:56

Yeah, I already did that part.

43:59

That was the first message.

44:01

Okay.

44:03

And perfect.

44:06

I'm actually with that perfect roll.

44:09

As long as you guys don't go too deep in the caves,

44:13

you're placing a repeater at the edge of the first cave you go to.

44:18

I'm so good at talking, guys.

44:21

Talking over radios.

44:26

There are three caves that you're seeing with the sensors.

44:30

One of them is about...

44:38

The doorway of it is about,

44:43

I would say, like a football field goal.

44:52

As far as distance?

44:53

As far as the width of the hole.

44:56

Yeah, okay.

44:59

I would say the second hole is about the size of a...

45:08

I'd say like a minibus.

45:13

And the third hole is about

45:17

the size of,

45:21

would say like a sliding glass window.

45:24

You barely saw it.

45:27

Okay.

45:29

So that one, maybe our mini sub could go into the big one.

45:35

Our whole sub could go into maybe what are the dimensions of our sub versus the second opening?

45:48

The thing is, it's more difficult rolls to not hit things on each one.

45:53

Right.

45:53

OK, I just I want to make sure it was even possible for us to go in.

45:57

So the smallest one that's like the double doors,

46:00

you're likely to park outside, get in your suits and walk in.

46:04

OK, I was thinking that secondary mini sub that they gave us that was attached to

46:10

the small sub we're in.

46:12

The heavy duty sub we're in.

46:14

Right.

46:15

You mean the drone?

46:16

Oh, the drone.

46:17

Are you asking about the drone?

46:18

Yes.

46:19

Yes, the drone for the smallest was my assumption.

46:22

But I figured we could get in the big one.

46:25

It was the middle one that I was trying to verify whether we could go in or whether

46:29

that would have to be a drone or a walk.

46:32

Honestly, the drone is about the size of Bluebell.

46:34

Like, you literally can put it anywhere.

46:38

Okay.

46:39

I love how Bluebell is a unit of measurement now.

46:42

Yes.

46:44

If you saw Hunt for Red October,

46:47

the ship you're in is basically the rescue sub that they connected to

46:52

the Red October.

46:56

I have remote ops if you'll

46:59

need someone to do that.

47:03

Here's the big pieces I would like to kind of note, though.

47:06

The smallest one,

47:06

you guys are definitely parking outside and walking in the hole,

47:09

which means you can't really look at the ship.

47:13

Like you can't be like, oh, I'm going to go well to repair whatever.

47:17

The second one is going to be a difficult role to get to get the ship in.

47:21

But when you get the ship in, you might find an air pocket.

47:23

You might find something.

47:25

You might be able to start working on the ship if you're worried about repairs.

47:29

The top one, it's it's a big hole.

47:32

Like, honestly,

47:33

if you don't get a negative on the role,

47:35

you guys are going to be able to pilot it and find.

47:40

I think the second option, I'm happy to try it.

47:49

I mean, sure.

47:50

All right, I support our new pilot.

47:53

And, you know, go get in the remote ops chair there, Josh.

48:03

Josh to the mute.

48:04

Okay, so are you going to want to look at it with the drone first or are you just going

48:08

to want to go in?

48:10

We should look with the drone first.

48:12

Definitely look for it.

48:14

So I just want to note that I feel like now that Alan is sober and is driving,

48:18

that you will push me to the side a little fast.

48:21

Just because I almost killed us doesn't mean I'm not hurt.

48:25

We need your drone driving skills

48:28

before you've actually been promoted here.

48:31

Yeah.

48:34

Cass, that's some good leadership right there.

48:35

I like it.

48:36

I like it a lot.

48:37

Okay.

48:38

So can you give me a remote ops, Josh?

48:40

Is that going to be intelligence?

48:42

No, right.

48:42

It's already intelligence.

48:44

Yeah.

48:48

Nobody's going to try and give me any

48:51

help here, huh?

48:52

You're still on the same scene.

48:55

I have remote off.

48:59

You're very successful.

49:03

You get the thing into there.

49:07

It basically,

49:08

as you come in,

49:11

you go for about 20 feet inside,

49:13

and then the floor begins to rise, and you can see above there is air.

49:30

That's good.

49:30

Okay, so yeah, take us in now.

49:34

But also note this, Josh.

49:35

You know when you hit the wall, it was very dusty?

49:38

Yes.

49:39

These walls have no dust.

49:43

Uh-oh.

49:44

Diamond.

49:46

So, guys, you notice how the walls before were so dusty and these aren't?

49:52

Which makes me think... Yeah, they're used.

49:58

Yeah, this is probably what we're looking for.

50:02

Should I make a roll?

50:05

Why don't you take the drone up and see if we can see what's in the air?

50:11

Well, because then there's no water to push on.

50:14

Into the surface of the water.

50:18

So, like, when you, like, you just want to bob it at the top?

50:21

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

50:23

I would say if you bob it at the top, it basically, you see it up ahead and then the cave turns.

50:31

Yeah, okay.

50:33

But yes, do people want Alan to drive into there?

50:38

I can barely see how this would kill us, even if he's successful.

50:44

So why not?

50:46

Okay.

50:47

So, Alan, it is going to be

50:51

a spacecraft minus one with an intelligence as the delimiter.

50:58

Hey, why don't you coach him?

51:00

You did such a good job coaching him, Cass.

51:03

I don't think anyone should

51:04

do that.

51:07

Do I just subtract one at the end?

51:11

I don't know.

51:12

Josh, how are you doing your minus one?

51:17

How was I doing my minus one?

51:21

Oh, that's how you are doing it.

51:24

You can mess with the... Can you hear me or you can't hear me?

51:26

I can hear you.

51:27

So on DM, you should have just been able to do minus one, right?

51:31

No, you can change it by twos.

51:34

Choose.

51:37

I just went to DM,

51:39

and I typed minus one on Josh,

51:43

and I'm going to go intelligence, and I'm going to go roll.

51:50

And that's exactly how it should work, yeah.

51:57

How do I do it?

51:59

You should be able to, you're right clicking your spacecraft.

52:05

Yeah.

52:07

You left click your spacecraft.

52:09

Where it says a dex at the top, you move this to intelligence.

52:12

Where it says DM, you type minus one.

52:15

And then, so I have roll mode, difficulty, roll type, oh, DM minus one.

52:21

Okay.

52:22

Why are we all minus one-ing?

52:25

Because you aren't piloting a sub.

52:27

You're trying to pilot a spacecraft.

52:29

You don't want to pilot a spacecraft, not a sub.

52:32

Ah, okay.

52:32

Ready?

52:34

Ready?

52:39

Great.

52:40

You park

52:41

it up there,

52:41

you're able to get it floating at the top,

52:44

and you literally are able to have the arm hold onto the side

52:49

so everyone can walk out easily.

52:53

Hey, Steinmoth, did you meet, why does your thing have a minus three on it anyway?

52:56

Because I was testing out and that was in fact the way to do it,

53:00

or if there was something else to it.

53:02

Patrick was right on, and I was just trying to test it out myself as well.

53:09

Fair enough.

53:11

So, who wants to get out?

53:15

Why don't some of you gunny fellows get out first?

53:20

I went first last time.

53:21

You did

53:23

go first last time.

53:24

That didn't work out for you.

53:26

I'll go first.

53:28

I think you want me patching you up.

53:30

But sure, I'll go first.

53:32

No, no, no.

53:32

Guys, let me go out first.

53:34

Got ahead.

53:35

I'm the stealthy one.

53:40

All right.

53:41

Okay.

53:41

All right.

53:41

Yeah, sure.

53:43

This is like totally that moment in Aliens where it's like, yeah, let's let the droid go first.

53:49

Let's let the monkey go first.

53:50

Let's let the monkey go first.

53:52

That's a great idea, guys.

53:58

All right.

54:02

So this is stealth and recon.

54:06

I'm fine for stealth.

54:08

Okay.

54:15

Thanks.

54:17

You are very stealthy.

54:19

You do think they probably should turn off the engine though of the sub.

54:25

It definitely covered the sound of your walking.

54:27

Okay.

54:32

And I'm going to recon the area.

54:34

Do you want to tell us to turn off the engine of the sub though?

54:38

Yes, please.

54:42

I power down the ship.

54:44

Okay.

54:46

By the way, Laura,

54:47

you are still able to maintain your communication because as long as you're

54:52

within basically 500 yards of the repeater, you're going to be able to talk.

54:58

Sweet.

55:00

All right.

55:00

Did you know that it takes two hours to turn back on the submarine?

55:07

Really?

55:09

Hope you don't need to get out of there for the quick and

55:11

a jiffy.

55:15

Yeah, I don't think it takes that long.

55:26

And am I correct?

55:28

I'd like to make a recon roll to see if I could find.

55:36

Damn, we're awesome tonight.

55:39

You see that

55:40

there is a airlock

55:47

That is all mechanical.

55:49

There is no locks in it is like gears and pulleys.

56:03

Interesting.

56:14

I let them know I found a Airlock.

56:20

It's that crude, no locks on it.

56:26

Does it look like it's for humanoids?

56:28

Like bipedal?

56:30

Okay.

56:30

Yeah, it is approximately the size of Dumbledore.

56:36

That's good because I don't think we're great at... Dumbledore was pretty tall.

56:43

It's probably for those skiffs.

56:45

Not as tall as Patrick, though.

56:58

So do we want to go in like guns blazing?

57:02

Do we want to like try to collapse this tunnel around it?

57:06

Do you think we can sabotage both ends of the store?

57:13

I don't think guns blazing worked out for us so well,

57:17

so I think we should maybe find a different alternative method.

57:23

Can we like fire a torpedo into there?

57:26

We don't have torpedoes.

57:31

Gunsblazing worked out pretty well for everyone except for...

57:38

That's why I said I wasn't going in first this time.

57:44

Does anyone want to unlock the door?

57:46

Like, just break the seal?

57:51

How do we do that?

57:51

Do we need, like, a specific roll for that?

57:54

No.

57:55

Turn a wheel.

57:56

Well, you need to be outside the ship, though.

58:01

Now that he's done the scout, who does not want to get out of the ship?

58:06

Maybe everyone should go,

58:08

but Alan,

58:08

who should stay in the ship,

58:10

you know, to turn on the ship, should we be running back with people shooting?

58:13

Well, but then he doesn't get to have any of the fun.

58:17

That's a meta decision there.

58:19

Fair enough.

58:20

Outside of the meta, I would stay in the ship while everyone else goes.

58:30

Can I fly the ship deep into the tunnel if I have to?

58:34

No, there's no water.

58:39

Oh, so we're just

58:39

parked up

58:40

there.

58:40

This is why you get a minus one, because it's not a spacecraft.

58:45

I will say you guys can take the keys so no one can steal your ship.

58:51

Let's all get out.

58:54

I'm feeling that a common sense says, fine, let's all get out.

58:58

Yeah.

59:01

Especially since I can patch someone up if they get shot.

59:05

Can I hold the keys, though?

59:07

No.

59:09

Tinkle, tinkle, this way.

59:10

Tinkle, tinkle.

59:12

This way.

59:12

This way.

59:15

I'm on my fucking feet.

59:20

Okay.

59:22

So, everyone's gotten out.

59:24

I imagine that you're all still staying in vac suits, just in case.

59:28

Well, yeah.

59:29

I mean, it's still pressurized down here.

59:30

I don't know.

59:33

Does someone want to see if it's just normal pressure oxygenated?

59:39

That sounds like a bad idea.

59:40

However, I'd like to have, does anyone want to check back suits with me?

59:44

Anyone just like for funsies?

59:46

Funsies.

59:49

I mean, we

59:49

already have them on.

59:51

No, what he's trying to say is basically check the measurements to see what

59:55

the gases are in the room you're in.

59:58

Oh, is that?

59:58

Okay, I thought he was just saying, because he said that was a bad idea, so.

1:00:02

He doesn't want to take it off.

1:00:04

He wants to see what the back suit says.

1:00:06

I was not saying we should take them off by any stretch of the imagination.

1:00:11

No, no.

1:00:12

What is that?

1:00:13

Is that a back suit roll?

1:00:14

Yes.

1:00:16

I'll do it.

1:00:17

You said you got it?

1:00:18

Okay.

1:00:25

So there is oxygen here, and there is also

1:00:32

little bit of methane and a bit of hydrogen.

1:00:38

You could probably breathe it with an

1:00:46

endurance test.

1:00:50

Excellent.

1:00:52

If our thing gets ruptured, I'll be happy to do that endurance test.

1:00:57

Yeah, or we could just stay on helium and then the bad guys will take us super seriously.

1:01:03

Absolutely.

1:01:05

Well, they're probably on helium

1:01:06

too.

1:01:10

Okay, so who would like to open up the first door?

1:01:15

Ooh, me.

1:01:16

Ooh, me.

1:01:16

I can't see how this could go wrong.

1:01:18

Let me do it.

1:01:18

What's the roll?

1:01:19

There's no roll.

1:01:20

Door opening.

1:01:21

I'm looking for that on my sheet.

1:01:24

Mechanics.

1:01:26

It's drive.

1:01:26

No, that's definitely your tactics, Navel.

1:01:31

Oh, Josh.

1:01:32

Oh, Josh.

1:01:33

So adorable.

1:01:34

So you open the door and you literally see another door within five feet.

1:01:44

Like an airlock system?

1:01:45

Like an airlock system.

1:01:49

Do they have a plane in there?

1:01:52

What?

1:01:52

An underwater plane?

1:02:00

Hydroplane?

1:02:02

Anyone who has a science, I'll happily accept a science roll.

1:02:06

I'll do a science roll.

1:02:08

I have a lot of science.

1:02:11

No, I mean, not a lot.

1:02:12

I have all zeros as opposed to negatives.

1:02:15

Blah, blah, blah.

1:02:18

Oh, wow.

1:02:19

Josh got a great role.

1:02:22

I will say,

1:02:27

well, Laura got the same role.

1:02:33

So you notice that the rock here has been plasticized or had some type

1:02:42

of containment that makes it no longer porous.

1:02:47

Only inside

1:02:48

the vac area.

1:02:51

Interesting.

1:02:55

Can I see it?

1:02:57

Is it like something like the smoothie shiny?

1:03:00

Yeah, there's a perfect way of describing it.

1:03:02

Yeah.

1:03:03

Okay.

1:03:04

Smoothie is a very technical term.

1:03:06

Smoothie.

1:03:10

It's like a strawberry smoothie.

1:03:12

No, you notice that the rocks were wet and kind of musty in the normal area.

1:03:20

You've gone into the first door of the airlock and you realize that to make sure

1:03:25

that it can handle the pressure difference, these rocks have been plasticized.

1:03:30

Okay.

1:03:33

Interesting, interesting, interesting.

1:03:42

Is there any kind of like venting pump system?

1:03:49

Not on this side.

1:03:51

Okay, because my original thought was the tunnel fills with water,

1:03:54

they open the door, it pumps out, they go through the other side.

1:03:58

But maybe it's the other way around.

1:04:00

I think it's going to be fine, guys.

1:04:07

Let's just open it.

1:04:09

Why do you want to die tonight, dude?

1:04:11

Oh my god.

1:04:13

It's been a really hard week.

1:04:16

It's Monday.

1:04:20

It's been a rough holiday, you know.

1:04:23

Alan is on board team, kill ourselves.

1:04:26

No.

1:04:30

But they will die.

1:04:32

Not if we die first.

1:04:36

No, we won't die first.

1:04:40

I mean, I would prefer not to die right now.

1:04:43

Okay, if you'd like to be sensible,

1:04:45

then I'm open to hearing other suggestions that don't,

1:04:48

you know, that don't have us dying immediately.

1:04:52

Sure, I'm listening.

1:04:54

There's no window or anything like that, right?

1:04:58

Like, no people?

1:04:59

Not on either side.

1:05:00

I would even go so far as to say there's not a camera even.

1:05:06

Do we have

1:05:10

Like a tricorder type machine that has a sensor on it that we could put up against

1:05:14

the door to see what's on the other side.

1:05:22

Like an ear, maybe?

1:05:25

Well, no.

1:05:27

Damien, that was the greatest line.

1:05:33

You definitely have a few ears.

1:05:34

Right, but they're inside suits.

1:05:39

But you could,

1:05:40

I don't know,

1:05:42

if anyone has a computer, I could attempt to, you can attempt to use a computer to.

1:05:45

I do.

1:05:47

Yeah, I do too.

1:05:53

Let me do a thing.

1:05:54

Okay.

1:05:55

Excuse me, do your thing.

1:05:58

I'll help him.

1:06:00

I have a high computer, I'll help him.

1:06:05

I'll hand you my computer.

1:06:06

I thought we didn't have good computer people.

1:06:10

We have a bunch of okay computer people.

1:06:12

Okay.

1:06:15

Roll that bean footage.

1:06:17

Okay.

1:06:24

You know that sound travels here.

1:06:27

Okay.

1:06:32

That means it's hollow on the other side then.

1:06:35

Probably hollow.

1:06:36

Sound can travel through water.

1:06:38

Sound travels through almost everything, even

1:06:41

in space.

1:06:42

Not the vacuum of space.

1:06:45

There's no air.

1:06:47

Yeah, so kind of one place I wouldn't travel because I can't vibrate on any material

1:06:51

to keep moving.

1:06:52

Yeah.

1:06:55

Yeah.

1:06:56

As they say, in space, no one can hear you scream.

1:06:59

Although apparently there's a creepy ass.

1:07:02

I don't want to distract us.

1:07:03

My God, what?

1:07:04

There's a creepy sound that astronauts report hearing when they go behind the moon.

1:07:10

Yeah.

1:07:11

I've watched 101 science documentaries in the last two weeks.

1:07:16

But there's also the flash in people's eye,

1:07:18

which may be the quarks actually impacting them from cosmic radiation.

1:07:22

Yeah, that too.

1:07:26

Oh, those quirky quarks.

1:07:29

I think all of you guys are going in the airlock.

1:07:34

Sure.

1:07:35

I love dying.

1:07:35

It's going to be great.

1:07:37

Nice knowing y'all.

1:07:38

Listen, guys,

1:07:39

I was going to stay on the ship so that I could write delightful obituaries

1:07:44

about you all.

1:07:45

But now we're all in it together, guys.

1:07:49

And just to clarify, I am in a pressure suit with the helmet on.

1:07:53

It's not like I'm just opening the door in my skivvies.

1:08:01

I don't know.

1:08:02

Patrick just has that look on his face that means bad news.

1:08:06

Yeah, I get that feeling too, which is why I'm super excited to open the door.

1:08:10

I doubt there will be

1:08:13

bears here.

1:08:14

Just do it.

1:08:15

Turn

1:08:17

off my camera.

1:08:18

Relax, don't do it.

1:08:20

When you want to go do it.

1:08:21

Relax, don't do it.

1:08:25

Someone opening the door.

1:08:26

Yeah.

1:08:27

Yep.

1:08:29

Okay, you guys start swinging the door.

1:08:30

We really did turn off your camera.

1:08:34

As you guys are turning the doorknob, you are hearing a ventilation begin to pressurize inside.

1:08:43

You're feeling a ton of air come actually into the room you're in.

1:08:47

Oh.

1:08:50

And you're all hearing alerts on your vac suit.

1:08:56

So the problem that's happening right now to your back suits is a reverse pressure.

1:09:03

We're getting puffy.

1:09:05

Yes, because you're under high pressure and in there is low pressure.

1:09:11

Oh no.

1:09:13

Can I roll a back suit to know what that will do to us?

1:09:20

Or a science?

1:09:21

I will accept back suits at Bane's.

1:09:28

Does anyone have Profession Spacer?

1:09:32

Belter.

1:09:34

If anyone has a Profession Belter, I'll let you roll that without a bane.

1:09:44

Wow.

1:09:46

Kolb, fucking plus seven on the damn roll.

1:09:49

Fifteen.

1:09:53

So the issue in play is that's...

1:09:57

Normal air oxygenation.

1:10:01

You're in a scenario where your vac suits are currently set for you guys to be in

1:10:05

a pressurized environment of like the subs and the micro subs and

1:10:12

the underwater base.

1:10:14

Yeah, so we're about to get the bends real bad.

1:10:19

You guys could try to gradually vent your vac suits so they don't pop.

1:10:28

And Vaxuit Rolls will basically be the...

1:10:32

And by the way,

1:10:33

a person who got plus seven can actually try to walk everyone through.

1:10:37

Vent, breathe out.

1:10:38

One, two, three.

1:10:39

Vent, breathe out.

1:10:41

One, two, three.

1:10:43

You can start trying to get them through a process.

1:10:45

But you got about 15-20 seconds before some of these Vaxuits get compromised.

1:10:49

Can we also close the door?

1:10:51

You are fighting pressure.

1:11:01

I will walk them through the venting process because it doesn't seem like we can go back.

1:11:05

If you guys had a battle suit, yeah, you definitely could do it.

1:11:08

But with your guys' eventual plus ones and twos of strengths,

1:11:12

you'll be able to pull the door closed right now until everything equalizes.

1:11:17

Okay.

1:11:18

So, Kolb, you two have leadership, don't you?

1:11:22

I do.

1:11:23

I'm going to say... And we're all

1:11:25

doing the same thing.

1:11:26

Right.

1:11:27

And because you got such incredible successes...

1:11:30

What I want you to do is I want you to roll leadership and everyone is going

1:11:34

to get those numbers.

1:11:40

Bam, bam,

1:11:42

bam, bam.

1:11:44

Okay.

1:11:45

We're at the A-team, guys.

1:11:47

I know.

1:11:47

We're doing so good tonight.

1:11:50

Can I ask how we were supposed to deal with the door?

1:11:56

If we, if, like, I was pretty sure something bad behind him.

1:11:59

What were we supposed to do?

1:12:03

What do you mean?

1:12:04

Never mind.

1:12:05

Continue the game.

1:12:07

Did you want to?

1:12:08

There's three other methods I had around it,

1:12:10

but I, I, all of them would have been even weirder in hygiene gear.

1:12:15

Fair enough.

1:12:15

Continue.

1:12:16

Yeah, you could have just, like,

1:12:18

drilled through the wall, and that's a little bit of venting would have come out.

1:12:22

You would have realized what's happening, and you guys could have backed up until it equalized.

1:12:27

You guys could have flooded the entire cave with water,

1:12:33

pump all the air of it out into the ship.

1:12:38

There's a lot of things you could do, but it's...

1:12:41

Okay, so I need everyone to roll vac suits.

1:12:45

You have boons.

1:12:46

We're going to be doing this three times.

1:12:48

You have boons on all three rolls.

1:12:51

I only want to know who fails.

1:12:55

Do you want to roll all three now?

1:12:57

Yeah.

1:12:58

Colb, you get to roll.

1:13:00

I'm mostly going to let you roll a boon because of your experience.

1:13:04

Everyone has a boon?

1:13:06

Everyone has a boon for all three.

1:13:07

Yeah, for three.

1:13:09

And we just roll three times.

1:13:11

Yep.

1:13:11

I

1:13:21

think everyone made it.

1:13:22

I have one more.

1:13:23

My friend...

1:13:24

Plus six.

1:13:27

Wow.

1:13:29

Alan is like the first failure, I think.

1:13:34

Do I roll again after failing or no?

1:13:36

Is that your third?

1:13:37

That was my second.

1:13:40

Yeah, you have to roll again.

1:13:45

Nice.

1:13:46

Okay.

1:13:49

Okay, so everyone has rolled three, right?

1:13:51

Yes.

1:13:53

Okay.

1:13:54

So, Alan, you're going to have a wound of two endurance.

1:14:07

Two endurance?

1:14:08

Okay.

1:14:08

Oh, you already subtracted it.

1:14:10

Okay.

1:14:11

I told you to stay on the ship, Alan.

1:14:13

Okay.

1:14:14

So, Alan starts bleeding out of his nose and his eyes.

1:14:18

Wow.

1:14:19

Can I do a medic roll?

1:14:20

No, because we're in suits.

1:14:23

Right.

1:14:24

And you guys are...

1:14:26

But Alan's suit is also not compromised.

1:14:31

It basically threw the pressure into him.

1:14:36

But through the burping and through the exhale and you guys opening your suits

1:14:40

and closing your suits and opening your suits and closing your suits,

1:14:43

Kolb has basically walked you through at equalized breathing.

1:14:47

Good job, Kolb.

1:14:48

Great job, Ken.

1:14:51

Two damage could have been a lot worse.

1:14:55

And it's not really repairable damage because it is blood vessels just shattering in his body.

1:15:04

It's going to heal.

1:15:04

So it will not return them back?

1:15:06

No, it's healed with time, just not medical.

1:15:09

Okay.

1:15:10

So honestly,

1:15:11

next time you sleep,

1:15:13

you're probably going to regain them back because you have so much endurance

1:15:15

to begin with.

1:15:16

Mm-hmm.

1:15:18

So you guys are able to fully

1:15:22

open the doors now.

1:15:27

And I'm going to paste in chat.

1:15:30

Whoa.

1:15:39

Cool.

1:15:42

That's not good.

1:15:44

What happened in chat?

1:15:47

Oh, wow.

1:15:53

That's amazing.

1:15:54

I bet that the criminals organization that tried to help us is entrenched here.

1:16:05

Oh, undoubtedly.

1:16:07

Can we take a picture?

1:16:10

Yeah.

1:16:11

Just pull up your phone to take a picture.

1:16:22

I would also note,

1:16:24

as you're seeing people walk around in the distance, they're not wearing back

1:16:40

suits.

1:16:40

So we're going to stand out like a solid thumb if we stay here for too long.

1:16:45

Can we now close the door from the other side?

1:16:47

Or you guys can take off your back suits.

1:16:50

But I mean,

1:16:50

but also can we like,

1:16:52

I'm saying can we close the door so that it doesn't keep on venting air?

1:16:56

Oh, it equalizes.

1:16:59

Okay.

1:17:01

By the way, it has also pushed water

1:17:04

out of the hole.

1:17:06

So your sub is now like bobbing on the other side of it.

1:17:15

Do you ever understand what I'm saying or do you want me to draw it?

1:17:19

Yeah, I don't understand what you mean by bobbing on the other side.

1:17:21

Do you mean bobbing, like, outside the cave?

1:17:25

Yeah, let me make a draw.

1:17:27

Because it is a little confusing to think about the way that the pressure kind of works.

1:17:33

But I'll just go create scene.

1:17:35

The water level

1:17:38

has risen or dropped?

1:17:40

Because I imagine it would have dropped.

1:17:44

Yes, but it's in a cave, which means it's pushing.

1:17:46

Yeah.

1:17:50

Okay, so we're on draw.

1:17:51

I'm going to send everyone to this one and go pull everyone.

1:17:56

Okay, and now I'm going to

1:18:01

draw freehand.

1:18:02

Okay, so.

1:18:04

It's all black.

1:18:08

Yeah, that's what I'm saying too.

1:18:09

But I assume that's what I was supposed to say.

1:18:10

There you go.

1:18:14

Okay.

1:18:15

There we go.

1:18:15

Okay, so these two lines are the airlock.

1:18:18

Okay.

1:18:20

Then,

1:18:26

this was basically the little cave area coming, and then this was where your ship was.

1:18:34

Here is the top of the cave, right?

1:18:39

Okay.

1:18:41

So, the problem is, when the pressure comes in, that water goes down.

1:18:48

So it goes all the way over here.

1:18:52

And so now your ship is up here.

1:18:56

Oh, what bullshit is that?

1:19:01

I mean, I think it's terribly scary BS because if the pressure changes again,

1:19:07

the water could hypothetically come back up to the same place and

1:19:12

the sub doesn't have to necessarily come back to where it was.

1:19:15

Right.

1:19:16

But hopefully you guys will have suits to be able to go that last distance.

1:19:23

My actual real life like fear of deep water, nothing below you.

1:19:28

Oh, it's just I hate everything about this.

1:19:33

My character is fine.

1:19:35

But like Laura thinks about having to swim out into the essentially the open water

1:19:39

in the middle of a deep ass trench.

1:19:43

No, thank you.

1:19:44

There must be another way.

1:19:45

I think my general thought is we should leave immediately.

1:19:49

But what do you guys think?

1:19:53

Well, we just got here.

1:19:57

Wasn't our whole purpose to find them?

1:19:59

Didn't we find them?

1:20:02

There was a certain element of neutralizing them.

1:20:07

Yeah, but let's be honest, there's too many people here for us to kill.

1:20:11

Yeah, this is a whole ass city.

1:20:14

I mean, it's underwater.

1:20:15

We could probably...

1:20:20

That sounds really killy for us, I think.

1:20:25

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of just murderating hundreds of people.

1:20:31

Bad guys who are shooting at us are different than people walking around town.

1:20:34

Here's the thing, this might be a way of getting out of TransStar for good.

1:20:39

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

1:20:42

Literal sane.

1:20:43

Literally sane.

1:20:45

I'm glad we're all thinking the same thing.

1:20:49

All Transstar has done

1:20:50

for us?

1:20:52

Do you not want to have a good Transstar day anymore, guys?

1:20:56

And I would rather go up with Transstar rather than stay down here.

1:21:03

Because they've got the spaceship that we've got, the ship's boat, they've got that.

1:21:10

I'd rather go out into the universe than stay down here.

1:21:18

This is a long play.

1:21:21

This is a long play here.

1:21:26

I guess the kind of three paths I see is one path you're like, fuck this shit.

1:21:33

Let's get our vac suits back on.

1:21:35

Let's get on the sub.

1:21:37

Let's repressurize.

1:21:38

Get the fuck out of here.

1:21:40

Path two is let's explore it.

1:21:44

And path three is you use your one bomb to destroy this entrance.

1:21:50

I'd like to explore it.

1:21:52

Yeah, I think it's

1:21:54

a good idea.

1:21:55

We might make friends.

1:21:57

You think it's a good idea?

1:21:58

Okay,

1:21:59

sure, okay.

1:22:01

I think it's good.

1:22:04

I've translated Josh's statement there is, it is an idea.

1:22:09

I don't know if it is a good idea.

1:22:11

Yeah.

1:22:15

Okay.

1:22:16

So, um, where, where do you guys want to put your vac suits?

1:22:20

Do you guys want to leave them in the airlock?

1:22:22

Cause you know, the airlock can't get wet.

1:22:24

Do you want to hide them in a bundle in the corner?

1:22:28

Um, what's the vibe?

1:22:30

I'd like to hide them in a bundle.

1:22:31

Yeah.

1:22:32

Yeah.

1:22:32

I like bundling corner.

1:22:33

Agreed, Laura.

1:22:35

Yeah.

1:22:36

I feel like they could be found in the airlock.

1:22:40

Okay.

1:22:40

Quick, quick question.

1:22:41

Quick question.

1:22:42

Um, Do you think they're not going to shoot us,

1:22:47

seeing how we're running around these trans star uniforms?

1:22:50

Wait, do we have uniforms underneath these things?

1:22:53

I imagine you're going to try to steal some clothing.

1:22:57

Yeah.

1:22:59

Oh, jeez.

1:23:02

Also, we were sneaking around.

1:23:04

We were just walking down the main street.

1:23:07

No ticket.

1:23:08

I get naked, and then the boombox starts to play, this is why I'm hot.

1:23:14

No, this seems terrible.

1:23:20

Let me recon the area real quick from what I can see.

1:23:23

How's that, guys?

1:23:25

Okay.

1:23:27

Go for it.

1:23:29

Scouts out.

1:23:33

Great roll.

1:23:34

Okay.

1:23:37

You're kind of scouting ahead in your kind of Transdar uniform.

1:23:42

You Come up to a

1:23:49

refiller for oxygen tanks.

1:23:52

It seems to be powered by some type of crank starter.

1:24:00

And there's a few oxygen tanks that are there already kept for emergencies.

1:24:05

You know how you go to 7-Eleven and you exchange propane?

1:24:08

It's like that.

1:24:09

Mm-hmm.

1:24:12

There is a workman's outfit, like a coveralls near here, if you wanted to take that.

1:24:22

You do see that there is a stairwell kind of going up that is metallic,

1:24:27

and it goes up to kind of a,

1:24:30

the next floor is also metal,

1:24:33

and it looks like there is some type of repair bay,

1:24:38

pulling things apart kind of, Saying, you're not seeing any people yet this close.

1:24:46

Okay, I will put on that repairman's uniform and I will try to stealth my way.

1:24:55

Okay, you can do it at a bane because

1:25:01

people are wondering why,

1:25:02

if they do see you, why is a guy stealthing?

1:25:06

Okay, well in that case I'll just put on the uniform and

1:25:09

start looking around.

1:25:10

Okay, you start walking around.

1:25:12

You see from that repair bay,

1:25:14

there is a,

1:25:19

you know how elderly people have the little,

1:25:22

like I stand on this thing and it takes me up the stairs?

1:25:27

Imagine that where it

1:25:33

almost like skidding the side of a whole bunch of walls

1:25:35

to let people get to different levels faster.

1:25:39

Then they could possibly climb.

1:25:42

So imagine the elderly one, but make it.

1:25:46

15 miles an hour.

1:25:48

Gotcha.

1:25:51

You do see a few kids just kind of poking around.

1:25:56

These kids' clothing looks like they're patchworks

1:26:01

of like ripped up transtar uniforms or lab stuff.

1:26:08

It doesn't look like they were clothing made for children.

1:26:12

I don't like that there are kids.

1:26:13

We don't want to live here anyway.

1:26:16

These pores.

1:26:23

Oh, didn't expect that.

1:26:25

All right, Baron.

1:26:28

Listen, okay.

1:26:29

Noblesse Oblige is a thing.

1:26:32

And don't you want to have good food in good times?

1:26:37

That is so not Noblesse Oblige.

1:26:44

Or maybe it's Space Noblesse Oblige.

1:26:47

By the way, I will let...

1:26:51

There's like a scrounge, right?

1:26:54

There's a wet skill?

1:26:56

Is there like scrounging?

1:27:01

Streetwise.

1:27:02

I will let Damien, if he wants to roll a streetwise, to get uniforms for everybody else.

1:27:10

Okay.

1:27:13

So I hear what you're saying.

1:27:16

Maybe these people need help, but are we the people to help them?

1:27:19

I think we're much more likely to blow up the place and have it collapse

1:27:22

and kill them than help them.

1:27:24

Damien, you definitely find more random workman's uniforms,

1:27:27

but you are seeing people in very worn transtar uniforms.

1:27:35

Okay.

1:27:38

They're not even like,

1:27:39

you can tell the emblems or the name tags are ripped off or things like that.

1:27:50

And the arms and knees might have some unraveling.

1:27:55

So

1:27:59

would it stand out crazy if we have brand new ones or it's like, oh.

1:28:03

I'm saying you guys can dirty them up.

1:28:18

Can someone else do it for us?

1:28:20

Maybe someone who's good at deception?

1:28:46

Well, he did bring back a few workman outfits too.

1:28:49

So people who are unwilling to try a deception roll can use one of those.

1:28:54

I don't

1:28:56

like to lie to people.

1:28:58

I like to let them know that I'm going to blow up their underground.

1:29:00

I don't think I have deception.

1:29:03

So Kolb easily rips up his uniform to look like it's worn and old in a very successful fashion.

1:29:11

Yeah.

1:29:12

Can I use

1:29:13

a uniform?

1:29:13

Because I have a very bad deception.

1:29:16

Like negative three.

1:29:17

Victor Mendez does fine.

1:29:20

Emma does fine.

1:29:21

So I think you can give him one of the outfits since everyone.

1:29:25

Yeah.

1:29:25

Of the players here, almost every person has done it fine.

1:29:29

Right.

1:29:29

So I get one too.

1:29:31

Yes.

1:29:31

I have a negative three in deception.

1:29:35

Yeah.

1:29:35

So there are two extra.

1:29:36

So you guys can start walking.

1:29:40

Okay.

1:29:41

Um, As you guys are walking through the city and taking the little skiff,

1:29:47

one of the first places it drops you off is a cafe.

1:29:50

You guys can keep riding if you want.

1:29:56

There seems to be a place where you guys can, there's like a computer kind of terminal bar.

1:30:05

You can tell that they are having news broadcasts from the surface.

1:30:13

Interesting.

1:30:19

And by the way,

1:30:20

on the kid thing, just because it was very sensitive to you, there's very few kids.

1:30:25

Yeah, but there aren't any kids.

1:30:27

There probably is

1:30:32

one in 60

1:30:34

is probably a child.

1:30:37

Terrorist kids.

1:30:40

And I also will note there are no teenagers.

1:30:45

And I ask a question.

1:30:47

So what's the general vibe like in the group?

1:30:50

Are we loving our Soleimani overlords

1:30:53

or are we like full we don't like fascist people anymore

1:30:57

and we're like super happy freedom fighters?

1:31:01

I'm a freedom fighter.

1:31:05

Interesting.

1:31:08

And the rest of you, like, I mean, like, like.

1:31:11

Are you still like, oh, I'm an undercover person and I kind of want to go back to my life?

1:31:15

Or are we like,

1:31:16

I kind of want to know how things have evolved

1:31:20

because maybe we're still normal citizens who are trying to get back to our lives.

1:31:25

Or maybe we want to be like people who...

1:31:27

I just want to know, last game,

1:31:30

you did ask this and everyone said that they didn't want to be criminals

1:31:33

and they wanted to be pro-Solomarni.

1:31:35

If people have changed their minds since then, I'm happy for people to give that advice.

1:31:38

I just mostly wanted to know, are you roleplaying that?

1:31:41

Because otherwise, how would you know that?

1:31:45

So I was wondering if other people,

1:31:47

because when I'm like,

1:31:48

so we blowing this place up, everyone's like, oh no, that sounds terrible.

1:31:52

I'm like, I don't know, these are criminals, guys.

1:31:53

I don't know.

1:31:54

They're undermining our society.

1:31:57

So what my thing is,

1:31:59

is like when I, because last time I think I asked about role-playing these

1:32:03

elements.

1:32:04

I guess, Josh,

1:32:05

there's also a lot of pieces of information I think you guys are about to get

1:32:09

that would probably answer a lot of these questions for you

1:32:11

about how you should treat them.

1:32:13

A hundred percent.

1:32:14

You've literally been there five minutes.

1:32:16

Oh, no.

1:32:17

So we don't even know who's there.

1:32:18

But, you know,

1:32:20

I think in a society like this,

1:32:22

we tend to jump to conclusions as opposed to giving people a chance to,

1:32:27

you know, talk it out.

1:32:29

So one of the other things you noticed, by the way, very quickly, is there is no monkeys.

1:32:38

Zero.

1:32:42

You also notice that you don't see a fair amount of weapons that are anything more

1:32:49

than a possible sidearm.

1:32:51

And even the sidearms are like one in like 40 people.

1:32:58

You guys were more heavily armored going to the DMV.

1:33:02

These people are living their lives in a theoretical terrorist cell.

1:33:11

So they have a small, tight-knit, peaceful society down here.

1:33:15

Any dolphins?

1:33:18

Um... You haven't seen any water.

1:33:23

Um...

1:33:26

Isn't there...

1:33:26

Wait, when you sent...

1:33:28

When you sent us

1:33:28

the picture,

1:33:29

there's like a huge...

1:33:30

Yeah, there's a lagoon, but like, that's where they're getting drinking water.

1:33:35

Oh, interesting.

1:33:38

Um...

1:33:39

You are, I would say there are probably,

1:33:42

if you guys want to like spin it up like another like five hours,

1:33:48

within five hours you probably see two dolphins.

1:33:54

Walking around in mechs.

1:33:57

In mechs.

1:33:59

Robo dolphins.

1:34:00

Because they don't have legs.

1:34:03

Right.

1:34:05

Because you don't let them, as the storyteller, I can't believe you Patrick.

1:34:10

What?

1:34:10

Robo-dolphin.

1:34:11

Very legist.

1:34:13

Very legist.

1:34:16

You know, I'm bipedal from way back.

1:34:23

You do treat this as a legacy game.

1:34:26

It is a legacy game.

1:34:27

Oh my goodness.

1:34:29

Now, I imagine you guys... By the way, and also, the food smells good.

1:34:37

It definitely smells better than what you've been having in the Transstar sub.

1:34:40

Okay, I'm ready to jump ship.

1:34:43

I'm mostly just like, what is going on?

1:34:45

Like, that's why I'm not like, let's just blow them all up.

1:34:48

I'm like, this is not what we were led to believe it was.

1:34:52

So what's going on?

1:34:54

Laura, you're sounding very reasonable and I'm very against this.

1:34:57

I don't know what to tell you.

1:34:59

Okay.

1:35:01

Um...

1:35:10

There's more to give,

1:35:11

but I

1:35:12

want to let you guys ask some questions before I just drip it to you.

1:35:16

Under the seas.

1:35:20

Under the seas.

1:35:24

You said that we can...

1:35:25

Oh, go ahead.

1:35:27

You go ahead.

1:35:28

So, like,

1:35:29

circling everybody up a little bit,

1:35:31

you know, off into a shadowy corner where we can talk a little bit.

1:35:35

It's like, alright, folks.

1:35:37

So this seems to be their own I wonder if there's some form of negotiation

1:35:42

that could happen here.

1:36:10

Transstar doesn't strike me as a negotiating type, unfortunately.

1:36:15

They let us walk around as wanted criminals.

1:36:20

I mean, if it's good for their bottom line,

1:36:25

I don't think they've got a particular moral problem one way or the other.

1:36:29

You do make a good point there.

1:36:35

I'd like you guys to ask some questions.

1:36:39

Because I don't think you guys are thinking about how this place exists.

1:36:47

And I think some questions... Well,

1:36:48

there's a lot of...

1:36:49

Well, I was going to say... Yeah, where are they getting

1:36:52

their power from?

1:36:53

Where are they getting their food from?

1:36:55

How do they have a connection to the news this far down deep?

1:36:59

That's what I was going to focus on was the news.

1:37:01

Because I'm like, is there a terminal I could try to hack into?

1:37:05

Yes.

1:37:05

I'm happy to accept a computer roll.

1:37:07

Oh, That's a lot of money for people who can't afford clothing.

1:37:12

Okay.

1:37:12

So, Laura,

1:37:15

you start

1:37:15

hacking the computer system,

1:37:16

and you notice it's on some interesting methods.

1:37:39

So first, it is not directly connected to the surface.

1:37:44

Okay.

1:37:46

What it's doing is it's

1:37:51

dealing transmitted signals from the surface

1:37:56

and rebroadcasting them here.

1:37:58

Oh, it's like pirate radio.

1:38:00

Yes.

1:38:02

Now, the most important thing you learn, though, is

1:38:07

all the computer systems here,

1:38:11

There are biological medical terminals that have been repurposed.

1:38:19

That's weird.

1:38:21

That's suspicious.

1:38:27

Interesting.

1:38:27

Okay.

1:38:30

Can I tell how old they are?

1:38:35

All of them are within 20 years.

1:38:38

Some are new, some are old, but none of them are older than 20 years.

1:38:41

Okay.

1:38:43

I'm just trying to get a baseline understanding

1:38:45

of how long this place has potentially been here.

1:38:50

You would guess it couldn't be more than 30 years old,

1:38:53

even with the higher levels of rust from the refiltered air and

1:38:58

the high water content and things like that.

1:39:01

So they've been here a while then, is what you're saying.

1:39:05

30-ish years, probably.

1:39:07

Well, I'm just saying, again,

1:39:09

the impression was they were terrorists that just sprung up out of nowhere

1:39:12

and these people have been here for at least 30 years.

1:39:15

Yes.

1:39:15

Or at least they've repurposed a facility that's been here 30 or 40 years.

1:39:22

I will say with your computer knowledge,

1:39:23

you know that this has been a continuous facility for that time because you can see

1:39:27

the databases of communication on top of each other.

1:39:33

Yeah.

1:39:38

So I'll be hacksoring and then I will turn to the group and say something to

1:39:42

the effect of like, these people have been here for a while.

1:39:47

Like this is not some upstart terrorist group that just came in overnight.

1:39:52

These people have been here minimum 25 years, potentially 30, maybe longer.

1:39:59

Like their hierarchy of databases goes back quite a bit.

1:40:04

This is not something that just popped up overnight.

1:40:08

I think these are old enemies of Transtar.

1:40:11

Do they have any community events, local news slash propaganda they're sending out?

1:40:21

They're teaching people chess and Scrabble.

1:40:25

They're teaching them what?

1:40:26

I'm sorry?

1:40:27

Chess and Scrabble.

1:40:29

Okay.

1:40:31

Now, I would accept every single person to do an investigative role at a Bane.

1:40:39

Even if you have Investigate?

1:40:44

Yes.

1:40:45

I'm confused by the question.

1:40:47

Even if you don't

1:40:48

have it?

1:40:50

Whatever you're rolling, it's out of Bane.

1:40:53

Okay, Investigate.

1:40:57

So roll that beautiful Bane footage.

1:40:59

Awesome.

1:41:00

That's my first real failure tonight.

1:41:02

Oh, it's out of Bane.

1:41:04

No, okay.

1:41:13

Where is Investigate?

1:41:18

It's in the eyes.

1:41:19

It's its own category.

1:41:21

Red bug, Jack of all trades.

1:41:24

Well, considering I had a bane, I don't feel too badly about mice.

1:41:28

No, we've all failed except for you.

1:41:31

Yeah.

1:41:32

I'm supposed to be the investigator of the group, so there you go.

1:41:36

Oh, Colb.

1:41:37

Oh.

1:41:37

Colb.

1:41:41

Do you see someone that looks familiar?

1:41:48

Oh.

1:41:49

I wonder if these are all clones.

1:41:58

Familiar how?

1:42:02

It looks like Judith Dumont, who was with you at the killing.

1:42:05

Oh, yeah, yeah.

1:42:10

Interestingly, she doesn't have her gun.

1:42:14

That's probably good for us.

1:42:18

Wait a second.

1:42:24

Are we... Are we the baddies?

1:42:30

Um, what do you mean?

1:42:30

We're amazing and we're trying to make a better world for someone.

1:42:35

We just haven't decided who that person is yet.

1:42:37

But no villain ever.

1:42:39

Anyway, um...

1:42:55

Huh, maybe main chat is not the right place for me to be in.

1:42:58

Oh no, it's jibber jabber.

1:43:00

That's where the silly stuff is supposed to go.

1:43:05

Main chat is for like, main chat is for character stuff like the pictures and such.

1:43:10

Jibber jabber is for our goofy off.

1:43:12

I keep getting out of there by mistake, sorry.

1:43:16

Well, we're going to have to take away your birthday then.

1:43:20

Is it your birthday?

1:43:21

Next month.

1:43:22

No, because we're taking it away.

1:43:25

Yeah.

1:43:27

So, by the way, the classic question is, Damon, do you tell this to people?

1:43:31

Because you're the only one who succeeded.

1:43:34

Damon or Kolb?

1:43:36

Kolb did.

1:43:37

Kolb, do you tell this to people?

1:43:45

I guess the answer is no.

1:43:50

I think maybe he... Yeah, only Colby and Joe... Oh, I guess Joe's got a zero success.

1:43:55

Well, I saw Colby flash.

1:43:57

No, I definitely tell everybody.

1:43:59

Like, I pointed out, but like...

1:44:04

I just feel the least.

1:44:06

I misheard what you said.

1:44:08

Butt off, and then it went silent.

1:44:10

He says he definitely tells everyone.

1:44:12

Yes, but then he said...

1:44:13

But then he said butt off.

1:44:16

So I have to construe that it's all he said, because he's talking now.

1:44:21

Yeah, I tell everyone, but I frame it, I don't jump to the conclusion that it's a clone.

1:44:30

Okay.

1:44:31

Right, like, because Occam's Razor, like the simplest, you know, solution.

1:44:36

Say that again?

1:44:43

So you think it's her who's down here?

1:44:45

Yeah, yeah.

1:44:46

Okay.

1:44:47

So what do we want to do?

1:44:49

You want to go and have a conversation with her?

1:44:59

I got nothing.

1:44:59

I don't know.

1:45:03

If it is her and she's down here, did she frame us to get us down here?

1:45:12

Has she been working with the Underworld the entire time you guys have been working

1:45:15

with Transtar?

1:45:22

Pretty decent question.

1:45:27

I don't think we should all approach her, but someone should.

1:45:31

Alright, well,

1:45:31

I'm a spy and I have deception and carouse,

1:45:37

so I will go and approach her as best I can.

1:45:41

You want to

1:45:42

go alone?

1:45:43

I don't have to go alone, I'm just saying that I will go.

1:45:48

Did you want someone to come with you as the spy?

1:45:51

Wait, I don't think I knew you were a spy.

1:45:53

As a spy, do you want to go alone or do you want someone to come with you?

1:45:57

I don't know how spy things work.

1:45:59

Well, I didn't say I'm a spy.

1:46:01

I just said I would go.

1:46:03

Oh, I'm sorry.

1:46:04

I didn't realize that was out of character.

1:46:05

I apologize.

1:46:06

Yeah.

1:46:07

Well, yeah.

1:46:08

I was excited that I finally learned the secret.

1:46:12

I'm trying to be secret about my secrets.

1:46:14

It makes sense.

1:46:15

I was just excited that I finally learned.

1:46:17

I'm like, I didn't know.

1:46:18

Did everyone else know?

1:46:19

And you're like, actually, you still don't know.

1:46:21

Never mind.

1:46:22

So by the way,

1:46:23

even before you start going over there,

1:46:25

while you guys are still looking at her,

1:46:28

she's talking to the person who recruited Emma

1:46:35

into SoulSec.

1:46:38

Yeah, something weird is going on here.

1:46:43

And that guy, you saw blow up in a car.

1:46:47

Yeah.

1:46:49

Yeah.

1:46:51

Can I go back to the computer and specifically look for reference

1:47:01

admission?

1:47:02

I guess is maybe the best way to put that.

1:47:03

How do you get in here?

1:47:07

People were rescued.

1:47:20

So it may not be a situation,

1:47:22

and I say this part out loud,

1:47:23

so it may not be a situation of clones,

1:47:26

but maybe a situation of

1:47:32

deceit at the time of death.

1:47:34

Like they've already prearranged and it makes it look like they're going to die and

1:47:39

then they leave.

1:47:40

Let's take two steps back.

1:47:42

Okay.

1:47:43

You guys, the Mercer guy you spoke to, what did he say?

1:47:48

He said that they couldn't stay on the planet.

1:47:52

But when you found him, where was he?

1:47:55

Under the water.

1:47:57

In the cloning facility that was being attacked by the quote-unquote terrorists.

1:48:04

They were trying to save him.

1:48:08

And bring him to their city.

1:48:13

Well, it could be that previous clones have gone that route.

1:48:19

And then they get...

1:48:21

The new political leader gets reset to a version

1:48:25

before they learned whatever turned them to support these clones.

1:48:31

So to expand on what Steinbach's saying because of the data Mercer said,

1:48:35

Mercer said they had to come every seven months to get an upload.

1:48:40

And they get rid of the old clone.

1:48:43

But you do know that the quote-unquote terrorists have been attacking clone facilities.

1:48:50

So they would have taken those ones that didn't

1:48:52

get woken up in seven months.

1:48:58

Oh, they're getting more

1:49:02

dystopian as we go along.

1:49:06

I'm confused.

1:49:07

We have the best society possible.

1:49:10

Right, but that also might mean there's six Mercers down here.

1:49:21

You guys rescued the last one.

1:49:25

Yeah.

1:49:31

And now you can understand why there might be children who are under 10.

1:49:38

But there are no kids who are above 10.

1:49:45

Because it's taking a while for them to be able to.

1:49:49

Yeah.

1:49:52

Can we say that again, Michael?

1:49:53

Children of the Clones.

1:49:55

Yep.

1:50:04

Which explains why TransStar wants them destroyed because they are security leaks

1:50:10

and a variety of other political problems.

1:50:17

And they are also...

1:50:19

Sorry, go on.

1:50:20

Transstar,

1:50:21

it was my impression that Transstar cared less about the political ramifications

1:50:27

because they are a multi-stellar, multi-system, spanning corporation.

1:50:34

So Solstack would want them eliminated, I would think, more than Transstar.

1:50:39

I don't disagree with that,

1:50:40

but Transstar is the one who's currently pulling the trigger,

1:50:43

so it doesn't mean that they aren't being...

1:50:48

Funded?

1:50:49

What's the word I'm looking for?

1:50:51

Directed?

1:50:52

Yeah, directed's a better word.

1:50:53

They could be being directed by SoulSec,

1:50:55

but they're still the ones who are actively engaging in the situation.

1:51:03

Like grocery stores, they have to throw away old food.

1:51:07

Who's paying for this?

1:51:09

And when they throw away old food, they can't resell it, even though someone else might buy it.

1:51:17

Right now, Transtar is being paid to make the clones.

1:51:22

And all these people are out there.

1:51:24

Every time the terrorists stop the clones,

1:51:27

it's costing Transtar money because they have to basically reclone the guy

1:51:31

for this guy, let alone what if the guy actually died and they need to recover it.

1:51:36

The terrorists are hurting Transtar's bottom line.

1:51:39

They're hurting soul sex security.

1:51:43

And these people all probably know something noteworthy.

1:51:48

Yeah, I was wondering about that because why is Judith cloned?

1:51:55

And cloned young.

1:51:58

Oh, okay.

1:52:00

Because remember, Judith you saw was old.

1:52:03

Yes.

1:52:05

You hadn't said she was younger.

1:52:07

I said she had dark hair.

1:52:11

Okay.

1:52:12

Her character picture is she has white gray hair.

1:52:15

I get that.

1:52:16

I just hadn't twigged on that.

1:52:17

Yeah.

1:52:18

So, that's kind of the bit.

1:52:21

Now, you guys have more questions.

1:52:24

You guys could try to feed information out of these people.

1:52:27

You could try to be like,

1:52:29

hey, have a trans-sardine and compromise the place and get the fuck out.

1:52:33

No.

1:52:34

Who...

1:52:38

Yeah, I think I want to know who has paid for something like this to exist.

1:52:42

Did they maybe extort someone else who's really rich outside of here?

1:52:47

This is a huge undertaking.

1:52:51

Okay.

1:52:55

Remember, they have the memories of the dead.

1:52:57

Okay?

1:52:59

So they also have the bank accounts of the people who never went and got them.

1:53:04

Oh, haha.

1:53:07

Oh, I was thinking,

1:53:08

you know,

1:53:09

if the other person's still alive and you're like,

1:53:13

give me money so I don't say about the thing that you don't want anyone else

1:53:16

to know.

1:53:16

Or what if you were the last clone?

1:53:20

Let's say the guy died and you were rescued instead of released.

1:53:24

You have your money.

1:53:26

Fair enough.

1:53:36

So I still think I would like to go talk to Judith.

1:53:39

Okay.

1:53:40

You walk on up.

1:53:43

Are we all going?

1:53:44

Are you taking one person with you?

1:53:47

I'm going to go by myself.

1:53:48

I feel like that's the least...

1:53:51

No, I don't disagree.

1:53:52

I just wanted to know.

1:53:52

Sorry, I'm not trying to be confidential.

1:53:55

No, you're good.

1:53:57

Okay, I'm going to go up to her.

1:53:58

Okay.

1:54:04

By the way, the guy who got you in SoulSec is Francis Adams.

1:54:09

All right, let me write this down for journal.

1:54:15

More notes.

1:54:17

Add a page.

1:54:25

So you walk up and Judas looks at you like she's never seen you before.

1:54:31

Almost like she's never seen you before.

1:54:33

And Francis Adams says, Emma?

1:54:39

Hold on, I'm sorry.

1:54:39

I'm writing down my notes.

1:54:45

Looks like he has seen you before.

1:54:55

Well, that would just suggest that this is a clone from after he recruited her at some point.

1:55:01

Yeah.

1:55:01

But again, we don't know that yet.

1:55:06

So are you ready, Laura?

1:55:07

Yeah, I'm sorry.

1:55:08

Thank you very much for being patient.

1:55:11

Yeah, so he says Emma, and I acknowledge him with a Francis.

1:55:17

Yes.

1:55:18

Well, you know, the Watchman comes for all of us.

1:55:25

I am glad, though, that you had risen to a rank that a recloning structure was up your alley.

1:55:33

We've been able to have a few people.

1:55:36

I think the last group we had was about a month ago,

1:55:41

but there's so many of us, I don't get around to see everybody.

1:55:46

I'm still new here, so I'm trying to understand the layout of everything and how it works.

1:55:54

I'm not entirely sure what my next step should be.

1:56:01

Well...

1:56:03

It is a philosophical question.

1:56:05

We lived lives of importance and note in the Selimani Nation

1:56:10

and now we are persona non grata to be seen anywhere in existence.

1:56:19

Some people pass the time writing computer programs.

1:56:23

Others support

1:56:26

criminal networks that can possibly get them out of Sarmani space

1:56:32

or whole new identities in smaller communities.

1:56:36

But I

1:56:41

found the most interesting things here to see and understand what is valuable

1:56:46

in people Even if they don't find it valuable themselves.

1:56:51

Well, what is it that you do?

1:56:55

I am a psychologist.

1:56:58

I try to help people adapt to the changes that they've done and to find purpose in this world.

1:57:05

I just smile at him and I'm like, that seems like something you would do.

1:57:14

We've lost our ability to...

1:57:16

Publicly support the Soleimani Nation,

1:57:20

and we do our utmost to not be a drag upon them,

1:57:26

but it's every Soleimani citizen,

1:57:28

whether they are an echo of their original person or if they're a person

1:57:34

who didn't even know their worth, deserves the support for aiding our great nation.

1:57:41

Would you say that the reason why we're all here is because we are preserving

1:57:47

the Soleimani Nation?

1:57:49

That to have done away with us would have been to sully

1:57:56

the purity of it all?

1:57:58

I hate saying that phrase.

1:58:03

I think it's more the spirit than the purity.

1:58:07

We are all

1:58:10

We are all those who are working on the greater mission.

1:58:13

We, as the first pioneers who left Seoul to explore the universe,

1:58:21

we are those who are exploring the echoes of our own existence.

1:58:30

I understand with a clarity my original form must have been killed

1:58:35

or my other form would not have been generated.

1:58:39

But some people here are even in the odd scenario where while they were created

1:58:45

in case there was an accident,

1:58:48

the accidents never occurred and they just happened to have been rescued

1:58:53

and we bought them off of the terrorists.

1:58:59

Oh, so they're There are terrorists as well.

1:59:04

I'd heard rumor while I was still topside, but I couldn't put anything down about it.

1:59:12

It was too elusive.

1:59:16

There are dolphin extremists still about and certain humanati who believe that

1:59:26

the dolphins should be given an equal citizen nature.

1:59:29

They do wish to Have their voice heard and through the wealth and influence

1:59:34

that we've been able to acquire,

1:59:37

we can pay them to recover

1:59:41

new members of our community.

1:59:50

All right.

1:59:52

And I presume the funding all comes from previous bank accounts.

1:59:56

There's no other...

1:59:59

Alternative source of income.

2:00:01

Well, you did mention some criminal enterprises.

2:00:04

Yes, there are different criminal enterprises that many people have skills

2:00:11

that can still be transmitted at a distance.

2:00:16

Intelligence and analyzing, knowing where

2:00:23

Certain weaknesses are of political gain that things might be smuggled in or imported.

2:00:30

All minor crimes in the grand stabilization of the community.

2:00:34

Nothing to the levels of what we did for the preservation of

2:00:37

our society.

2:00:43

She just nods kind of like if she's taking it all in.

2:00:46

Well, she is taking it all in.

2:00:51

But.

2:00:53

I hope you got your home assignment already.

2:00:56

I know that there are some transitory housing for people who are still trying

2:01:00

to cope with the mental shock.

2:01:05

Oh, yes.

2:01:05

I've been well set up.

2:01:07

I was just trying to get an understanding of the city as a whole.

2:01:15

We did get records that you were...

2:01:18

Part of a political assassination.

2:01:21

I imagine they caught and killed your original form and this is the echo

2:01:25

that was preserved for you due to your rank in Solskjaer.

2:01:31

Yeah, it just,

2:01:34

I don't think that they had an opportunity to scrub it before I was rescued

2:01:38

because I definitely was framed for the murder of someone I did not actually kill.

2:01:46

Quite interesting, you were able to get an upload while on the run.

2:01:50

Certain automations happen even outside of SoulSex purview when they're automated.

2:02:02

But I do feel this may be a dying emprise.

2:02:09

It seems that the...

2:02:14

Ability to do the cloning information I have discovered was found on

2:02:19

a particular planet and there was a resource they had to do

2:02:21

to create these perfect clonings that was an expendable resource.

2:02:26

And the storehouses of it are beginning to get thinner and thinner.

2:02:34

And they have no

2:02:35

other means to gather this resource?

2:02:38

It was found at an...

2:02:41

Old Sarmani site on a moon at Superman.

2:02:49

Sorry, Krypton.

2:02:51

Krypton is a planet that is like four jumps away to the north.

2:02:55

Does Superman live there?

2:02:57

Do they have a red sun?

2:02:59

Exactly.

2:03:00

They do have a red sun.

2:03:02

But yes, there was a Sarmani site there where there was some type of discovery.

2:03:09

I only have certain records of it and the smuggling of it to Jardan to perpetuate

2:03:15

the cloning process.

2:03:17

Is Jardan the only planet that does this cloning technology?

2:03:23

There is probably eight planets in the entire Soleimani Empire.

2:03:28

Different ranks here are done for the experiment to make sure it's perfect

2:03:31

for those they need it.

2:03:33

But there are only probably eight or nine Empire-level jewels of Saramani.

2:03:39

Each of those have a cloning facility.

2:03:41

But as the original resource that's necessary

2:03:45

to create these perfect clonings is fading,

2:03:51

they've been doing greater experiments on trying to have The cloning with less

2:03:56

and less of the material.

2:03:57

And you can tell that there is a stronger and stronger psychological flaws in these people.

2:04:08

Emma feigns concerns saying, well, I hope I'm okay then.

2:04:12

I don't know.

2:04:13

These are people who, from the very beginning, you can tell quite quickly, they return with...

2:04:22

Ticks, seizures, things like that.

2:04:28

Within a week or two, you realize that these clones are a bit faulty.

2:04:33

We have created some chemical aspects to reduce the worst of their symptoms,

2:04:38

but it's nothing that we can cure.

2:04:41

Well, that's unfortunate.

2:04:43

To be rescued and then live that way is going to be a certain level of torture to them.

2:04:52

It depends on the philosophical nature of it.

2:04:56

It is still another breath, it is still another life.

2:04:59

The heart of every Soleimani pioneer is one who wishes to have purpose,

2:05:07

a driving goal, even a limping man can cross a desert.

2:05:18

She nods at this sage's wisdom.

2:05:21

Yes.

2:05:27

Well, I don't want to take up too much of your time,

2:05:29

and I wanted to get more traction around the city to see what all there is.

2:05:32

Would you recommend anything that I should see one's first week here?

2:05:41

Mushroom burgers they have are remarkably tasty, even from my previous phantom memories.

2:05:46

Ha ha.

2:05:49

I'll keep that in mind.

2:05:50

But no facilities?

2:05:52

There's no,

2:05:53

I don't know,

2:05:54

a library or anything like that that would help me understand things better?

2:05:59

There are some computer facility areas where they are teaching people to hack

2:06:06

into consoles to be able to find data patterns.

2:06:11

All of the information here is sent on relay,

2:06:14

so it cannot actually be directly transmitted back to here.

2:06:19

Every six hours, it is transmitted from another location, so you can never return the signal.

2:06:27

That's probably wise.

2:06:29

Well, I know it is wise.

2:06:32

We occasionally do get visitors from different underground groups to Bring supplies

2:06:41

and things that we can't build or produce on our own.

2:06:44

Interesting.

2:06:44

Where do these, like,

2:06:46

are they understanding of what the situation is or do they just know you're a group

2:06:50

that lives underground?

2:06:52

They are normally understanding somewhat of the situation.

2:06:56

They believe that we are remnants of rogue cloning done by Transdar.

2:07:03

It's not too far

2:07:03

of an answer.

2:07:10

I'll keep that in mind, too.

2:07:11

Maybe I can make myself useful around here in some capacity in that regard.

2:07:16

I still have a number of contacts up on the surface.

2:07:21

It is very important, though, that you do not maintain the identity that you have.

2:07:26

We've had certain individuals' identities be transmitted upwards because they wanted

2:07:32

to speak to family members or the like, and it has created...

2:07:37

Large conflicts with social solidarity attempting to track down and find us.

2:07:43

Oh, I can understand that.

2:07:45

Most of my contacts know me under an alias, but those could have been compromised too.

2:07:50

I'll think of something.

2:07:52

Of course.

2:07:53

It's great seeing you.

2:07:55

You're going to find a few other key people here.

2:07:57

Those who had information and contacts were obviously quick to be cloned even

2:08:03

without their permission.

2:08:03

Okay.

2:08:07

Well, SoulSec is nothing else if not thorough.

2:08:11

Yes.

2:08:13

Well, it was great seeing you.

2:08:15

Great seeing you as well.

2:08:17

And Judith is talking to this guy like, wow.

2:08:22

Like, okay, another one of your SoulSec contacts.

2:08:27

Yeah, I don't tell Judith that I knew her because I didn't want to introduce

2:08:33

that complication,

2:08:34

so I just smiled and nodded her politely like,

2:08:37

It was nice to,

2:08:38

you know,

2:08:39

make your pseudo-acquaintance,

2:08:40

even though we weren't introduced, that kind of Minnesota polite type lip smile.

2:08:45

Exactly.

2:08:47

So, okay.

2:08:49

Damn.

2:08:52

All right.

2:08:53

Do you want me to roll anything for all that, or just because we role-played it?

2:08:56

Like, how much...

2:08:58

I don't know.

2:08:58

I don't want to jinx myself, but I don't want to cheat sore either.

2:09:01

I don't think that you...

2:09:06

That was all role-playing.

2:09:07

You weren't trying to convince the guy of something that you weren't able to say.

2:09:11

No, you did fine.

2:09:12

Alright, cool.

2:09:13

Just wanted to put that out into the world.

2:09:16

Alright,

2:09:16

so I'll go back to our little hidey hole and just be like,

2:09:21

situation is very different than what Transtar has portrayed it as.

2:09:28

There are certain elements that are similar to But they're being distorted.

2:09:35

Everyone here is a clone of someone else.

2:09:39

Hands down.

2:09:40

They're being rescued and brought here to live in a society that has cut itself off.

2:09:49

The terrorists are the people who raid the facilities to steal the old clones

2:09:55

before they're destroyed to make a new clone.

2:10:01

They're out here saving lives.

2:10:04

Pardon me?

2:10:06

So they're out here saving lives.

2:10:08

Yeah, pretty much.

2:10:13

I may or may not have told my old recruiter that I was a clone.

2:10:20

Gotta do what you gotta do.

2:10:23

Exactly.

2:10:26

I did, however, notice,

2:10:28

and I look at Zoe, I'm like, there don't seem to be any elevated apes, though.

2:10:32

It does look like they talked about working with some criminal elements

2:10:37

that were dolphins,

2:10:40

and there is a movement to make dolphins of equal status,

2:10:44

but I didn't see anything about chimpanzees or apes or hear anything.

2:10:51

I shouldn't say see.

2:10:53

Aren't the terrorists attacking the shipping and stuff, the dolphins?

2:10:58

The dolphins are, yes.

2:11:01

Like I said,

2:11:01

there's a certain element of truth to Transtar's story,

2:11:05

but it's not just for vandalism's sake

2:11:11

that they're raiding these cloning facilities.

2:11:25

I think...

2:11:30

I'm not sure what I think.

2:11:32

I don't think we should destroy them or anything like that.

2:11:36

And I don't like the fact that Transtar is being duplicitous in that way.

2:11:41

But I also don't blame Transtar because they're Transtar.

2:11:46

Wait, are they being duplicitous?

2:11:47

Because basically it seems like these people are connected to terrorists, right?

2:11:52

Well, define terrorists.

2:11:53

They're literally saving themselves.

2:11:57

Well, they're saving other people.

2:11:59

Transstar may not even understand exactly what's going on.

2:12:02

All they know is that they have very expensive clone assets

2:12:08

which are being attacked,

2:12:10

and they don't necessarily know the purpose behind it, nor do they necessarily care.

2:12:15

I think that they do know.

2:12:18

I can't imagine that somebody hasn't put two and two together.

2:12:23

I mean, I did after talking to someone for five minutes.

2:12:30

Do you tell us about the mineral or the consumable for the clones to make them?

2:12:39

Yeah, I'll go through the explanation really quick about the process itself,

2:12:45

how there are nine other planets that are doing it.

2:12:48

I don't know if there are people from those nine other planets here,

2:12:52

like if they're shuttled here somewhere or if there are alternative cities

2:12:56

in different places.

2:12:58

I did not follow up on that question and I now in hindsight feel like I should have.

2:13:03

But they do believe that the process is going to be winding down as it were because

2:13:09

the resource that is used in the adequate cloning mechanism is dwindling

2:13:15

and they're actually seeing a deprecation of product let's call it in

2:13:20

that people are arriving with mental and physical disabilities.

2:13:27

Well, okay,

2:13:29

connecting a dot that maybe isn't the right dot to connect,

2:13:32

but we also learned that people's DNA markers were changing

2:13:38

over time whenever they'd had medical procedures, etc.

2:13:44

What if part of the push to have a different consumable...

2:13:49

They're trying to compensate by changing the genetics of the person.

2:13:52

That's why we're seeing this genetic drift in the leadership,

2:13:55

which would be the same people that would have the status to get the cloning in

2:13:58

the first place.

2:14:01

That is very viable.

2:14:09

And the psychic powers being unlocked, part of that?

2:14:16

Maybe that was a surprise when it unlocked.

2:14:20

Yeah, byproduct.

2:14:22

Yeah.

2:14:29

Yeah, that's a distinct possibility.

2:14:31

I mean, it's got a lot of traction on it, but that part I don't know.

2:14:36

There is a library,

2:14:38

and the way that they gather material is through essentially an air gap so

2:14:42

that they can't be traced.

2:14:47

We could, well,

2:14:48

everyone but Zoe could go and try to learn some individual data

2:14:56

that we could bring back together.

2:15:00

I don't mean to be exclusionary, Zoe.

2:15:03

I do apologize for that.

2:15:05

But in my heart, not that much.

2:15:07

Because you are a monkey.

2:15:08

I didn't say that part.

2:15:10

That was for Damon's benefit.

2:15:18

What do you think?

2:15:19

Do we want to kind of go see if we can find anything at the library?

2:15:22

Do we want to hack just systems that we come across?

2:15:26

I'd love to go to the library.

2:15:29

I like knowledge.

2:15:30

The clone library?

2:15:31

Yeah.

2:15:33

I definitely would concoct a story if you run...

2:15:36

Apparently there are a couple different...

2:15:39

I mean, we just saw Judith.

2:15:41

I did not introduce myself to Judith.

2:15:43

I did to Francis because he recognized me.

2:15:46

But if you run into anyone you know, you should have a story kind of at the ready.

2:15:53

I came here a week ago,

2:15:57

maybe even fewer days,

2:15:58

and they do have some sort of dormitory system for the newly arrived.

2:16:03

Well, I did a lot of university time.

2:16:10

I came here for research.

2:16:12

I'm continuing my research.

2:16:14

You came here for research?

2:16:16

That's your story?

2:16:17

I came to continue my research.

2:16:21

Right.

2:16:21

I'm just saying you wouldn't have known this was here.

2:16:25

Huh?

2:16:25

They cloned me to continue the research.

2:16:30

If that's the story you want, then okay.

2:16:38

Okay.

2:16:38

Well, then let's try to find this library.

2:16:42

Here's what we're going to do.

2:16:44

I'm going to let everyone just do a 1D6, okay?

2:16:51

Now, if you fail,

2:16:55

like you get low on the 1D6,

2:16:57

I'm just going to tell you something about the greater plot that you discover here.

2:17:02

If you get high in the 1D6, you can ask a question, okay?

2:17:05

Okay.

2:17:07

Okay, so...

2:17:12

Remember, to roll a 1d6, you go to...

2:17:16

Okay, greater plot for who that was.

2:17:19

That was me.

2:17:20

That was you, Steinbach.

2:17:22

I don't know how to roll a 1d6.

2:17:24

Okay, you go to the type box at the bottom, and you type slash...

2:17:30

Oh, yeah.

2:17:32

Slash R space 1d6.

2:17:35

Where?

2:17:37

At the very type bottom.

2:17:39

The text box on the bottom of the...

2:17:45

Okay, so let me start this.

2:17:51

Okay.

2:17:52

Can you do it for me?

2:17:54

Because I can't see it.

2:17:56

Sure, I'll do it for you.

2:17:57

Okay.

2:17:59

No, wait, it's R.

2:18:01

You didn't do the space.

2:18:02

That was the only difference with Laura.

2:18:05

It's R, it's slash R, space 1D6.

2:18:11

And in the enter message?

2:18:13

Yep.

2:18:15

Slash, R. Base, 1D6.

2:18:20

Capital R?

2:18:22

No.

2:18:22

No.

2:18:26

I don't think it matters, honestly.

2:18:29

That's probably actually the

2:18:30

most accurate.

2:18:31

Oh, God.

2:18:32

One.

2:18:32

It's fine.

2:18:32

No, you guys have a lot of stuff that we're all going to learn about the plot.

2:18:35

Okay, I'm going to start at the top of the Steinbach.

2:18:36

Technically, I rolled you one anyway.

2:18:39

Okay.

2:18:40

Transar does not know about these people.

2:18:42

Okay.

2:18:45

Okay.

2:18:46

Transtar believes that the clones were destroyed

2:18:50

because they didn't believe there was enough oxygen and methods

2:18:53

to keep these things alive for any type of distance or whatever,

2:18:57

let alone to have them in these deep depths and survive the transport from there.

2:19:02

Okay.

2:19:04

Damien, you get to ask a question.

2:19:07

What would you like to ask?

2:19:20

Do you want me to come back to you?

2:19:24

Yeah, come back to me.

2:19:26

Colb, what's your question?

2:19:30

I got a question at three?

2:19:31

Okay.

2:19:46

Do you want me to come back to you, too?

2:19:48

Yeah, because right now my current question wouldn't fly.

2:19:51

Okay.

2:19:53

Josh.

2:19:57

The terrorists actually have two factions.

2:20:03

One faction is directly just trying to destroy Transtar and to do other types of things.

2:20:09

Another faction is trying to basically...

2:20:15

You know how you might hack into someone's computer?

2:20:18

They're trying to hack into the memories of all the clones

2:20:21

because no one would be cloned unless they knew something.

2:20:28

So the people who are here who are clones are thinking that someone's paying them

2:20:33

to bring them here.

2:20:34

There's actually a greater conspiracy to place them here,

2:20:38

see what data is important to them,

2:20:40

almost kind of like a Patrick McGuin prisoner vibe.

2:20:50

Then we have our Alan roll for Josh's second.

2:20:54

We'll just do it now.

2:20:59

I

2:21:02

would say you do find out that the original Underworld dolphin that you met at

2:21:08

the very first game is the people feeding resources and stuff down to them.

2:21:17

Okay, Laura, what is your question?

2:21:22

Are there other cities like this on the other planets that the cloning is happening,

2:21:27

and do they talk to them?

2:21:30

They do not talk to them,

2:21:32

and you can presume that there is some aspect of attempting to weed off the clones

2:21:41

and to kind of basically

2:21:45

extract the data from them.

2:21:48

I don't know how to put it.

2:21:50

It's like the SolSec and other political figures feel that cloning is important

2:21:58

for anyone who has important data that we have to perpetuate.

2:22:02

They don't realize that instantly puts a box of people that has important data.

2:22:07

So everywhere they're doing this,

2:22:10

someone is probably bleeding off that important data because If they didn't,

2:22:17

the clones are just going to eventually be killed.

2:22:20

You're at your seven month cycle.

2:22:23

You didn't need that.

2:22:25

They have to kill your clone and build a new one because you need new memories.

2:22:31

Right.

2:22:33

And because you're not allowed to be on the surface as your clone

2:22:36

and you're only allowed to leave the planet if you're the last living of your kind

2:22:39

of identity.

2:22:41

These people don't know if they're the last living of their identity.

2:22:44

They don't know if their people got off-surface.

2:22:46

So they can't risk getting to the surface,

2:22:48

or they'll all be purged in kind of a Blade Runner-esque method.

2:22:53

Yeah.

2:22:54

Yeah.

2:22:57

Okay, so back to the top to Damien.

2:23:03

I...

2:23:03

I was going to ask, you answered by telling me who was financing the thing.

2:23:08

Um...

2:23:12

I have my question ready.

2:23:15

Okay.

2:23:16

Do they have a network to access getting off world?

2:23:22

No, they don't believe they can.

2:23:26

They believe if they got off world and they went somewhere,

2:23:30

in all likelihood,

2:23:30

they'll probably get caught because someone will find a genetic marker somewhere.

2:23:35

Now, because you had a pointed actual point answer, some people have gotten off.

2:23:41

But they don't believe there's a network they can get off.

2:23:44

Think of it more like Logan's Run or The Village.

2:23:49

Or that one with

2:23:57

Scarlett Johansson.

2:23:59

That one.

2:24:00

Where they're all clones.

2:24:02

The island?

2:24:02

The island.

2:24:03

Yes, the island.

2:24:05

Some people do get away and figure it out and get above board and get away.

2:24:08

But the people here don't think there's ways to get out.

2:24:12

Gotcha.

2:24:14

So no Underground Space Railroad.

2:24:19

They don't think there is.

2:24:24

I'll give an example because I keep kind of dodging it.

2:24:26

I really want to be clear.

2:24:27

Sometimes when the criminals come

2:24:30

down, they kidnap people.

2:24:34

Oh.

2:24:37

That's rude.

2:24:39

But they do give them kind of like probably like a better independent life

2:24:43

than being a mole man.

2:24:50

Are you a mole man if you're underwater though?

2:24:53

Maybe you're a sea urchin man.

2:24:56

You're a beaver.

2:24:59

A sea monkey man.

2:25:01

Sea monkeys.

2:25:02

Okay.

2:25:04

So we're back to Damien for the last question.

2:25:07

Yeah, I'm going to open the floor.

2:25:09

Anyone have any suggestions?

2:25:10

Anything?

2:25:15

I feel like I had another question and now I've forgotten it.

2:25:24

Crap.

2:25:28

I'll give you another plot one better than the others if you want to just give it up.

2:25:35

Oh, please.

2:25:37

Okay.

2:25:37

There are two particular things about the clones that no one seems to realize,

2:25:42

but you've been able to piece together from the data.

2:25:46

All the clones died in 25 years, regardless of how they were.

2:25:54

In the idea that basically, let's say you were 25, you're going to live to 50.

2:26:00

No one's going to think that's kind of weird.

2:26:02

And if you were 16, you live to 85.

2:26:05

No one's guessing that's kind of weird, but they only live 25 years.

2:26:09

That's the maximum.

2:26:11

The second thing is they're, they, how do you put this?

2:26:19

So

2:26:22

when they're quote unquote dreaming, their minds turn off.

2:26:31

When we dream as individuals, Our minds become more active.

2:26:37

When they dream, their minds actually enter almost a hibernation state.

2:26:44

This was a process put into place because they were afraid of wearing out the clones

2:26:50

and things the clones wouldn't realize.

2:26:54

So all of them sleep like a rock,

2:26:56

not realizing that because none of them dream and none

2:27:00

of them have higher brain activity when they're sleeping.

2:27:06

Who enjoyed Dream of Electric Sheep?

2:27:08

Not these.

2:27:10

Not them.

2:27:17

My last piece for you, because you had the best number in the damn list.

2:27:24

You can't tell genetically that

2:27:29

someone is a clone without attempting to age the DNA.

2:27:35

Hmm.

2:27:36

Like if you took a blood sample and you took another person blood sample,

2:27:40

standard RNA matching is going to show it's identical.

2:27:45

If you gradually started building the process of cells and then you start fast aging

2:27:51

the cells and you start increasing the metabolism,

2:27:54

you'll begin to notice some variations.

2:27:58

It's minor enough that someone who wasn't knowing what they're looking

2:28:02

for would think it's their lab mistakes versus it's actually part of

2:28:05

the cloning process.

2:28:13

So now the question comes into play, are you guys going to leave?

2:28:19

I mean, I think we should.

2:28:27

What are we going to tell Transtar?

2:28:32

What if we blow up the sub and stay?

2:28:36

And then what?

2:28:38

Why would we stay?

2:28:40

I'm just brainstorming here.

2:28:44

What if we instead tell them that Transtar is on to them and they need to move

2:28:48

the fuck out of here?

2:28:50

And then we could blow it up and we all get a win.

2:28:53

Oh, we blew it up.

2:28:54

They must not be here anymore.

2:28:55

We destroyed their base.

2:28:58

Well, I was thinking along that lines of I'd asked for some demolition charges.

2:29:05

We set that off not here but near here where it's not going to cause damage to here.

2:29:12

Maybe we tell these folks, hey, you've got to cut it out for a while.

2:29:15

We set it off.

2:29:17

We say, yeah, we blew up their base.

2:29:19

Your seismic readings should have caught the explosion.

2:29:22

And then at the very least they get breathing room.

2:29:27

While we finish up with Transtar and get off planet.

2:29:32

In that theory, you guys could just blow the tunnel.

2:29:37

But then, but here's the thing.

2:29:39

But Transtar knows they're around here and they'll find them.

2:29:43

But if instead... You know Transtar didn't find them.

2:29:46

Know that they're here.

2:29:48

But they know they're in the area, don't they?

2:29:50

Isn't that why they sent us here?

2:29:52

They know there are terrorists.

2:29:57

Oh, not the clones.

2:29:59

So the terrorists are these clones just trying to free other clones.

2:30:05

What if.

2:30:08

OK, I misunderstood that.

2:30:10

OK, there are three groups.

2:30:13

You've seen one of the three groups.

2:30:15

The terrorists are a whole other group that these people think that they're paying

2:30:20

to get the rescues.

2:30:24

But the terrorists are a different group.

2:30:26

They're militarized and they have their dolphin warriors and all that other kind of shit.

2:30:32

This is the remnants of what the terrorists have been stealing.

2:30:43

Okay.

2:30:45

The suggestion I was going to make was would it be possible

2:30:53

Open a line of conversation between this group and TransStar

2:30:57

where this group buys any of the clones that were going to be discarded.

2:31:03

That way TransStar gets a revenue source and is able to recoup some of their loss.

2:31:08

This group gets people without having to go a violence route.

2:31:14

TransStar can't know about these people or the entire business that they're selling

2:31:18

of making clones is

2:31:22

a lie.

2:31:24

Well, the majority of people at TransStar can't know about this.

2:31:32

Well, TransStar are the people who are enforcing the idea that you only can have one

2:31:37

of these clones.

2:31:39

That's why they're destroying them in the lab.

2:31:44

You also have to imagine some TransStar people are getting cloned.

2:31:47

So I can't imagine they are going to be cool with the idea of these clones running around.

2:31:54

Transstar is not going to support the clones' existence.

2:31:56

You guys can choose if they know.

2:31:58

The way that I see it is,

2:31:59

is Transstar,

2:32:01

unless we come up with something that is fairly believable,

2:32:04

Transstar will keep on poking around and eventually they'll find them.

2:32:08

If you guys destroy the cave and you guys say that was terrorists,

2:32:13

but there are lots of cells of terrorists tell them,

2:32:17

you keep the clones safe for at least three to six months and Who's

2:32:24

to say you were wrong?

2:32:27

True, but then we have to tell them.

2:32:31

We need to tell the clones then what's going on so that they can adequately prepare

2:32:35

and they don't just think somebody blew up their tunnel.

2:32:39

I mean, to be honest,

2:32:41

if we blow up the tunnel where it doesn't actually hurt them,

2:32:43

it's irrelevant what they know or not.

2:32:45

The point of us telling them is to save their lives if we're trying to save their lives, right?

2:32:50

Like if we tell them they can move somewhere else,

2:32:52

they can be safe,

2:32:53

and Perhaps also then they don't get raided by,

2:32:56

you know,

2:32:58

one of the other terrorist groups who comes back to get information out

2:33:00

of their heads.

2:33:02

You know, that's my thought.

2:33:05

I'm confused because you said they don't have to know and then in

2:33:08

the next breath said when we tell them.

2:33:11

No, no, sorry.

2:33:14

Here's the thing.

2:33:16

If we don't care what happens to them, we could just blow the thing up.

2:33:19

It doesn't hurt them.

2:33:20

And sure, maybe they'll be a little scared, but...

2:33:25

What I wouldn't want to do is be like, hey, we're going to blow up something.

2:33:28

It's probably not going to hurt you.

2:33:29

What if they just shoot us and don't let us do it?

2:33:32

Why do they trust us?

2:33:34

And if they live, and then they eventually tell someone,

2:33:38

these guys blew this up and they told us they'd be okay.

2:33:44

I hear that.

2:33:45

But if instead we're like,

2:33:46

you need to move the fuck out of here, then we could blow it up and, you know.

2:33:51

Where are they going to go?

2:33:52

I don't know.

2:33:53

We have millions of dollars.

2:33:56

They're super rich.

2:33:57

They'll go where the fuck they want.

2:33:58

I don't know.

2:33:58

That's not...

2:33:59

I don't have to come up with all the answers.

2:34:02

They're like, they can have a clone-free day, just like a trans star did.

2:34:08

Like, I'm sure they can figure it out.

2:34:10

These are some of the smartest people in

2:34:12

the world, probably.

2:34:21

Um...

2:34:22

And as a side note,

2:34:23

we could,

2:34:24

we have the ship boat,

2:34:26

we could offer these people to get their kids off planet to another world

2:34:32

where they would have at least less scrutiny.

2:34:35

But that's just a negotiation.

2:34:36

Those kids with no legal IDs, no legal presence, which weren't reported anywhere.

2:34:43

Yeah, but I will say the kids aren't recorded anywhere, though.

2:34:45

That's a good thing.

2:34:47

They're not going to come up with any genetic code.

2:34:50

Yeah, yeah.

2:34:53

Right, but some of the parents might want their kids to live not in

2:34:56

an underwater base their whole life.

2:35:00

That's all I'm saying.

2:35:02

Okay.

2:35:03

So, we could split the difference.

2:35:09

We could have Emma write a letter and send it to the system to her old pal.

2:35:16

And on our way out, we could

2:35:17

explain what's going on.

2:35:20

And we could blow the entrance.

2:35:24

And we can come back in a couple months to check on them.

2:35:29

You know, see when we're all still alive.

2:35:31

What?

2:35:31

Why would we ever come back here?

2:35:40

I mean, if we care about them, then probably they should move.

2:35:45

But if we don't care about them, then why are we coming back?

2:35:50

How are we going to transport several hundred people?

2:35:53

We're not...

2:35:53

Wait, they got here.

2:35:54

They got here some way.

2:35:56

Right.

2:35:56

And they have access to.

2:35:57

Yeah.

2:35:58

No, they don't have access to ways out.

2:36:00

What is that?

2:36:02

They don't have access to ways out.

2:36:04

Do we know that?

2:36:07

Well, if they had access to ways out and wanted to get out,

2:36:10

they could have done that to Patrick made the comment earlier of they think that

2:36:15

if they went anywhere, they will eventually get caught.

2:36:18

So some of them might not want to leave.

2:36:25

The concept, how many people can fit on that stinky ass boat that we have?

2:36:32

Eight.

2:36:33

Really?

2:36:34

No, no, no.

2:36:35

The one that's being repaired.

2:36:38

The one that's getting repaired.

2:36:41

The actual ship boat that can fly to the planets.

2:36:44

So the thing is, you guys have probably 20 tons of cargo space.

2:36:50

You could I think it's half a ton for low birth, so you can hold 40 people.

2:36:56

Something like that.

2:36:58

And how many people are here?

2:37:01

Several hundred.

2:37:02

Yeah, probably 250, 300.

2:37:05

So we could not even put all those people on our ship if they wanted to be on the stinky ship.

2:37:11

And that's why I said we could get our kids off planet.

2:37:28

Listen, so I guess the question is, what do we want?

2:37:34

So really the question is, what do we want to do?

2:37:37

And from there, everything else moves from there.

2:37:41

What is the goal that we want?

2:37:43

And then we will come up with a plan to accommodate the thing.

2:37:49

If we just want to go,

2:37:50

if we just want to be done with this,

2:37:51

we can just blow up the thing that's not going to blow this up

2:37:54

and tell Transstar we found a,

2:37:56

what do you know,

2:37:57

we realize there's a bunch of rings and we found one ring and we blew it up.

2:38:01

End of the story.

2:38:02

But if we want, are we trying to save these people's lives?

2:38:05

Are we trying to, what do we want to do?

2:38:08

And I must tell you, and don't feel poor, don't think too

2:38:11

poorly of me, I don't give a fuck.

2:38:22

They are,

2:38:24

to their mind at least,

2:38:27

funding some portion of the terrorist attacks against Transtar.

2:38:30

If we can get them to stop that,

2:38:33

even for a time, that theoretically is a good thing for Transtar.

2:38:40

If we go with a ruse of exploding things,

2:38:45

we can get good with Transtar, show them that we're of value, all that jazz.

2:38:52

And any of the people here,

2:38:57

or all of the people here,

2:38:59

likely have information that is important slash valuable slash compromising

2:39:05

in trying to put people in a position where we could clear our names.

2:39:11

So I think that there's a bevy of information here.

2:39:16

I think there's a way to make us look good to TransStar here.

2:39:19

And

2:39:21

Eventually,

2:39:21

if we want to soothe our consciences,

2:39:25

we could eventually get people off the planet if they wanted to leave.

2:39:29

I like the second option that was just listed.

2:39:39

I don't think I was giving options there.

2:39:43

I thought I was giving just points.

2:39:45

Oh, yeah.

2:39:46

We grew ourselves a trans star.

2:39:49

Yeah, I like the second one you made with

2:39:54

making an explosion and then they kind

2:39:59

of get left alone and then we look useful.

2:40:03

Yeah.

2:40:04

And then no one's the wiser, you know?

2:40:06

Yep.

2:40:09

I will just say it is possible if we want to go 100% Transtar and really drink

2:40:18

the Kool-Aid,

2:40:20

We actually blow up this place or we go and tell Transstar, oh,

2:40:25

that's where they're at and have Transstar deal with them

2:40:27

because Transstar will want to keep it quiet with all the clones.

2:40:31

So if we want to go Super Transstar, there is a way forward there, too.

2:40:35

I do not want to do that.

2:40:38

I didn't think you did.

2:40:38

I was just pointing it out.

2:40:40

No, I understand that.

2:40:41

I'm just saying, like,

2:40:42

from a Soleimani standpoint,

2:40:44

these people are still Soleimani of pure genetic code,

2:40:49

and to destroy them is to destroy our culture,

2:40:51

and I'd rather not do that,

2:40:53

which is kind of what Transdar has been doing

2:40:57

with their clone-destroying capability.

2:41:04

Are these folks, in fact, still pure Soleimani, or have they...

2:41:08

Through the cloning loss, those markers are no longer.

2:41:14

Laura, I just want to say,

2:41:15

very impressive,

2:41:17

those mental gymnastics where you, like,

2:41:20

I really love that you were able to come up with a reason,

2:41:22

like, in the game that we should, like, I love it.

2:41:25

It's really impressive.

2:41:28

Thank you.

2:41:30

Like, my character's like,

2:41:32

I can't think of a reason why we should give a fuck about these people.

2:41:35

Like, I'm like, I'll do whatever.

2:41:36

Like, whatever, guys.

2:41:43

Well, I don't see why they wouldn't have the markers if they're clones.

2:41:47

Because that's the entire point.

2:41:48

You'd have to pass genetic testing on the surface if they had been replaced.

2:41:54

So by that kind of logic, then yes, they are pure Soleimani.

2:42:00

Well, their records could have been altered.

2:42:04

If this is, in fact, connected to...

2:42:08

The information we got out of the safe at the guy's apartment

2:42:11

where genetic markers had been changed,

2:42:17

if that is related to the cloning,

2:42:19

then these people,

2:42:20

while they may have been born pure Soleimani,

2:42:23

they aren't necessarily pure Soleimani anymore.

2:42:29

If they got cloned into bodies that were no longer pure.

2:42:35

Can I look that up, Patrick?

2:42:39

Yeah.

2:42:40

Would it be a computer roll?

2:42:45

Okay.

2:42:48

Can you clarify exactly what you're looking like?

2:42:51

I want to see if they've done any genetic testing on themselves to see

2:42:54

if they're still pure Soleimani heritage or if they've noticed a genetic drift

2:43:00

in themselves.

2:43:02

I'll just tell you without a roll, they are not testing themselves.

2:43:06

Okay.

2:43:07

Okay.

2:43:11

Like even the hole that you're learning that they're dying in 25 years,

2:43:15

you're just getting that from the records of them recording lives and deaths.

2:43:23

Okay, sorry, I'm

2:43:24

fading.

2:43:25

You could,

2:43:27

I could say this,

2:43:28

you could try to download a genetic listing that you guys can then try

2:43:33

to research later.

2:43:35

Okay, I can do that.

2:43:36

I'd like to do that rather.

2:43:39

You hold that in your brain computer.

2:43:42

Yay, my brain computer.

2:43:45

We do have five minutes.

2:43:48

I really think it needs to come down to two choices.

2:43:53

I think choice one is you just leave.

2:43:57

Someone's giving really bad feedback.

2:44:01

I'll mute my thing.

2:44:02

I don't know.

2:44:02

Okay.

2:44:08

Okay.

2:44:09

So thing one, you guys, thing one, you just bomb the gateway.

2:44:16

You know that the underworld people have other ways to get here.

2:44:20

These people are not going to starve.

2:44:22

They're not going to die.

2:44:23

Even if it takes them 90 days to dig themselves out,

2:44:25

you've given Transtar 90 days for the support of what you've done.

2:44:30

No harms, no fouls.

2:44:33

The other method is you don't say shit about these people.

2:44:39

You don't tell shit about them to anybody.

2:44:42

And honestly, just bomb one of the other caves and say whatever the hell you want to say.

2:44:48

Hey, you know,

2:44:49

we stopped some terrorists,

2:44:50

but there's many cells down there and we had to run away from a lot of them.

2:44:56

You should make a pity story when you bomb a cave.

2:44:59

I think those are really the two things you can do here because...

2:45:04

You're not going to extract any because you'd have to put them on the sub and

2:45:07

then you have to explain that to the captain.

2:45:12

You don't want to kill these people,

2:45:14

so you're not going to put the bomb,

2:45:15

you're not going to blow away the actual airlock,

2:45:18

which would begin to start flooding the entire place.

2:45:23

By just destroying the tunnel,

2:45:27

I don't think you hurt them and you kind of help them for 30 days

2:45:29

that no one can fuck with.

2:45:34

Or you guys can blow up another random tunnel and say it was terrorists.

2:45:40

Of those two choices, do people have a view?

2:45:43

I like the blowing up random tunnel one better than blowing up them

2:45:47

because I don't want to compromise them in any way.

2:45:50

I really would like to give them an opportunity to get the hell out of Dodge

2:45:55

in any way that they want to.

2:45:57

Okay.

2:45:59

That's one vote for random tunnel.

2:46:03

Two votes.

2:46:03

I second it.

2:46:05

Okay, so three votes for Random Tunnel.

2:46:07

Anyone against Random Tunnel?

2:46:11

Yeah, it's the same way.

2:46:15

Random Tunnel it is!

2:46:18

Random Tunnel!

2:46:19

I believe someone has a demolition.

2:46:23

Is that someone here?

2:46:26

I apologize.

2:46:27

I was on mute for a minute.

2:46:28

I was going to say I'm all for random tunnel as well,

2:46:32

but also we need to change the files on the sub so that it shows that we were at

2:46:40

a different location when we blew it up or that we got to delete the set

2:46:45

of coordinates so that way someone can't double check our flight logs

2:46:49

and find this place again.

2:46:52

I should be able to do that,

2:46:54

but if someone would encourage me through leadership,

2:46:56

then I probably can for sure do it.

2:47:00

So, can I say one thing, though?

2:47:04

Yeah.

2:47:06

Are we going to say anything to them about what's going on before we leave?

2:47:10

Like, to give them any more information?

2:47:14

If you say anything to them and they get caught,

2:47:17

you're caught.

2:47:19

Well...

2:47:23

Well, then why would they believe you?

2:47:24

Okay.

2:47:24

Look, I don't care.

2:47:52

My question was who has demolitions.

2:47:53

That's the question right now.

2:47:55

I don't.

2:47:56

So while people look on their character sheets to see if they have demolitions,

2:48:00

the question is...

2:48:02

I do not.

2:48:03

You do not.

2:48:04

Whatever it is, demolitions are the people who are not here, I guess.

2:48:10

Does anyone want to...

2:48:11

Do we want to save the location for ourselves should we ever need to come back

2:48:16

or not?

2:48:17

Laura, you said you think you could do it.

2:48:19

Why was that?

2:48:21

Because I have Computer 2.

2:48:24

Do I have Computer 1 or Computer 2?

2:48:29

I have Computer 1.

2:48:30

Sorry, but I have an Intellect of Plus 2.

2:48:32

Okay.

2:48:36

Patrick, no one has Demolitions.

2:48:40

I have Profession Belter because I work mining in the belts.

2:48:48

Okay, Laura has Explosives.

2:48:51

Do I?

2:48:52

I've been looking for it and I'm like, I don't...

2:48:56

It's called Explosives.

2:48:59

You have it at a zero.

2:49:00

I have it at a zero.

2:49:04

Okay, I guess I could probably

2:49:06

things up.

2:49:09

I'm looking to see if anyone else has it at anything higher than that,

2:49:14

because I'm like, there's no way that no one had it.

2:49:17

Yeah, you are the one with the best roll.

2:49:23

There are two people who have the jack of all trades for a negative two,

2:49:25

but you have it actually at a simple just, you can blow it.

2:49:31

All right, yes, that's what I'm doing.

2:49:33

Because you have it, do you want to blow the little door or the super big door?

2:49:42

I thought we were blowing an entirely different cave.

2:49:45

Yes.

2:49:46

There were three caves.

2:49:48

You guys went in the middle cave.

2:49:49

The little cave is a small door.

2:49:52

The big cave is the big, big door.

2:49:55

By the way, Carla's vote is big, big door.

2:50:00

Well, Carla's here.

2:50:01

Too bad she's not playing with us.

2:50:04

She had some work to do.

2:50:08

Well, on that recommendation, I'd do Big Big Door.

2:50:11

Okay, under Carla's recommendation, they're going to blow Big Big Door.

2:50:14

Okay, so roll your explosives.

2:50:19

It is going to be intelligence plus explosives to know where to place it.

2:50:26

No whammies, no whammies.

2:50:28

That's a whammy.

2:50:30

Okay, it explodes.

2:50:33

Cool.

2:50:38

Now we guys need a

2:50:39

quick pilot out

2:50:39

of here.

2:50:40

Now we're going to get away before we get caught.

2:50:43

Alan, can I have a quick pilot?

2:50:45

It's going to be your Starship with a minus one?

2:50:48

Yeah, Starship with minus one.

2:50:51

You can do it.

2:50:54

Okay.

2:50:57

Starship?

2:50:59

Yes, spacecraft

2:51:01

is what he means.

2:51:02

Oh, it's spacecraft.

2:51:04

Okay, and then minus one.

2:51:09

Am I stupid?

2:51:10

Where do I put the minus one again?

2:51:12

On the bottom, which is DM.

2:51:14

Oh, okay.

2:51:15

Sorry.

2:51:17

Sorry, it's okay.

2:51:20

Yay.

2:51:23

You make it.

2:51:24

Okay.

2:51:24

As you are floating up,

2:51:30

the communication begins to kind of kick back up.

2:51:33

The profunder says that the Terrorists attacked a relay station

2:51:38

and they lost communication with you.

2:51:41

Oh, OK.

2:51:43

And you should be seeing a group of terrorists come by.

2:51:46

They're flying back now.

2:51:49

We've all picked up on the sonar that you dropped a bomb.

2:51:56

And the terrorists are able to drop faster than you.

2:51:59

They have this very interesting method.

2:52:01

They have these bombs that they drop.

2:52:06

And in a few seconds, it atomizes all the water around it.

2:52:10

Oh, interesting.

2:52:12

But it only atomizes H2O.

2:52:16

So when they need to drop,

2:52:19

they pop one, and they pop one, and they pop one, and they just start falling.

2:52:23

Can I make another check?

2:52:25

There's no water there.

2:52:27

What are you looking for, Alan?

2:52:29

Another spacecraft to avoid it.

2:52:31

I don't know.

2:52:32

Oh, no, they're getting around again.

2:52:35

What I'm saying is they're falling faster than you can actually catch up.

2:52:40

And because they're basically able to, it's almost like Moses parting the sea.

2:52:45

They basically drop a hole in the water.

2:52:48

And while the whole water has to fill it up a second,

2:52:51

they have a second or two where they fall where there's nothing.

2:52:54

And that doesn't damage their hole when they hit the water?

2:53:01

It's just like splashing of water together.

2:53:03

Yeah, fine.

2:53:05

I don't think we care.

2:53:06

Like, right?

2:53:06

We don't need to catch them.

2:53:07

Like, so what?

2:53:08

What do we care?

2:53:11

Yeah, we've dropped our payload.

2:53:11

We're out of here.

2:53:13

Yeah.

2:53:16

I apologize for world building.

2:53:17

I had to be pre-written at 1143.

2:53:19

No, no.

2:53:21

No,

2:53:22

I'm not saying.

2:53:22

No, I'm just saying,

2:53:23

like, I'm just saying for us, like, We're not trying to catch any more criminals.

2:53:31

I had a whole set, Rich, for how they'd fight and how they set.

2:53:34

So that was my one piece of investing that time into a world.

2:53:37

Wait, can we shoot them?

2:53:39

Can we shoot the bombs?

2:53:40

We don't have guns.

2:53:43

You have one bomb.

2:53:44

Put the bomb.

2:53:45

We don't have any guns.

2:53:47

We had a bomb.

2:53:50

Okay, you guys get back to the Profundor?

2:53:52

I have an idea of how we could,

2:53:56

if we're close to where the bombs are set, could our drone follow them?

2:54:03

So you want the drone to fall through air?

2:54:07

Because it can't swim if there's no water.

2:54:10

I figured it would just drop with them, is my point.

2:54:13

Yeah.

2:54:13

But only people are especially interested in doing it, is my point.

2:54:17

I'm just saying,

2:54:18

you're not going to get any data,

2:54:19

then they're all there,

2:54:19

and they have weapons and mechanized, and they kill the drone.

2:54:23

Oh, I didn't know if they would notice it, but okay, that's fair.

2:54:28

You guys get back to the profunder.

2:54:30

I need someone to roll a deception roll.

2:54:33

We got those terrorists.

2:54:36

I have a deception, too.

2:54:38

Yeah, not me.

2:54:48

Oh my god, why am I the worst?

2:54:50

I was rolling so good.

2:54:53

Can I do a Diplomat check?

2:54:58

And shoot, I was on mute.

2:54:59

I was trying to say that I've got a plus three on that roll too.

2:55:04

Oh, well.

2:55:05

Here's my save.

2:55:07

I will let Steinbach say, oh, she's just lying.

2:55:12

She was the one who did everything and we all kind of sucked.

2:55:17

Okay.

2:55:18

Hey, I failed my early on test with these guys,

2:55:21

so I'm just a loader to them anyway, so saying that we suck should be believable.

2:55:29

They really believe you, like a lot.

2:55:31

Okay, yep.

2:55:34

They're like, oh, we understand.

2:55:37

As an executive, she wants to get the credit for her subordinates.

2:55:44

Yeah, something about the whole team succeeds or fails.

2:55:50

Exactly.

2:55:51

So, you guys get back on the Profunder,

2:55:54

you're eventually going to get your weekend off,

2:55:56

and I take it you guys are going to probably get on your ship's boat and fly

2:55:59

to another place illegally.

2:56:02

Yeah, probably.

2:56:05

Now, here is the issue I wanted to bring up.

2:56:09

So, on the 19th, I will be in Orlando.

2:56:18

Fun.

2:56:19

We need any day other than the 12th that people want to arrange

2:56:26

where people can play that doesn't take me organizing people to play.

2:56:33

So anyone who wants to initiate that, that would be great.

2:56:35

If no one initiates it, then there is not enough desire to play for another month.

2:56:42

When you say the 12th, are you saying next Monday?

2:56:46

Next Monday is the one day I cannot do it, is what I said.

2:56:50

Oh, well, a normal game would be the 19th.

2:56:52

Yes, and instead of the 19th, I will be in Orlando.

2:56:56

Oh, I am understanding now.

2:56:58

Yeah, I misunderstood.

2:57:00

Yes.

2:57:02

You guys want to try to do the 13th?

2:57:06

Can everyone do that Tuesday?

2:57:10

I cannot.

2:57:11

Okay.

2:57:12

So, again, you guys can organize it.

2:57:15

Yes.

2:57:16

Yes, I will make a post on Discord asking for dates for people and see

2:57:21

if we can work out something from there.

2:57:22

Okay.

2:57:24

I will let you all go.

2:57:25

Thank you all.

2:57:26

Have a wonderful night.

2:57:27

And I hope you enjoyed it.

2:57:28

Good night, guys.

2:57:29

Good night.

2:57:30

And that's all.

2:57:31

If you didn't, your clone did.

2:57:35

And hey, have a trans-darned night, everybody.

2:57:37

Yes.

2:57:37

Have a trans-darned night.
